I went to Fleurish Home to purchase Jolie paint to paint my kitchen cabinets…read more The sales person sold me 4 cans of paint and a paintbrush for over $150 knowing I needed to test the paint on my cabinets before painting my entire kitchen full of them. Once I tested the paint I decided to use a different brand and went to return the unopened unused paint and they wouldn't allow me to. I'm sure the salesperson works on commission and tricked me into purchasing more than just a sample size knowing I couldn't return the rest. I spoke to the store manager and owner and they said "sorry, we will not do anything to help you". Obviously I wanted my money back but said I would take a store credit and still they wouldn't help me. I was pregnant with 2 toddlers so they knew I didn't have all day to stand and argue. Again, avoid this store at all costs.

Their experienced staff helped me pick out a bracelet and earring set to make from my bridal bouquet and they turned out gorgeous, and I love wearing them. It's just such a cool, unique keepsake from that special day that I can wear and enjoy for years to come. The other two experiences with flowers from a funeral were wonderful. We were able to make five lovely ornaments and one tall tabletop cylinder from a bouquet we had pulled from the service. The ornaments come in several sizes and we chose the larger one, which is able to fit two smaller flowers or one big one and some filler (greenery, baby's breath, etc) with a cream ribbon and a silver tag with the initials of our loved one on it. It's just such a special, unique way to remember someone and it's really lovely. The flower preservation process is not a quick one, it takes about eight weeks. But it makes for such a beautiful gift that the wait is absolutely worth it. They have preserved flowers from all across the country (and even Australia, twice!) - check them out!

My sister got…read moremarried in Virginia and got her flowers preserved there, so I searched for somewhere similar in my area and was very intrigued by Freezeframe, especially since the Dublin location is 15 minutes from my house. I took my bouquet there the Monday after my wedding, and I was like a kid in a candy store! The associate helped me pick out a frame, and backdrop color, asked which were my favorite flowers and took copious notes and photos, etc. I selected the pave style, which is less expensive than preserving the whole bouquet but I think it looks better. After everything, mine came out to about $300, which I think was a great price considering I got a medium size and a fancier frame, and how much attention they clearly put into every bouquet. Everyone I worked with was incredibly kind, it seems like a fun place to work. The only downside? I dropped it off in early June and got it back the following March!! It was hard to wait but it was fun to have one final thing from the wedding to look forward to after all the photos and albums were done.

The store is clean, it's never terribly crowded and when I bring in one of my previously bought plush to get accessories for it's never a bad time. They usually have a great amount of stock, and never rush you at the stuffer. I'm also an adult but never had them not do the whole ceremony with me or not offer to smell a new scent with me. As I said, super nice people. I even see the staff has plushies they bring in to work their shifts with them which is a great touch and makes the whole place feel very accepting. Honestly it's just a 10/10 store. Wish I had photos of the store itself but have a pic of my bat plush in the window.

We had a great experience when we visited to try out this new Birthday Bear program. Come in any…read moretime during your child's birth month and you only pay their age. $2 was quite a deal! This covers just the bear, it's stuffing (including the heart) and then a "bath". They do encourage you to record a message on a little device they put in the Bear. This is extra! And obviously all the clothes and accessories are extra. While my little boy didn't quite understand what we were doing at first, he absolutely loved pressing the pedal that makes the stuffing go into the Bear (because pressing buttons is fun!). The stuffing brought the Bear to life for my son, so he was excited to pick out a heart, give it a kiss, have me give it a kiss, too, and put it in the bear's chest. Then it was bath time for the Bear (my son loved the scrubbing brush so much that I think he wanted to keep it lol). At the register I simply had to confirm my account. Easy! And affordable. We'll probably do it again for the baby we're expecting late this year!

They also have discount/sale section in the store. On our first visit we found a lot of traditional Catholic books (pre-Vatican II doctrine) from publishers such as TAN and Loreto Publishers. The store also carried many Tridentine Latin Mass Missals and excellent devotionals to enhance one's spiritual life such as the Blessed Sacrament prayerbook by Fr. Lasance. This time around, the book selection had changed. Most of the books selection contain Conciliar (post-Vatican II doctrine) teachings. Compared to traditional Catholic teachings, Conciliar books are written ambiguously and do not deepen one's faith, and generally sound Protestant. Although we were able to find a few Catholic books by the old TAN publishers, most of the book contents have been revised and edited to conform to Conciliar theology after TAN Books was acquired by Saint Benedict Press in 2008. The lady at the store was helpful and checkout is easy. Parking is right outside the store. Will definitely stop by again if in the area. + In JMJ +

The walls are lined with plushies. They even carry the gigantic, multi-feet plushies from the Pokemon Center if that's your jam. Original 151 also picks up some of the Pokemon Center's limited time merch, letting you pick up some of the cuties without having to pay import fees and shipping. Prices here are higher than Pokemon Center, but they really aren't bad. Considering I don't have to pay shipping or import it, it's cheaper than buying from the Pokemon Center site itself. I love popping in here to see their seasonal merch too. They usually will carry a limited selection of the Pokemon Center's seasonal merch. It's often holiday decorations, but they have seasonal plushies too. (Summer's seasonal stuff last year included a gigantic, multi-foot Ditto pool floatie) In addition to plushies, they also have stationary, plates/cups, backpacks, jewelry, household decor, blindbox toys, Pokemon cards and all sorts of TCG accessories, keychains, and more. Plushies are the big seller, but they have pretty much everything Pokemon you could imagine. They have a niche, and they're sticking to it. They recently expanded and "ate" the store next door to turn that area into a Pokemon card game room. If you like Pokemon cards, they have events for playing. While you're here, this entire mall was kinda turned into a nerdy, anime-weeb mall. Hit up the other anime and nerd stores in the mall while you're here. It's absolutely impressive how weeb the whole mall is now. (Not even a bad thing. It's super cool.)
