Unfortunately they took my one piece aluminum driveshaft from my Ram and they gave me a cheap metal one that makes a lot of brivation , I am very unhappy with their service , the driveshaft that we had it was a $2,000 dollars shaft,they did not said anything until we went under the truck and found out that he did the wrong to my truck , also I'd paid for rebuilding a transmission and instead he bought a used one from who knows where and that is what we have now , we always stamp our transmissions ,motors and shafts because most mechanics the are not honest at all. read more

Just got my '62 Bird back from Only Transmissions #2 in Hawthorne, Ca. Reverse band broke, but all else worked fine. Now, I have reverse. Seems to be a little slippage with the torque converter (which was replaced, along with an overhaul kit for the whole thing) starting from a stop. But I'll drive it around a bit next week to verify. 12 month warranty (which means what nowadays) but George seems reasonable, knowledgable, and highly recommended by my regular mechanic. I *could* do without the moronic subtextual admonishments from Yelp: "You're rolling now - got any more to add?" What am I, five years old? read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! They did a horrible job on my transmission. I took my car in because it was jerky and paid $3500. They did not fix the issue. The claim it's normal for my car and just rubbed it off. Im not sure why but they stole my car registration and other belongings. They also took my parking permit that I need for my job. The interior of my car was covered in grease and smells like oil to this day. My paint had oil and hand prints all over the car that were very hard to remove. At least clean the car before returning it to the customer. They are unprofessional and do not have a clue to what they are doing. They are not transmission experts, more like scammer experts. The shop is very disorganized and cluttered. I'm not sure how they work in an environment like that. I essentially donated $3500 and received my car back in worse condition with greasy leather seats and missing belongings with a transmission that still jerks. Very disappointed read more

My Transmission and differential was leaking oil like crazy on my 70 Chevelle. Found the problem and fixed it in less than 6 hours.

First the 'Good'... I took my 2005 Expedition there in 2014 for a rebuild. They charged me a little over $1600, and did a great job. It's still running strong to this day, which is why I went back. Now the 'Bad'... A family member of my wife took her explorer there for a rebuild, and also needed to have her rear main seal changed behind the flywheel, because it was leaking. They rebuilt and installed the transmission, and never changed the rear main seal so she had to pay someone else to take the transmission back out to change a $12 seal that they blew off. Now the EXTREEMLY BAD.. I took my daughter's 2007 mini cooper there for a rebuild. They had to charge us $3800+ because you have to dismantle the entire nose to get the trans out. (understandable-so). They took a month, and a half, and when we picked up the car, the trans started leaking fluid 2 days later. Had to argue with George a little to fix it, but he took it in, and kept the car about 5 weeks. picked the car up. Next day... trans is leaking again. Took car back. Kept car 2 months. Had to contact Department Of Consumer Affairs/BAR (bureau of automotive repairs) to get him to finish the car. Eventually picked the car up, and 3 days later...trans is leaking again. Pulled the transmission out of the car at home. Changed the torque converter. Reinstalled it. Trans is still leaking. Now I have to take it out AGAIN and have a transmission specialist like AAMCO dismantle it, and re-seal the entire thing. In Closing....Stay the HELL away from Mini Coopers, and stay the HELL away from this shop. You may get lucky, and your dice roll may land on a #7... but if it doesn't, they're gonna F**K YOU GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I took my 2011 Dodge Charger because it was making a weird sound, at first I thought it was just because I haven't had an oil change in a while and iv looked past it & I know I should know better but I took it to the dealership and everything seemed fine , had an oil change and a recalled alternator but later on that day they let me know I needed a new transmission and it was going to be $4500 my car still ran fine but now it was stopping every time I braked for more then 2min so I took it to Jorge and he said the same thing and it was inevitable that I needed a new transmission. Only Transmissions is the Only Transmission shop I will go. Over the years I have taken my Suburban, Yukon XL and Jeep there. The first were for transmission replacement and the Jeep was for a seal, clutch and throughout bearing. I found all estimates to be fair and work timely. During my last last experience which was a broken reverse sensor wire, Jorge was very honest with me and shared he was overloaded with work and knowing that my situation was not of urgency asked if it would be possible to bring it in early the next week. I brought it in following Monday morning and got a call before noon that it was repaired and ready to go. My kind of shop! I've used this shop myself twice, my brother used them once and my pops has used them wayyy back... the last time I paid to "rebuild" my trans they cracked my kick down cable and gave it back to me leaking... charged to me replace it... then a little spring under the pan snapped (because they didn't replace it) guess what.. they charged me again... it should have been under warranty... apparently not.. I won't go back. Use them as last resort. 1972 Chevy. Pretty basic right?? Nope.. this trans doesn't even have 100 miles since the rebuild... oh and not to mention the plastic zip ties they used my trans lines... not going to last guys! Thanks!! read more

