I called at 7:30 or so and asked if they would be able to help me out with my big baller check. They said sure and asked how much it was. That's when I got nervous. A lot of people and or check cashing spots aren't used to people that handle this amount of money like myself. I let her know that it was about $21 and change and she said oh okay yeah come on in. The relief I felt was similar to the time I left the Jerry Springer show studio after finding out that the baby was my best friends instead of mine. That is probably one of the best moments of my life. Anyway, going back to the phone call. I was greeted with the angelic welcoming warm voice of a young lady named Maria. She told me her name and I thought it was talking to Aaliyah. She really rocked the boat when she told me that the check amount wasn't anything but a number I'm just kidding none of that happened but she was very professional and welcoming over the phone. So I showed up 45 seconds later drunk as hell jk again but yeah it was the smoothest a check cashing transaction has ever went. She was fast friendly and professional. I used to have to use the Whittier or La Habra branches, but they've opened a new branch near La Serna and Whittier Blvd. This branch is so convenient for me, since just down the street from Vons and Ralph's. The only drawback is their new building. There is no drive up ATM and only one ATM window outside. However, I still enjoy walking in and conversing with the friendly tellers.

She appeared annoyed when I asked her a question about my account and adding my husband's name to an account that I had there. I also had my 4 year old with me at the time. During the course of our interaction at one point, and did not hear when she requested my account number, as I got distracted by my child for a second. She stated, in a very rude tone, " I have asked you for your account, a few times." which was a LIE. I confirmed my account number to her, and she responded with attitude, restating the account numbers, for confirming. Her tone came across as that of annoying and she did not smile. CSU CALIFORNIA, If you are in a customer service position, please hire courteous employees, that are not disrespectful, and treat the members with appropriate customer service. What is the point of hiring people who obviously do not have good customer service and make the members feel unappreciated. My interaction with her was not pleasant and I can receive proper customer service at another credit union. I will make sure NOT to refer anyone to this credit union, as I would never want others to be treated in this manner. Do better CSU SO CAL. She was short in height, with black hair and tattoos and I hope she is reprimanded for her poor behavior.

I needed to use the ATM to thin out my wallet of the small bills. Too many ones and fives! Who knew…read morethat these machines or the credit union themselves were so picky! The machine rejected some of the bills. Unsure why. Possibly the scanner couldn't read an imperfect bill. A bit annoyed to say the least. I didn't have the time to iron these bills flat and perfect so the machine can recognize the denomination. I was able to deposit most of the wad of the 30 small bills. It's a nice location in the Westridge shopping center next to Wescom Credit Union and Lane Bryant.
