Oh my gosh, what can I say, they updated my sister's 2014 Ford Expedition with a new head unit with a navigation system that she could connect to her phone for hands-free driving and it looks great! They gave an estimate over the phone and they stuck to it! It! They gave an estimate of how long it would take to install it and they shaved an hour off of the installation time! Man could I write about this business all day! These guys are amazing and very professional! I'm there atleast once a week trying to upgrade my speakers, my amplifier, my stereo. I want it all! They are always so happy to help. I even asked one of the workers to test my subwoofers for clipping. He was able to tell right away that I broke the seal on my box from thumping to hard. I bought a car radio from bestbuy but they wanted $100 to install it in my 2001 Honda so I chose to go else where. I had called this place a head of time and told them my model and make, said they so it for $50 and would only take 30 min. As I sat in their waiting room I could hear them YouTube how to put in my radio from the room! In the end they had to charge me extra because the guy miss took my car for another and ended up paying $87 a long with an hour and half of my life. These guys seem to understand how to do the basics but I could find any marine from motor T and have the same quality done for a six pack of Budd heavy. read more

Great place! I was very hesitant at first to have any work done here in Jacksonville, but Onslow Audio really proved themselves. I got nearly $3000 in custom work done here, and it was easily worth every dollar. Don't let that price tag scare you, though; they offer options for much smaller budgets. Upon review of my itemized quote, all components were priced right around MSRP (most below) and labor charges were very reasonable. In a nutshell, they installed a very high-end speaker/tweeter system, a huge competition series sub in a custom box, two amplifiers and an extra battery to power it all. They also installed a digital signal processor and tuned in perfectly for me. This was all hooked up to my stock head unit for 100% stock integration. Not many shops can take on a project like this at all, but these guys did it in under 10 hours. They were also very helpful and patient in helping me pick out the perfect sub woofer/box combo. I had a very slight issue the next day; I needed a relay because turning on air in the car would shut down the sub woofer. I called the shop and let them know, they said I can stop by whenever is convenient for me. So, I stopped by the shop, and they fixed it for me in under an hour, and I haven't had any problems since. These men are professionals of the highest caliber, and I have no doubt that they will stand behind their work 100% should another issue ever arise. I couldn't recommend them enough. read more

The Worst business deal I have experienced! Integrity is in low supply at Onslow Audio. I went in last Friday and talk with a sales rep about replacing my stereo and speakers he showed me a model and a set of speakers that look good he told me the total cost with install and I agreed to do it. They they were able to get me in right then and said it would be about a two hour wait. I waited in their lobby waiting room for the two hours he came back in to let me know it was complete, we went outside to the car and went over the all the features of the new stereo at this point everything seemed to be good but once the sales rep left the car and I was ready to leave I noticed the steering wheel function to turn the volume up and down didn't work so I went back in and explain this to him and his reply was that's an additional feature and would require another module and would require programming and this would cost more, then he said "I thought I told you that? I explain that was never discussed and why would I want to less functionality than I had before? His reply again was "sorry I thought I mentioned that". I left very disappointed and out of time. I then decided to come back in on Monday to address it again this time I spoke with another manager that said there would be a new install fee, the original sales guy walked up joined the conversation and concurred with what I was saying but the manager insisted that I would still have to pay the install fee. The Discussion got a little heated and escalated to the point they called the owner David to come over. I explain the whole story to the owner David, he seemed hesitant at first but said he could understand the misunderstanding and decided to go ahead and schedule the appointment to install the module with no labor fee as long as I was willing to pay for the part which I agreed to. 20 minutes later I received a phone call from the owner David which he stated they would NOT be able to do the install because he spoke with his employees and they told him that both the sale manager and the installer came into the waiting room on Friday and told me about the additional requirement at which point I told both of them I didn't want it done??? I told the owner David that conversation never took place no one came into the waiting room except to tell me my car was finish, David the owner then accuse me of lying and said that he believed his employees over me and then he tried to tell me that I must have forgot the Conversations where I supposedly told both of his employees no thanks I don't want the steering wheel functions Because of course I wanted to pay all this money to have less functionality. . So after I hung up on David after he accused me of amnesia and or lying, I went to Best Buy to find out they have the exact same stereo, speakers and module for steering wheel, plus they do FREE INSTALLATION with purchases over a hundred dollars !!! So I pretty much paid double the price at Onslow Audio and they didn't even completed the job to give me a fully Functioning stereo system. Oh and by the way Best Buy's stereo and modular were both cheaper, the speakers were about the same price but the biggest thing was the free install at Best Buy. So don't waste your money and time with Onslow Audio. read more

