    Island White Fish Mini Meal
    Nobuyuki S.

This is the second time I've tried Ono Hawaiian BBQ. The previous time the people were friendly and ready. I apparently, caught them in the middle of a conversation and they didn't seem to care that much. I ordered the Island White Fish mini meal. The person at the counter called my number after about ten minutes and he didn't wait to hand me the food. Another customer mentioned that he dropped that just when he called the number. He remembered that I mentioned chopsticks and brought some to me at the counter. I'm not sure why he put "to go" on the order but he seemed to do that regardless. The food was as good as the location on the west side. While you don't have to be a rocket scientist, you have to pay attention and someone was paying attention. Four stars for the food, three stars for the service. It's not easy to walk there but there is a sidewalk, if you can find it. There are also EV chargers in the same lot.

Visited this restaurant today for the 1st time. We had tasted their food via a banquet that we had been to a few months ago. We remembered that we like what we had been served so we decided to try it tonight. We were literally right around the corner from it today. Glad we did. We each bought a 2 item plate. Plenty of meat and very fresh. My wife ordered the BBQ Chicken & Chicken Katsu. I had the Teriyaki Chicken and Spicy Chicken (See Picture below). Each was served with Salad and rice. We also ordered their Macaroni Salad which is pretty tasty. We will bd going back again.

On 11/19/2025 I ordered one Hawaiian BBQ chicken and one Teriyaki chicken.I asked Valentina if the chicken was freshly cooked or was it sitting around.she said it was freshly cooked.I ordered to go,when i arrived home i opened the container it was obvious the chicken was sitting around. This is the second time this has happened,I'am very disappointed.I payed$28.32 for dried chicken.I would like to be compensated.

I've had Ono's many many times in the Bay Area (Hayward & Fremont) but I was surprised to see different ratings for the locations in the valley. I got the mixed meat combo with an order of spam masubi. Both were good but I wouldn't say it was amazing. I would for sure order from them again. I can't comment on the location itself as I order delivery; however, I can say ordering was smooth and easy.

BBQ Chicken Mini Meal. $12.22 for 1.5 piece of chicken and 2 scoops of mac. Overpriced IMO, but you be the judge.

Way overpriced. Prices go up, portions go down. Spoke to staff about the scam, got the corporate answer. Your hard-earned monies will go a lot further at L&L, plus their food tastes better. Just my opinion, you be the judge.

Employee at the register is rude. Their food is not prepped well at all. Go to Daniels instead.

Best Ono's in Manteca. Would recommend this location over the one on Daniel's street.

Good vibes. Great portion sizes and fair prices. Service was fine and the food came out fast. Spicy chicken was gas.

Once they finished, I asked for a 2-meat combo. That's when they let me know they were actually closed and didn't have any sides available, but the owner was kind enough to still offer me brisket. I also asked if I could try a rib, and he threw in two small ribs for me to sample. The ribs were delicious--fall-off-the-bone with a light smoky flavor. The brisket was moist, tender, and had a nice smoky taste. The bark had a heavy dose of black pepper, a bit more than I prefer, but my wife loved it when I brought home the leftovers. Overall, a great experience, especially considering they took care of me even though they were closed and busy with catering. I appreciate the hospitality, and I'll definitely be back to try the tri-tip and chicken!

We drove near a small hut with a sign that read BBQ with a small line of people so we figured it must be good. We turned back and found no more customers, but we asked the caller what was popular, she recommended tri tip and brisket. We ordered combination plates with macaroni and cheese as the side. We asked if the plates came with bread. We asked if the Mac and cheese was homemade. DISAPPOINTED. Both meats were heavily salted, and the brisket had tons of fat. The macaroni and cheese was bright orange with tons of garlic and it tastes like I was biting into a brick of sharp cheddar cheese. The bread was a cold King's Hawaiian roll. We also ordered a hot link on the side that was dried up and hard as a rock. The bbq sauce that came with the plates tastes like bottle sauce. Sadly, we did not attempt to eat the food and threw away $45 worth of food. We don't live in the area so we were not sure and expected more from this little spot. I really wish it had exceeded expectations.

The food was really good and definitely lived up to the hype. Unfortunately, the service didn't quite match the quality of the food. The wait times--from being seated to receiving our meals--were unusually long. It seemed like they may have been short-staffed, which is understandable, but it did impact the overall experience. That said, we're still willing to give it another try in the future to see if the experience improves, because the food alone makes it worth another visit.

I ordered a plate of crispy hashbrowns topped with tender pulled pork, smothered in rich, creamy gravy, and sprinkled with fresh jalapeños for a perfect kick. It was comforting without being heavy, like a warm hug you didn't know you needed. But the best part? They had fun flavored mimosas that made brunch feel like a celebration. We tried a few different flavors, and each one was bright, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the savory food. (Rachel Green would approve.) The staff was friendly, kept the coffee refills coming, and made us feel welcome without hovering. The prices were fair, and the portions were generous enough to leave you full but not overly stuffed. If you're looking for a cozy spot with great food, good vibes, and a reason to say "How you doin'?" to your mimosa, this is it. Can't wait to come back and bring friends for a brunch round two.
