I don't know how the system works as some of the stock they have was in Argos six or seven years ago (where has it been in the meantime?) but it's well worth a look. The items are good quality and have been well stored, but the shop can be very difficult to get around. There is just a massive amount of stock there, and it is often not clearly marked (plain brown boxes etc). So you may have to do some digging around, and keep your eyes peeled. You could miss some great stuff! I think the place could do with its own catalogue, but that's probably not viable considering they likely get daily deliveries of random old Argos stock. So heartily recommended, but you have to go in with either a great amount of luck or a lot of time to really get the most out of it.

Parking outside costs £1.60 for two hours and cheaper for 30 minutes.

They have a wide selection of the "SP" range too, which stands for Special Purchase. This is only available in Outlet stores. The range here has been much more impressive than any other Next outlet I've been to. They have great bargains on children's clothing, which are usually very pricey. And even the men's shirts start from under a tenner. Towards the back of the store they have a "Home" section, which is usually very cluttered and messy. Even if there is something worth browsing, you're put off by the mess. But if you love quality and bargains in clothing - this is the place to shop!

She simply wanted to exchange it for a smaller size, not a refund, but was humiliated infront of many customers by a large blonde woman who said that the jumper smelt and that she had worn it and torn all the labels out and threw it on the counter and refused to exchange it. I was not here at the time but telephoned the owner Mr Jagota later who was not interested and said "I'm busy-goodbye". I have bought stuff here before and the staff seem pleasant enough, but obviously not today. A very rude and arrogant woman and maybe a proprietor who is not intelligent enough to try and resolve the problem? Friendly when you give them money but very rude when money is not being passed to them.

You can find several trendy pieces in here which is great for an independent outlet with a mixed price range. Friends or relatives can lounge in the large comfy sofa's whilst they wait., or just admire the store & furniture. I'd recommend The Candy Store to anyone visiting Birmingham. Though it can sometimes be hard to tell the staff apart from the people hanging in the store, everyone has been friendly and happy to help whenever I have been in. I have been here a couple of times and it is a decent shopping centre. West Bromwich is being improved further and New Square is under construction which should be completed in 2013. It will feature a Primark, JD Sports, Bank and even an eight screen cinema. So this shopping centre will have its competition in trying to attract shoppers. If you do decide to come here, you will need to pay for parking. That's of course if you drive. I have always enjoyed my shopping experience here although there have been times where I have been forced to come here with my parents. I do intend to come back here and there are so many bargains you can pick up from the many shops here at Astle Park.

The important thing to note about these big brand stores is that they are all cheap outlet stores so everything is for less and they all have super clearance sections for the already reduced goods but at even crazier cheaper prices. Problem is you may not always find the right size or a jacket and trousers that match. It is however all worth it for the occasions when you can get a good M&S suite for £29 or expensive dri-fit Nike bottoms for £10. You have to be prepared to rummage and mooch, especially in Next for less. The Gap outlet isn't that cheap until they have clearances but it's always worth a check in if you are over there anyway. The car park is super cheap and alternatively if you are a public transporter coming from Brum then hop on the tram and get off at Lodge Road, from there it is just a straight walk down from the tram stop.

My tip, try the bags of 'Paneer' in the fridge section, on your right when you walk in (past the big bags of onions....) at £3.99. Fry into a tomato curry, just delightful and beats takeaway food. I find I always fill my trolley shopping in here. The prices ARE THE BEST THAT YOU CAN GET! They close early on Wednesdays and only the far till on your right accepts debit cards. They even have free asian newspapers for you to take away, if you can read them. But the prices at S&D Supermarket are excellent and they won't be beaten anywhere else. From tea to Indian snacks and savouries to cereals, these are some of the things you can buy from this supermarket. This is an excellent store for the locals and those living in Birmingham. To top it all off, the staff are top class here and they will help you out. If you do need guidance on any of the products at this supermarket, they will be there. There is car parking on-site and parking will be free for an hour. After that you will be charged £1 for every hour.

However, this ultra-cheap, handy little shop still offers a pleasant and friendly shopping experience and cannot be knocked for its superb selection of low-priced products.
