She wiped off the spit off my son and continued letting the kid be so rowdy. Even another customer had to get involved and tell him to not keep running out the door where it's near the road. The woman who did my set was very friendly and sweet! I asked for acrylic and was informed they do…read morenot offer that service, but she offered gel-x instead. I asked for ballerina shaped nails and as you can see, these are almond. It's a common mistake inexperienced nail tech's can make if they aren't familiar with standard nail shapes. It was a bit of a red flag, but I didn't ask for them to be fixed because I'm not picky about shape. I loved the feel of the gel-x set, they were lightweight and looked very natural. Unfortunately, the gel polish began to bubble up and peeled off within the first week of having them. She had another tech come and assist her with curing the polish. Between two people, I would expect one to catch a curing mistake especially due to the risk of contact dermatitis. I can only assume this salon has low standards for hiring and it wasn't just the one inexperienced tech. Which is a much bigger issue. I'm not sure how they have stayed open because it appears I'm not the only one who has had these issues with Thy Nails, but based on how empty the salon was when I went in (save one person getting a pedicure) I imagine they will not be a lasting business. The vibe was good, but unfortunately that cannot make up for low quality services and work.

I'm a shy person so I don't mind not having a conversation while getting my pedicure and just being able to relax. I got the Sun-Kissed pedicure which comes with paraffin dip, hot towel, massage etc and the massage was amazing! The paraffin and hot towel were so relaxing. And my nail tech was accommodating to adding extra sparkles when the polish wasn't working very well. Definitely returning! The only thing I would say negative is that the water got cold too quickly.
