I was referred to Onsite by North County Blinds for cleaning Roman shades in our primary bedroom. We live near the coast, and leave the windows open, so the blinds were very dirty with dust from the train. Originally white shades were gray and streaked. We recently called Onsite Fabricare Cleaning to clean our Hunter Douglas honeycomb blinds drapes. They are one of the few companies that uses the injection/extraction technique that is recommended by Hunter Douglas. However, when Dmitriy carefully examined our blinds, he felt our 20-year HD blinds were too fragile for this and instead recommended careful vacuuming. He adjusted the price down significantly for the simpler vacuuming. He and Stan then did a great job vacuuming our old HD honeycomb blinds which now look many shades lighter. They cleaned our 18 ft. drapes with a dry cleaning like process that made them look like new. Both Dmitry and Stan were very professional but easy to work with. If I could give a 10 star I would! Stan was very responsive to my voicemail and called me to set up an appointment. Within days, his dad Dimitri drove from La Mesa to Oceanside to look at our ceiling to floor custom-made sheers that were made in 1987 to see if it was worth cleaning them. He assured us he could make a huge difference and that they were worth cleaning and we agreed on the price which was very acceptable to us. Since we were renovating, he patiently held them for several weeks until we were ready and he brought them back hung them and then decided the rods had to be moved since the ends were no longer covered by heavy drape which we eliminated. My 5-year old Hunter Douglas Bon Soir Silhouettes were more than ready for their first cleaning! I first called another company that cleans blinds, that was highly recommended by neighbors. They said they could not clean my shades, as they are room darkening shades and the method of cleaning that they use does not work well on these.
