Gosh, what more can I say about Ono poke that has an already been said? Excellent food fresh food and fast service. Now I'm hungry for poke. :)

One of my favorite places to eat in Pizits Food Hall! Ono Poke always serves up fresh veggies and seafood for an inexpensive price. The workers are always super friendly and helpful in making recommendations!

Service was fast and friendly. My crunch bowl minus jalapeños was fresh and delicious. Ate in the dining hall across from the bar on a busy Friday night.

I love love love ono poke. It's one of my favorite go to places. I typically get the smaller size but honestly either one will fill you up. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with them actually and that includes using them for grub hub delivery or pickup. Oh just a few tips: 1. don't go by what google maps says the time that they close it, because it's inaccurate. But google's open and close times are correct so don't be like me and get there at 7:30 on a Sunday looking dumb ‍ 2. THEY DONT ACCEPT APPLE PAY! So make sure you bring a card or cash.

I went here while looking for something healthy (Carb-Free) and quick while on my lunch break. This cute little spot is located in Pizitz Food hall, I've never noticed it until today as it can be easy to miss! The service was fast, clean, and tasty! I had the Crunch Bowl with Shrimp and leafy greens as my base, I've never heard of it before today and it was absolutely amazing! I would recommend to anyone looking for fast healthy food!

There's nothing like a nice fresh poke bowl and this is the place to get them! They have a great menu and a make-your-own option. I love this location especially because it is in the Pizitz which is amazing! So, if your friends aren't into poke they can grab basically any other type of food known to man in there. I got the Lava Bowl and added ahi tuna and seaweed salad instead of cucumbers. I topped it off with a spicy Mayo and sweet teriyaki sauce. It was so yummy!

Literally my favorite food stall in the South Eastern US. What's to love? The ingredients are always super fresh. The staff is remarkably friendly and accommodating. The food tastes amazing and you can never have the same meal twice if you so choose. It gets a little busy around lunch time but don't let that keep you away, the line moves very quick. If you've never had a Poke Bowl before do yourself a favor and snag one. It's healthy and fresh...unlike the brown paper bag burger one might snag instead.

Spicy ahi salad bowl

I am a little biased since i am from Hawaii, but this place was pretty decent. I ordered the spicy ahi bowl/salad with various toppings. Overall, the flavors were there, but the spicy ahi was minced instead of cubed fish, which is what i am accustomed to. Also, for $13, there was so little poke. I do not think i will be returning.

Regular tuna crunch bowl

Pizitz food hall stall. With the tremendous variety of food choices you have to put forward a quality product to draw the crowds Ono Poke does. With fresh ingredients and all the combinations available, you are going to be able to put together your own delicious combination. I enjoyed a regular tuna/crunch bowl. On the other hand, I have definitely had better in other parts of the country.

Yum! I just LOVE poke bowls. Okay, I have only ever had poke bowls at this Ono Poke and their Homewood location. They are just so light and refreshing. You got your grain, your protein, your veggies, your toppings, your sauces....a balanced meal really! I got a salmon and shrimp bowl here most recently. So good. I usually get a big bowl which is actually their smaller bowl. It's 16 oz so pretty filling if you ask me. If you love poke, you can get a kahuna bowl. I got my bowl topped with rice seasoning, cucumbers, edamame, crunch, and tobiko. I always get my sauces on the side so I can pour them in as I go. I can never remember which sauces I like ha! The wasabi aioli is always good though and only one I can pick out of a lineup really. Their staff is always super friendly and never hesitates to help explain what each ingredient tastes like when I ask. I will be back!

Can you say DELICIOUS?? The poke salad bowl was so good!! I ordered it with tuna, crab salad, and spicy alioli. If you're into this type of food, I recommend you give this place a try. They were pretty busy with only 2 people working but the wait wasn't bad at all. Ono Poke' is located in Pizitz Food Hall in the downtown Birmingham area. It's a very small establishment but don't let that deter you. The food is very good.

808 Bowl

I've always wanted to try a Poke bowl never really had the opportunity to try one but I stopped in Pizitz for lunch and saw my chance. I never had one before so asked for some suggestions and decided on the 808 bowl with salmon and i added some avocado to it. It was pretty good and I would recommend trying it out and have something new.

