All the staff had on masks and wiping down after customers. After a short wait we each went in one at a time for our eye exam. I went in with the kids. The eye doctor was friendly and patient with working with my kids especially my son who has ASD. He was able to get their prescription. The kids and I had a great time picking out our frames. They had lots to choose from. After two weeks out glasses were mailed to our house. We brought them in for adjustments for the kids. Every one was happy with the prescription and frame choices.

Although it's only rarely happened in the past few years, they offered me water when they were running late. I thought this was nice touch. Running behind doesn't happen often, but they are prepared to accommodate you just in case. Jennifer, the technician, worked me up prior to seeing the doctor. She is very sweet! After Jennifer was finished, I saw dr. Kaufman. He was personable and kind. He said my glasses prescription had changed and my eyes were overall healthy. Next, I went to the optical and they had a great selection of glasses. Misha, the optician, helped me pick some out frames. She didn't pressure me into buying anything which was refreshing. Other optical shops have made me feel pressured to buy expensive frames I did not want. Not the case at kaufman eye institute! I ended up buying a cute pair of glasses. I had PanOptix placed in my eye Feb 7th, 2020. This lens did not work for me, I did have 20/20 vision, but the rings and halos ruined my night vision and I was in great distress. The surgeon that placed it in my eye would not remove it. I was running out of time as I was almost 5 months post op from PanOptix and this lens needed to get removed quickly if it were going to be successfully removed and replaced with a Crystalens. I began my search for a doctor that would replace the lens and give me back my beautiful night vision. Dr. Mahootchi listened to me, heard my despair and told me I didn't have to live like this and that he would do a lens exchange for me. Because I felt so confident in him through reading of his experience and all his wonderful reviews on many forums I decided to take the trip across the country, even during a pandemic and see him! Daniel helped setup my appointment over the phone and explained any questions I had. Once I got there I was greeted by Daniel and he took me in one of the rooms to take an eye exam. Daniel is very calm and very patient, as he explained everything in great detail along the way. I have been wearing glasses my entire life so I wanted to try Contact Lenses for the first time. Shortly after Dr. Vo came in and explained everything to me regarding my eye exam and any questions I had about contact lenses. Dr. Vo was very patient in explaining everything to me about contacts, and she simply put the lenses in my eye so show me how painless this was going to be. Finally I walked around the store in search of a pair of new glasses as well, the store is very clean and well organised. Finally I got to meet Ellie who is probably one of the sweetest people I have met in my life. Ellie helped me in picking out my frame and explaining all the different options and add ons along with pricing as I do not have insurance. Their office was very understanding with the add ons I selected for my glasses. I have been back to this office another 2 times for additional testing on my eyes due to some concerns from Dr. Vo.