My regular mechanic referred me to this shop. And I trust him. I was happy. We only just picked it up tonight, so I will report back if anything goes wrong. But for now I have to say I am very satisfied. The transmission was fixed for much less than we thought it would be, and, while they were making the repair, they found the fly wheel was damaged. I knew it was, because it would make that horrible sound, but everytime we took it in, it would start just fine. Anyway, after removing the transmission, they found the damage and replaced the fly wheel for only the cost of the part - "since they were there anyway". I have to say, that is impressive. It is the way things should be done, but usually aren't. The only negative I have is that the mechanics left greasy hand prints on the vehicle. But you know what? For the money we saved, we can afford to get it washed - repeatedly! :-) read more

What can I say. If you own a piece S@#t car and you really dont give a F$@# about the car, take it to this place and let George mess it up for you some more. I took my car there and had nothing but problems from the day I picked it up and each and everytime i took it back for him to try and fix it. I am not a transmission specialist, George is (I thought). Only reason my car ended up at this place, was because my dads friend told him that this guy was good. Come to find out, he meant on automatic transmissions. Wow, wish I would have know that before that Punk A@! got my car into that shop. I brought my car back to this dude time and time again telling him, something was not right. The time added up that my car was at his shop, totals over 2 months. Example of some of the bad S%$# he did to my car.. # 1. The first day I get my car I take it for a test run around the corner from his shop and I know its not right. I bring it right back and I tell him. He says he will make some adjustments and for me to come back the next day. I drove past his shop several times from the time I dropped it off till I went back the next morning and the car had not been moved. He told me that he worked on it. I told him that I saw my car in the same spot all night and I know he did not move it. So I ended up leaving my car there another day. I get my car back and take it for another test drive and the same thing is going on. I tell him its not right. I ended leaving my car with him for another week. This goes on for to long. # 2. I came out of the house one day and looked at the back of my car and noticed something was out of place. I could not catch it until I was right up on it. My exhaust was hanging sideways. I jump in the car and take it up to the Exhaust shop that I always deal with and have him put it on the lift for me, so I can see what I broke. Come to find out it was not something that I broke, That Mutha F%#$@# George did not put the bolts back onto the exhaust part, that held it in place and the vibrations pushed my exhaust back and broke the hangers. I told my dad to go the bank so he could get some cash to bail me out of jail in a few hours, cause I was on my way to see George and do some physical damage. Pops talked me out of it and said he would take care of the car, since he had me take it there and we would just chalk it down as a learning experience of how to chose mechanics to work on sports cars.... I want to keep going, but I can feel myself getting upset and wanting to go find george. I will NEVER recomend George to a friend or a crooket cop. STAY AWAY ! STAY FAR FAR AWAY! Worst mechanic ever. Took my Ford Escape in January of this year and still till this day is not working properly. Jorge gave me a 1 yr warranty. Several months later broke down again. Said it was fixed but that was false. Took it again and charged me! Several months later it broke down again!!! And charged me again!!!! My mother in law referred me to him because shes gone to him on the past to get her transmission replaced and shes very picky and was satisfied with his work. This is the worst place ever to go to for transmissions. I have a 2004 Chysler Pacifica my transmission locked up on the freeway. I took it to this place the owner George said he could fix it with no problem. He gave me an estimated price before i dropped off the car of course a day after he had the car he said that he need to charge me more because i didnt tell him that i had an AWD. (whatever). he had my car for about 1 week i picked up my car on a friday. By Monday my car was leaking transmission fluid and smoking heavily. I thought may be he spelled some oil on my engine and it was burning off. The car the transmision would sometimes have no power or take a second to catch. So i took it back to him he said there is nothing wrong with it. I picked it up Tuesday morning. By Thrusday by driveway was flooded with trnasmission fluid. I took it back to him again. he said that it was not my transmission but it was my power steering hose. So he said he fixed it. Two days later its smoking again. I took it back to him he said its a box attached to my motor that had transmission fluid on it and it was not my transmission. he said that im doing something wrong to the car. I took the car back home again (luckly i lived around the corner). He stated he would check it and to leave it with him that evening i called to see what was up with my car. he said that my car was not his priority and he has has other cars here to finished. That pissed me off. I gave him 2 more days, he didnt even call me i had to call him. He told me that my transmission case was cracked. I took him another week to fix it. I got the car back and drove it for a month and the car would sometime will not have any power but other that that it drove ok. Other things started happening to it. Ive never had problems with my car until George worked on it. One month to the day my transmission locked up on me again. I took it back to him because i was furious. I WENT OFF! I had one year warrenty on it and he said he dont know what wrong with it again. NEVER!!!! I REPEAT NEVER!!!! Take your car to this transmission shop expecially if you have a Pacifica because he dont know what he is doing. Now I have to look for another shop to get my transmission fixed.