And of course they had me at poke bowls. It's one of my top 5 things to eat, honestly. But I ordered a Buddha bowl because it's almost the same thing and I felt a little lazy to DIY (not to mention, the Buddha bowl looked tantalizing!) They have other veg options, but I set my sights on that bowl as soon as the friendly counter guy suggested it. It's overloaded with goodness--avocado, deliciously marinated tofu, edamame (yes, it's a protein-rich bowl), tomatoes, shredded carrots, diced cucumbers, greens and more. You're literally devouring the rainbow here, friends. For drinks, they have a modest but decent selection of beer, wine (a decent bubbly in a can!) and sake in addition to soft drinks. The place is so beautiful (and spotlessly clean) with plants dangling from the ceiling and beautiful murals throughout. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd be here all the time.

They have multiple seating options; the first floor has booths that can accommodate smaller and large groups. The bar area is very inviting and fun to be able to watch your drinks being made and upstairs offers a more private area. When not seated at the bar they do have someone to come around to make sure you have what you need. The servers are very nice and tend to remember you, which is a great feeling. The menu rotates seasonally, which makes it easier to try new things. My favorite menu item so far has been the cheeseball that was on the menu around Christmas time. It had a great flavor served with crackers the only thing is when we came back after the first of the year it wasn't on the menu anymore. On my most recent visit I had the queso which also had great flavor, served with blue corn tortilla chips. When it comes to the drinks I like how on the menu they let you know how strong it is using toucans. Many of the drinks feature rum, but they do still offer some gin and tequila options. Everything I've had has been good and something I would try again. I would like to note that many of the drinks are fruity and can be somewhat sweet. At Christmas time they even had holiday themed drinkware which I felt was a nice touch. If you are not a drinker, they also have options for mocktails. Which has been great for me the last couple of months. I didn't care for the Phony Negroni, but I think Negroni itself might be an acquired taste

The atmosphere inside was beautiful. Upscale without feeling stiff, softly lit, calming, romantic, and just genuinely cool. The seafood selection was incredible. The oyster offerings alone were endless, and everything tasted exceptionally fresh. We tried multiple varieties with all the accompaniments, and it felt like the kind of experience seafood lovers actually dream about. The snow crab claws were fantastic, the lobster tails were buttery and perfectly cooked with a kiss of fire, and the sushi completely surprised us in the best way possible. Honestly some of the best sushi I've had in a long time, which I wasn't expecting from a seafood-focused restaurant rather than a dedicated Japanese spot. The filet mignon was phenomenal -- cooked perfectly with incredible flavor -- but the real standout for me might have been the layered potatoes. I am not exaggerating when I say I will genuinely think about that dish again. Rich, crispy, creamy, beautifully balanced... absolutely unforgettable. Cocktails were excellent, desserts were fantastic, and the entire menu felt unique and thoughtfully curated instead of generic upscale dining. Most importantly, our server/bartender Robbie made the experience exceptional. Attentive, knowledgeable, personable, and clearly someone who truly understands hospitality. You can tell when someone elevates the entire energy of a restaurant simply by how they treat people, and Robbie absolutely did that. Ocean is lucky to have him. This was one of those meals where every part of the experience came together perfectly, and we left already talking about coming back.

We waited nearly 15 minutes just to receive water, and no bread was ever offered to the table. Multiple menu items were unavailable.. which ok, unfortunately it's something I've experienced here before. But this time the remaining options simply weren't appealing enough to justify settling. What was most disappointing was the menu change itself. Some of Ocean's best signature dishes are gone. No Thai green curry bouillabaisse? That alone was shocking. It honestly makes me wonder whether the new management ever experienced what made the original menu so special. Even the gumbo arrived lukewarm and mediocre. The experience was so underwhelming that we left after the appetizers and ended up finishing the night at Ruth's Chris ... a chain restaurant that, sadly, delivered a far higher standard than what was once one of Birmingham's hidden gems.

But I think it's great that they have a place like this here. So, the menu is limited, but it is great for a novice hot pot customer because they won't be overwhelmed. There is only one type of noodles you can get (glass noodles), and only a few selections of red meat and vegetables. But hey, I won't complain, because you can't get it elsewhere. The meat I received were super fatty. There were some when the fat was around 80% of the meat itself. Veggies were good! They have a bar of sauces and other foods you can get and add to your hot pot. Broth was fine, it wasn't anything particular to rave about. The service was great - people were so friendly and nice. They tended to us pretty well. The ambience was really cool!
