Five star rating... but this place deserves 10 stars!…read more Truly exceptional establishment in its cleanliness and maintenance of facilities and grounds, outstanding and such friendly staff and overall beautiful & peaceful environment. As frequent travelers from Seattle area to Canada for our daughters hockey games, we look forward to staying at Cedars RV Resort and will continue the tradition we've started. Just an extremely well-run operation and we're so happy we discovered this place with such wonderful people. One time the door on our travel trailer somehow wasn't properly secured when we left it... so during a breezy rainstorm while we were not there, the door physically opened. Scott, Cedars maintenance manager, was first to notice the problem and shut the door, but it could not be locked without the key, so Yvette, operations manager, was so kind to call me to make me aware of the situation, out of concern that the door might open on its own again and our camper might be subjected to water damage. Yvette went out of her way to let me know what happened in case I wanted to lock the door, and I thought this really speaks to the high level of customer care at Cedars. With all of her other responsibilities as manager of operations at Cedars, this kind of concern by Yvette and her staff for those at the property was really wonderful, and points to why Cedars is such a beautiful, well-maintained and popular vacation spot. Yvette, you and your staff rock!

The staff is very friendly in helping you connect if you are not sure. They are also great in dealing with a neighbor who is not dog-pug friendly. Great walking around the park especially near the fish pond. The Rows A & B are great as they are grass spots, not all concrete. The park is truly well designed. Showers had great hot water when it was 40 deg outside. Such a relaxing time was spent here. NOTE: A lot of Canadian RVers come here every weekend, so this is something to consider ... make a reservation! BAD - their signage. Hard to see until you are upon it & this is a problem. The cost for the washer dryer is higher than another park and they need more updated machines.

Some RV sites are on concrete pads with concrete patios (no grass), some are concrete pads with grass lawns, and some are grass lots. This KOA also has a swimming pool, a very well kept mini golf (those of you who camp a lot know how rare this is), huge play ground for the kids, two ponds with ducks, frogs and fish (fishing limit of 3 per camper), paddle boats, Friday night movies on the sloped lawn, bingo, ladder ball... too much to list! The grounds are immaculate and the large staff works to keep it that way. They have a well stocked store (hours 9-9) and a separate "Den" for coffee, ice cream, and arcade games. The laundry room is unrivaled and the bathrooms/showers are the envy of most RV parks. The park only has propane filling during certain hours BUT they will fill and deliver your LP tank to your site!!!!! Seriously, who does that?! The service at this KOA is reminiscent of the 1950s, when one could expect spectacular service for a nominal cost. I only have two wishes: 1. I wish I had more vacation time at work! 2. I wish I had visited sooner! Treat yourself. Make your reservations and enjoy this gem. :)

The issue lies with the campground manager Teniah. On multiple occasions, I've witnessed her being openly hostile toward her coworkers, using profanity, and behaving in an extremely unprofessional manner. Earlier this summer during a weekend stay i overheard her lashing out at a sweet office worker over small things simply because she was "overwhelmed". While doing laundry, I even heard her swearing about customers, which is unacceptable in a role meant to assist and welcome guests. On this most recent trip things wereworse. Teniah was extremely aggressive toward my young grandchildren when they came in to buy candy, again because she was overwhelmed and couldn't handle the situation professionally. Then another office worker Hailey, disappeared into the bathroom near the office for an extended period, coughing heavily and clearly under the influence of marijuana. My granddaughter and her friends even saw her smoking a weed vape in the bathroom, which is completely unacceptable in a family-friendly campground. Guests pay hundreds of dollars to stay here and should not have to deal with this kind of unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. Aside from these two staff members, the rest of the team was amazing, and the campground itself is fantastic. Unfortunately, because of Teniah's hostility and Hailey's inappropriate actions, i no longer feel comfortable bringing my family here. After years of visiting this KOA, it's heartbreaking to say I won't be returning.

