The best part is they have samples waiting for you right at the door. Dark or milk chocolate ~ trust me you won't be disappointed. As you breeze through the store you'll find other small dishes of candy to sample. Not only do they have chocolates but they have a variety of other candies ~ including Jelly Bellies :) You can find really nice last minute gift items here too. Be sure and check the sale table for great bargains! I love stopping here, especially around the holidays, because there is always something special. If there's a chocolate you want to try just ask the girls behind the counter, they're more than happy to accommodate you with a sample bite.

Esther Price needs to step up it's management program as well as the program for clerks. The manager is OFF Again today. Both parking lot and store floor are empty of consumers, why? Previous Rates: Earlier in 2025, reciprocal tariffs added 10%-15% to landed costs, with some specific products facing, or threatening, even higher duties. Impact: The tariffs, combined with high global commodity prices, caused significant disruptions to U.S. chocolate makers (e.g., Hershey), forcing higher retail prices (10-20% increases) and reducing consumer demand. Though federal officials announced the lifting of tariffs in November 2025, some industry members reported a delay in seeing actual cost relief, with some reports noting continued, targeted duties. Severe drought, exacerbated by climate change and heat, is severely impacting West African cocoa production, particularly in Ivory Coast and Ghana, which produce over half the world's cocoa. Widespread dry conditions affect over half of Ivory Coast and two-thirds of Ghana, threatening major harvest seasons. Key affected areas include central and western regions of Ivory Coast. Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and Ghana are currently the primary drought-stricken cocoa areas in Africa, together accounting for roughly 60% of global production. As of late March 2026, drought conditions blanket more than half of Côte d'Ivoire and approximately two-thirds of Ghana, significantly threatening the mid-season harvest.

The Looking Glass has always been one of my favorite shops in Waynesville. The shop is always kept…read morevery updated and fresh, so visiting season to season ensures new items and it won't be the same old, same old, like some of the little shops of Waynesville. The thing I like best about this shop is that they offer fresh and local hard-to-find plants (live) that are nice for accenting home decor items and offers custom-made items throughout the store. They also have a ton of mental fabrication products that are bright and cheery and great for outside displays or gardens. They recently just added a small clothing section in the back that is pretty neat, if you are a normal size person - unlike me- so finding clothing for me at these types of stores is difficult. I always say, fat people shop too - but it's so hard to find places that offer plus size clothing that's hip or different from the norm. The other thing I like about this shop is shopping is relaxing without being badgered by the sales person or owner, like many of the other shops. They are very friendly and greet you, are helpful and there if you need them, but the pressure if off and everything is clearly marked, as far as pricing, and allows time to focus on purchasing. Which is always a win win for everyone. I would highly recommend visiting this shop should you love gardening, farmhouse decor, natural wood decor and just anything else that's pretty and creative. Find your one-of-a-kind item here for gifts or for yourself. They do not have a private parking lot, but there are plenty of parking spots on the street or around the downtown shopping area.
