The woman doing my nails sat me down after doing my pedi and right before starting my full set saw another woman walk in. She asked the woman to come back in an hour, the woman responds she can't. So she gets up (while I'm sitting there) and proceeded to take care of the woman who just walked in. Then tells me to wait a little bit while she waxes or does her eye brows. I walked in on a Sunday for a much needed pedi and eyebrow waxing. It was busy. Every tech was with a client. I thought for sure it was going to be a long wait but to my surprise I was called in no time. Less than 10 minutes. Water for the pedicure was the perfect temperature. Spa chairs were super comfortable. Tai did my pedicure and was a doll and fast. She asked once if I wanted the deluxe pedicure and when I said just the regular she carried on and didn't upsell me on anything else. Pedi was done fast and she did a great job. Since I have been away from home for 4 weeks my poor eyebrows were a furry mess. After my pedi Tai did my eyebrows as well and I didn't even shed a tear. My brows are perfect and I'm bummed Tai is all the way out in Denver. I noticed that there is a strong regular client base and the staff acknowledged each of them by name which impressed me. The space is cute with it's orange and hot pink colors. 6 pedicure spa chairs and 7 manicure stations. A few more chairs would be nice in the waiting area but there was a great magazine spread to choose from. The salon was very clean and as soon as Tai was done with my pedicure she washed and sanitized the tools used. A HUGE plus for using a salt scrub (without an additional charge) and warm lotion. Price for a pedi and eyebrow waxing was $35. If I lived in this area this would totally be my nail shop. read more

I have never been too impressed by their work. Pedicures are fine. I got an acrylic rebase today and they did a terrible job. My nails are all different shapes and lengths. The acrylic is packed on too heavily and she didn't clean up under the nail. There is dried acrylic stuck under my nails. Both my finger and toe got horrible infections. They also refused to give me what I asked for on my nails, and gave me a horrible acrylic job instead. My nails have never looked worse. I have been coming here for years...so why the bad review? One of the best ways to truly get to know a place, their customer service and the quality of their work is to go when it is busy. I took my mom here for mother's day and the place was a zoo. Forget that we had a reservation, we had to wait an additional 30 minutes anyway. What was once an attentive and clean salon is now a dirty hole in the wall. The decor is still cute, but if you look closely you'll find the following: - broken chairs that do not heat up the water so the staff has to dump boiling water into the tub - soap scum and other nasty stuff that I don't want to know what it is at the bottom of the tub that your feet sit in - Dirty and stained chairs that are held together by duct tape - Hair all over the floor that you have to walk across in bare feet if you're getting a pedicure I went back to give them another try since I really have been a fan of the place for years, but it just keeps getting worse. This time, for a manicure, on a seemingly slower Monday. She didn't remove all the nail polish and my nails were unevenly filed. All seems a bit petty, except I was there for a manicure! To top it all off, the gal doing my nails kept taking calls or texts on her cell during my appointment. Needless to say, I will not be back to Ooo La La Nails again. read more

My soon-to-be sister in law came here (by appointment) to get our nails done for my bachelorette party. At first, everyone seemed very nice and the place is cute and clean. We both went in to get full sets of pink and white done. The woman that my sis in law was paired with started covering her whole nail with the pink part-no white. When my sis spoke up to say she wanted a pink and white, her nail tech rolled her eyes, put her elbow on the table, and scoffed. So my sister wanted to work with someone else; the owner came over to help her and she told him to just put polish over everything and be done with it. He asked her several times if she just wanted polish...I still don't know how that is so hard to understand. Finally the third person that was helping her jumped in at the last minute to try and salvage the situation, painted her nails with a French tip. Still not what she wanted. I had asked to get a set of pink and white as well. They asked me if I wanted colored tips so I said yes and picked out a color. When I left, they pulled the old "bait and switch" and charged me for a full set of gel nails, when I was under the impression I was getting a pink and white. The owner said it was because "the colored tips were the gel nails." I will NEVER go back! Go spend your money elsewhere!! You can get a pretty decent manicure anywhere for $50! read more