I am 17 now, volunteering my spring and summer breaks to work at the camp I feel changed me the most! As a kid I loved tons of activities like all the games, swimming, sports day and of course all the crafty things I got to take home with me. Reaching my adult years and I still love the sport of Riding and the experience of being around horses. Working at Webbs gives me a chance to help and give back to other children. My family at Webbs is forever expanding, and if you're thinking of sending your child here, I can only give you support! working at Webbs gives you a whole different perspective on how things are run, compared to as when your a child actually staying at the camp. a basic broken down list of the week for you (long weeks) Sunday-Saturday (short weeks) Monday-Friday FIRST DAY: its basically all the rules, guide lines and all the "what you need to know" things. You walk up to the fields with the consolers to visit all of the horses, and when you return you go to your dorm to get beds and dorm rules sorted out. Snack is served and a camp fire is put on just before bed. EARLY IN THE WEEK: BELL RINGS!! TIME FOR BREAKFAST! After breakfast is the first dorm inspection, this is where the messiest dorm, after provided cleaning time, is choosing to clean the tables at lunch, dinner (that day) and breakfast tomorrow! (don't worry its fun!) Children get divided into mixed groups so there are enough horses for each child in a group. Groups ride at different times of the day and rotate order on the following days. In the morning groups who are not riding do activities and games with their group leaders like; Manhunt, Kick The Can, Octopus ect. There is a playground, volley ball court, basket ball court, gym, arts and crafts room and of course the pool! After lunch the remaining group(s) go riding and other groups get into the groove of games :) MIDDLE OF THE WEEK: Because they're so many options of things to do, it keeps everyone busy throughout the week. Another activity that is from Webbs Holiday Acres traditions is sports day, where pool and field events are held and groups compete friendly against each other, and cheer on friends during events. END OF THE WEEK: The first half of the week goes the slowest with everyone still getting to know everyone and their surroundings, but by the middle and the end of the week, you can hear everyone complaining how the week is coming to an end. A very cool and fun way to bring the week to an end, is how Webbs does the last full day at camp!! after riding, activities and dinner Kangaroo Court is held where any child with any kind of crime that week has to face the wrath of one of Webbs judges. crimes range anything from falling off of your horse (punishment might be: hug/kiss the ground and thank it for catching you) or Julie for always wearing dresses, (punishment might be: must wear pants for the rest of Kangaroo court) We always encourage good things and lots of children get to go home with a horseshoe for being a good friend, good rider, or helper at the barn. After this entertaining trial everyone runs for their dorms to get ready for the DANCE!!! The dance was always my favourite part of the week, because you had your friends established, and that night you just let loose, have a little bit to much candy and sing and dance the night away with your friends. Thats my little summary of Webbs Holiday Acres, I hope you give it a try! I'll see you there!! ;) Danielle (probably 10+ years of Webbs Summers)

More importantly, it's an outstanding summer experience for kids who love (and want to ride) horses and want to make new friends. I know this firsthand, having spent many summers as a child at Webb's in the past. Looking back, spending an entire week (6 nights, 7 days) away from your parents, in a different setting, with all sorts of new people and daily activities, is a really great way to grow as a kid. FYI: Some of these activities included: campfire songs and storytelling, trail riding horses, going to a non-school dance, participating in skits, playing capture the flag, etc, etc. I recommend this place to my friends who are parents now, and still sometimes go and visit. Since it's only 50-minute drive from central Vancouver, it still feels like a convenient country escape. Some of the friendships I made during my summers here have lasted a lifetime.

Prices are pretty reasonable and we chose the two hour option due to our limited time during the sunset period. The staff were busy but friendly and assisted us with our kayaks. They will brief you about the kayaks, safety and where to go. Now, I would select a longer time to truly appreciate Deep Cove's natural beauty when you aren't dodging other kayaks or boats. The traffic can be somewhat chaotic in the summer time and it is main area for a lot of boaters heading out of the cove. We kayak around three islands within our two hour option, but didn't relax as much as we want. Again, the salt water, slight wind, and being in the 80's made it a wonderful but brief time.

Our guides were knowledgeable and got us in and out of our kayak without us getting our feet wet. I didn't give five stars for two reasons. First, the two guides seemed a bit lax, they mostly paddled with us instead of taking lead and sweep positions, despite the fact that two out of the six of us had never kayaked before. They did look back periodically to check on everyone, but it was still strange compared to other kayak tours I've been on. Second, they didn't take pictures of us, other tours I've been on do it as a matter of course and email or post pictures to everyone. Still, this was a very worthwhile experience, and everyone enjoyed the views, the seals we saw in the water, etc., and no one had trouble keeping up despite the wind and the range of both ages and kayaking experience.
