Two item dinner combo with lemon chicken, Szechuan beef, fried rice, and egg roll

Continuing on to find a go to Chinese restaurant that I can frequent led me to this place. This place is a couple of miles from my home, so that is a plus. I was excited that they offered a two item dinner combo. I called the restaurant to put my order in. The woman who answered the phone was very friendly and promised my food would be ready in 10 minutes. I went with lemon chicken and Szechuan beef. The meal includes fried rice and an egg roll. I arrived at the restaurant in a few minutes, and my order was waiting for me. I was greeted by a friendly employee, and quickly paid. I didn't dine in this time but the restaurant was clean and spacious. I like the decor as well. The fried rice was unique and slightly different than what I had in the past. I tried the lemon chicken first. It was a generous size and was crispy and light. It paired well with the lemon sauce. The Szechuan beef was just okay. I wish it had been spicer. Lastly, the egg roll was great. I will definitely be coming back here again soon to try their other entrees.

Always a solid place to get a good Asian food meal. It's local, friendly, and tasty.

Great service, ample seating, ample parking. We really enjoyed the food, very tasty! Our server was helpful and had a good sense of humor.

Always great service and very clean. I ordered the lunch special sweet and sour chicken with fried rice that comes with egg drop soup and an egg roll. The soup was rich and delicious and the fried noodles were fresh and crispy. You can tell they hand make the sweet and sour chicken. It was crispy and juicy and delicious. My only complaint is there are no veggies that come with sweet and sour chicken. I wish they would at least include bell peppers.

We decided to try this place and sadly I regret doing so. Reading the reviews I was very excited because I haven't had 'Chinese' food in a while and this place has a huge following behind it... my family and I ended up getting sick. We each had a chicken meal and we each had beef so we aren't sure what exactly made us sick. I did find some pieces of beef in mine that were undercooked (still pink) but I'm used to medium/ medium rare steaks so I didn't think much of it but it could have been that. Flavor was just "meh". The lemon sauce for the lemon chicken just tasted like chemical, no real lemon which was a bummer. The sauce on the beef just tasted like brown gravy, not Mongolian beef. I've also never had fried rice like this. I'm not sure, maybe this place just wasn't up to my taste but I wouldn't come back here.

Noodles were not great. Very watery and lacking flavor. Disappointing. Oddly enough the veggies did have some flavor in them

I was craving Chinese food and had heard good things about Oolong from neighbors. So my husband and I decided to try this place out. Service was great. Our server started out a little serious but as our meal progressed and she checked on us she got more friendly and by the time we were done she was joking with us and laughing. The food was not bad and after reading other reviews that the lomein was flavorless, was pleasantly surprised to find that they in fact had a decent amount of flavor. I just wish that it had a bit more chicken than it did. The husband liked the fried rice and overall it was a good experience. Definitely plan to go back and try some other dishes.

Walked in and waited for a few minutes before someone handed us menus and told us to sit wherever. Just handed us menus...in a kind of "just go sit down kinda way". Not real friendly. The appetizer we ordered (veggie steamed dumplings) came out with one less dumpling than promised on the menu. My wife's noodles were nothing special, as was my spicy/numbing pot. I felt my pot in particular, was over-loaded with huge chunks of veggies that could have been better chopped as to be more manageable. More chicken and beef in that chicken and beef pot, too, please ... The person waiting on us, if you could call it that, was not personable and could not have cared less about interacting. His drive by meal drop-offs were the epitome of antisocial. Probably won't return.

I have been to this restaurant several times which I did like. It rank higher than the other few places available in San Antonio. The service is always good and from observing I see a lot of Chinese families visiting and chit chatting with who seems to be the owner. I do like that a lot! It gives a positive sign about the restaurant itself The portions are huge! I ordered the whole chicken? Sichuan style. I asked if it is the whole chicken I don't know if language barrier lol she did the sign of no no with her hand. It is actually maybe equal to 2 chickens! Not complaining! I was very happy with it! I eat all kinds of meat. So I always order the pork and chive dumplings :D ! Whether you come in on a weekday or weekend, it always helps to come early if you can! If we want to go there for lunch, we try to get there as close to 11 am as possible when they first open. As it gets closer to 12 noon, it starts to get really busy, and it's harder and trickier for the staff to seat you. There is both booth and table seating. It's a great restaurant to catch up with friends, family or even colleagues over a good meal :) ! The parking lot out in front is a pretty decent size. But it can fill up pretty quickly when it gets busy! We also love ordering frozen dumplings to go :D ! For sure, we will definitely come back :D ! Kung Fu Noodle never disappoints :) !

Ming's at La Cantera... WOW…read more We ordered the smoked pork belly buns, teriyaki crispy chicken, and lemon crispy chicken, and I have to say, we were incredibly impressed. Let's start with the chicken... because THIS is where they got it right. No heavy, overpowering sauces drowning everything. You could actually taste the chicken, the quality, the seasoning, the texture. The crunch? Absolutely on point. The lemon chicken was light, fresh, and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet or artificial like you sometimes get. Same with the teriyaki, flavorful without being too much. And the sides? Don't skip them. The steamed rice was perfectly done, the broccoli tasted fresh (not soggy ), and that coleslaw... HELLO. So good. And those smoked pork belly buns? Soft, flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Overall: Clean flavors, great texture, and everything felt intentional, not overdone. Definitely coming back.
