Been working out here for quite sometime now and finally decided to leave a review after my All…read moreAccess Membership ended! Price: First...yes, classes are expensive! However, they do have a few discount options for memberships and class packs. I enjoyed my All Access Membership because it allowed me to take unlimited classes and to reserve my spot for class up to 2 weeks in advance. I started out with the 1 week trial (no credit card needed) and fell in love with this studio. With my membership I was able to frequent different locations as well and take classes in other studios besides Kapolei. Classes: As someone who used to weight lift and run, I naturally gravitated to Yoga Sculpt and Strength X. Yoga Sculpt is a mix of classic yoga poses with compound-complex patterns using low resistance and high repetition sets. All of the sculpt instructors I have taken are amazing. I like Strength X as well for circuit training: lifting heavier weights with less repetitions. Some weeks I like to do the Core Restore classes which include breath work and holding a stretch position for 3-5 minutes. I have yet to try actual yoga classes here but all in all, I feel like there's a class for everyone. Ambiance: The energy is amazing, especially here at Kapolei. Instructors are extremely friendly and welcoming. You grow to be a part of their family and community the more you come in to take classes. Parking can sometimes be a hassle but it's in a shopping center with lots of stalls but limited ones directly adjacent to CPY. Verdict: If you are looking for some structure with working out and getting moving, I highly recommend CPY! It is worth the price when you break the cost of everything down. Plus, health is wealth!

I have never been to Pinedale and I have never been to Wind River Yoga. However, I have…read moreexperienced the magic and quality of this place via a yoga retreat associated with Wind River Yoga. I attended a retreat in Nicaragua last month at AQUA Wellness. The retreat was hosted by Wind River's founder, Darcie Peck. The majority of attendees were regulars at Wind River. Being a random Canadian, I knew no one and only had a rough idea for what to expect for yoga practice. I was not disappointed. Darcie is an AMAZING yoga teacher. She is very good at bringing in the more spiritual aspects of practice while still giving you a good work out. Her classes were fresh and different every time we practiced. I left each practice feeling as though something inside of me had moved, shifted just a little, and at the end of the week I felt truly transformed. I hope to be able to actually visit Pinedale and Wind River Yoga sometime in the near future as Darcie's classes were truly a yoga experience unlike any other I have had, and I MISS that and NEED that on a more regular basis! I really do feel Pinedale is fortunate to have this place which is why I felt the need to write this review!

Most classes I've attended have been in nature, with amazing ocean views, or even right on a peaceful beach! I've taken a few random yoga classes here and there, but I would definitely not consider myself to have much experience at all. She did an excellent job making me feel comfortable, even tho I'm pretty inflexible, while gently pushing me to be a little more flexible! There were other students that had a lot of experience and knew the poses by name and could do them instinctively, but Alexandra took the time to come over and gently adjust my poses to help me do them right! She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed with no judgement for newcomers who have no clue what they are doing, while still challenging the experienced yoggies! I also loved how she guides your mind and spirit along with your body, making you feel very harmonious! The meditation at the end with warm towels and essential oils was the icing on the cake! 10/10 would recommend!! She doesn't charge anything for her classes, so be sure to tip her well! Thank you for making me feel comfortable and welcomed Alexandra!

The Barefoot Ballroom is upstairs, and as the name suggests, this is a shoes off facility. The lobby downstairs is welcoming and has two restrooms, along with another room used for classes. The upstairs Barefoot Ballroom is where I took both of my class types. I was a little curious about the ceiling height for aerial yoga since it is a regular height ceiling rather than a tall studio, but it ended up not being an issue at all for the class. Everything was set up well and we had plenty of room to move. I also love that they offer virtual classes, so you can even take hula classes from home . That is such a fun option if you want to learn something Hawaiian while you are away from the islands. Overall, a welcoming studio with great instructors and a nice variety of classes. I would definitely take another class here if I am back in Honolulu.