I brought my wife's 2012 Malibu to the shop because the Bose radio was shorting out. Ben diagnosed the problem and sold me a Sony brand radio with a CD player. He had to order a couple of parts so it could be linked to my steering wheel controls. The work was done quickly and efficiently. He informed us of the warranty and paired her cell phone with the blue tooth. The estimated repair cost was reasonable and accurate in the final bill, We'll be back! read more

I bought a rearview mirror with monitor camera combo kit (Rydeen MV311S) from Onslow Audio and they installed it. Completely satisfied with the product. I appreciated their patience in explaining all the features and functions of various brands. Glad I got a system that has night vision, for example. Installation was flawless and I am totally impressed with the buying process and the installation. One benefit I hadn't thought of is the camera puts me spot on to my boat trailer when I am hitching it up. Very nice people to do business with. read more

Little sketched out about having upgrades done to my vehicle in Jacksonville but I'm very glad I went with this store. The guys where very professional and polite and they clearly explained to me what they where going to do to my vehicle. I had no previous experience with upgrading my car audio so I appreciated that they explained everything to me. They installed 6 new speakers, an amp, and a subwoofer, and it sounds fantastic. I had a very minor problem that I found after I left the shop, so I went back a few days later to get it looked at. The gentleman was eager to make it right and fixed it in under 3 minutes. First of all I would like to say that this was an extremely professional and positive experience. I was not sure what to expect in a small area like Jacksonville for an audio stereo installation, however I believe that I chose the right place. This audio installation shop is family owned and is run extremely well and they take pride and ownership and all the work that they do. I brought in the stereo of my choice and made several mistakes in the installation Dash selection which presented challenges to both Ben and Jason who took care of me. We also encountered some technical issues with one of the electrical components from Crutchfield which I believe is a software issue, but they are still troubleshooting and working with me and not charging me for the additional time spent. They worked around my lower quality plastic double DIN dash and made it looked extremely good. They did all of the speaker and sound work on my wife's 2009 Ford Escape and I'm extremely satisfied, exceeding my own expectations of seeing the similar build and another Ford. I'm very happy with the level of professionalism and help these gentlemen provided, I will most likely take in my other Ford an older 2005 Crown Victoria to have the speakers replaced. read more

A week ago I replaced JUST MY DOOR (FACTORY) SPEAKERS with Kickers. The professional staff did a great job. Although down the road I had issues with my fuses blowing in my car. Took it back today (11-22-17) for them to kindly fix the problem. They were not gonna let me leave without it taken care of. Turns out to be a pinched wire. Again......Very professional and apologetic. I even got a refund ($38.95) for the fuses and labor from the garage I had taken my car to. THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS for the great work!!!! Above comment is from an angry wife with jumbled facts. Onslow audio replaced a broken bezel at no charge. (They gave it away for free and it wasn't their problem)The body shop was in the wrong there. As far as the install they admitted to not feeling comfortable with the install when I realized how it was being done. If you plan on using sophisticated equipment that requires flashing firmware, an audio shop is probably not the place for you. I would say they are more equipped for more basic installs. They are not idiots they were just ill equipped for the task at hand. They are honest but if you are very detailed oriented and are looking to keep things looking stock you may have to do some work yourself. read more