My technician seemed very rushed. I had old polish left on my toes and nails that I had to ask to be taken off at the end. Overall, my nails and toes do not look good. I have been going to the Highlands Ranch location since it was first open. I used to like it a lot and had very good service and they did a good job with pedicures and manicures. However, in the last few years, the quality of the pedicures and manicures have gone down to the point that I am willing to pay more elsewhere to get a good job. They have hired men who don't speak English and can't understand what you need to have done with your nails. Very disappointing but I have given this location several chances to do a good job and it doesn't matter who I get (with the exception of Lisa) I come out wondering why I keep going back. Yesterday, I went in for a mani/pedi and usually I don't get manicures, but I needed some work done on my cuticles. Not only was the pedicure done by a man, but the nails look horrible and you are supposed to get a massage on your lower legs when they put lotion on them - The lotion when on and within a minute he was done with each leg, not even rubbing the lotion in completely. Then because he was struggling with me, another person took over and did my manicure and she kept shaking her head at me because my hands weren't as relaxed as she is used to, and when I asked questions about nail polish I was not familiar with, such as shellac (sp?) she seemed to be irritated with my lack of knowledge. Hence the reason I typically don't get manicures. Finally, I assumed there would be a top coat put on my nails to protect them, but that wasn't the case with the manicure. I had a French manicure which was also $5 more and not explained to me ahead of time. I probably won't return as there are so many choices in and around the area. read more

I asked for a mani for my daughter and the lady said "a mani for her?!" With the most disgusted look. Yes, that's why we are here. The guy that did my nails didn't let my daughter sit next to me, our backs were facing each other. He did my nails in 10 mins... shelac in 10 mins?! He didn't trim my cuticles or shape my nails. The shelac is all lumpy and uneven. So disappointed. My daughters nails were done in 2 mins. They painted them and called it a day. Never going back to this place. read more

The color choices here are pretty small compared to other salons as well. However, the college-aged nail techs are really nice and are very hard working. I made an appointment for myself and my boyfriend (his first time) for "Regular"pedicures. I was also getting a full set.. My pedicure finished first so I went over to the nail chair to begin my nails. I turned around to see my boyfriends nail tech doing all of these different add ons to his "regular" pedicure. She had hot stones, paraffin wax, the whole deluxe package. She never asked him, she just did it after I left. He had no idea what I ordered for him, so he said nothing. When asked about it, she said she asked him, not true! Then the owner said he heard her ask him, which would be hard to hear because he was outside or in the back most of the time. She played my boyfriend, thinking I wouldn't say anything. So they were basically calling my boyfriend a liar. Also, if you make a later appointment and it gets to be 5:30 and they close at 6:00, they will start vacuuming and cleaning around you. This has happened to me twice now. I also told the manager that I come to the salon to relax, and don't think that vacuuming while guests are still in the salon is very polite. Also, I was trying to take my pedicure sandals off, and in doing so messed up one of my nails. My nail tech was very perturbed with me, and let me know it. I felt like a child who was being scolded. Except I'm 53, and she was at least half my age. What was suppose to be a relaxing, fun evening turned out to be a very expensive, frustrating evening. I have been coming to Oo La La for over 7 years now! I recommend them to all of my friends(and I have some picky friends) who have all become regulars here. I have NEVER seen them turn someone away because they are busy or about to close. As a matter of fact, my sister and I came in one time close to closing time and they stayed late to make sure we got our manicures and pedicures. I have seen them treat children like royalty(girls AND boys). There was a little brother in here who was 4 and wanted Hulk green nails. My last visit was very disappointing. Went in for a mani / pedi thought it would be $30. The person who took care of me was not friendly When I went to pay my price was double. I did change to shellac and by the sign should have been an additional $15 so then I expected to pay $45. I was charged $65 tried to talk with them about why I was charged so much more and they just kept repeating $65. Wouldn't listen to me and honor the pricing on their sign. Very disappointed.
