Pierre makes the BEST waffles I have EVER had and delicious huge crepes too. My son and I visited for our first time and were amazed. Delicious food, great customer service, and low prices. We shall be back!!!!!

Mmmmm crepes! Nutella, banana, whipped cream with a bit of cinnamon and strawberries. Amazing lunchtime treat! Highly recommend!

This place is awesome! The owner is super nice, knows what he is doing and makes amazing crepes for a good price. I got banana and Nutella crepes for $5.

First off, I'm a pretty picky eater. ESPECIALLY when it comes to a quality omelette. Family Cafe…read moretotally blew me away with their omelette (no mushrooms or meat, add potatoes)!! The egg was cooked perfectly and each ingredient complimented the next in a great texture with the egg cooked perfectly. We ate outside with a high chair and it was great. I got the tea while my husband got coffee and we both loved it. The cups are super nice and they're awesome about keeping the tea refilled. With our drinks, we also shared the halawa and it was fantastic. The small sized halawa was perfect for 2 people. The tea and coffee came with sugar as well which was nice, just a great experience. The cost of the meal was also fantastic for what you get. It was totally worth every penny. I recommend you check this spot out, even if you're picky like me!

We came on a Thursday morning right at opening (9am) and were able to snag a table inside for our group. The space is small inside but they do have a few outside tables too which is nice to enjoy in the summer time. Parking is standard street parking right on Broadway. We started out with Turkish coffees and Iraqi Tea. The presentation was beautiful and the complex flavors were so nice to wake our taste buds. We ordered the Beef Mix, Lamb and Eggs, Pastry #2 (hot dog, mushroom, cheese), baclava, and their special halawa to try. They were cooking right by the counter so the whole space filled with delicious aromas while we were waiting for our food. We all had full bellies between 3 adults and 2 kids and took home leftovers! You MUST get the Beef Mix! I don't even know how to describe how delicious this dish is to give it justice but it was definitely the group favorite. It came with salad and yummy boat shaped bread to scoop up all the flavorful goodness. Their house hot sauce took it to the next level. The baklava was the perfect amount of sweetness with the coffee and tea. It was our first time trying a halawa and we all loved the dense texture with a sweet taste. Please do your taste buds a favor and come support this local business!!

If you want to make absolutely sure you're starving before breakfast, this is the place for you…read more We ended up waiting a little over two hours for a table because the quoted wait time kept creeping up in increments, and at some point we were too invested in the process to turn back and try somewhere else. The good news? The setting is beautiful. Since we had so much time on our hands, we got to wander the farm multiple times and really take in the scenery. There's also a coffee shop where you can grab pastries and drinks while you wait, which definitely helped. We all got coffees and did our best to stay patient. By the time we were finally seated, we were beyond hungry. Three of us ordered the same Eggs Benedict, my husband got the two-egg sandwich, and we added a waffle for the table. Unfortunately, the food took its sweet time arriving too. Honestly, I don't think the food was worth a two-hour wait. The potatoes were under-seasoned, the eggs weren't cooked properly, and overall everything just felt a little off. At that point we were all too hungry and slightly too cranky to complain, so we quietly ate and focused on making our exit. The waffles were probably the highlight and seemed to be the one thing everyone enjoyed. As for the rest, the quality didn't match the price tag. It's going to be a very long time before I come back. I could see myself stopping by for a coffee and maybe a pastry, but breakfast? Probably not.

To be honest, when our plans to go bowling and have lunch at Big Al's today fell through because…read morethey didn't open till 3, but we still wanted to eat (and hadn't had breakfast yet at 1:30), I tried every option I could think of to not go to Bannings. When we moved to Oregon, it was under construction but we kept hearing how good it was - in fact, all the local FB pages would gush about it when a newcomer would ask about the best restaurant. And once it finally opened, we tried it, but it was kind of like Marie calendars and Shari's, but local. Ok, but not what we had expected for all the hype. So, after trying a handful of options it seemed Bannings was the only place we could still get breakfast so I begrudgingly agreed. Well, I was mistaken! I got the breakfast enchiladas and a strawberry orange mimosa. Now, the mimosa - I'll get that out of the way first. It was weird - it looked curdled. It just had mashed strawberry at the bottom and it actually was quite good. I'd do a normal mimosa in the future, but good. But the enchiladas - delicious. Like, I'll come back again and again for those. And they didn't charge me extra for the avocado, which I think is righteous because I asked for no hash browns. But not all places would do that, they'd nickel and dime even if you passed on one side for another. Additionally; my husband likes a savory breakfast and a sweet one too - so he often gets two breakfasts and though he may not eat all of both he gets that savory and sweet. Well, the omelettes come with 3 pancakes. Perfection. And, I took 3 bites of them - I usually might try 1 or not at all - they are very very good. Last - it did not break the bank. I've about ruled out breakfast out because of how crazy expensive the places that should be reasonable are. This was reasonable - PLEASE DONT CHANGE!! All in all 5 stars, will be back for breakfast; and hey - when I'm wrong I can admit I was wrong! Give them a try if you haven't!

Service here was really good as the waiter was really attentive and fast. Food also came around pretty quickly as well. Ambiance here isn't too loud, so that was nice. They have some light tunes in the background. One small thing that was fixed was a spoon that was on our place setting that was dirty from the get go. The waiter promptly replaced it for us. Excited to come back for the pumpkin pie next time.
