But it got good spaces and will be able serve 20+ tables. I visited around 6:40 pm-ish, and it was pretty empty but the server asked me if I had reservation. I got lucky they still seated me, because around 7pm I realized that people are flooding in. The ramen here is serious ramen. The chef seems to attend several classes or continue educated himself by participating the programs from Japanese ramen association. There were several certificates hanging just next to the entrance. I got the Shoyo Ramen. and I am as so satisfied with the quality. The meat, the eggs the noodles, the toppings are all well presented and cooked! And yet the price is really reasonable, compare to the most mediocre ramen places in America with same price and the same quality ramen place in Taiwan. They do serve cocktails, alcohol, and dessert, but one bowl of ramen was already talking all the space in my stomach... I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!

The place I had gone to two hours prior had left a bad taste in my mouth - literally. After rolling around restlessly in my hotel room, I gathered the strength to leave and walk around the corner and up the block to Tasca Kome. The waiter notified me that the kitchen will be closing soon and suggested that I order all at once. I did. Spinach with sesame seeds. Cucumber roll. Sushi Kome. The sushi Kome came with soy sauce in whipped form. Whaaaaat! It was a nice light touch to the nigiri. Thank you Tasco Kome, for restoring my faith in humanity.

Because the seafood in Lisbon is so fresh and glorious, the sushi is pretty sublime. The restaurant is cozy and comforting. The staff were accommodating and sweet. I started with the ginger cocktail, which was made with homemade ginger ale; it was delicious. The complimentary tamago amuse bouche was good. The four of us shared several dishes. We had the donkatsu, kakuni, chirashi bowl, sashimi platter, and takoyaki. Everything was delicious. The sashimi platter was beautiful. The portions were decently sized and everything was reasonably priced.

The majority of the menu is on chalkboards inside whilst they are still printing menus for the table. We had spring rolls, pork gyoza (superb!), edamame (heavily doused in thick crystals of salt), harumaki and shrimp yakisokba. We also had miso soup, which I want to point out is the best miso I've ever had in my life. If we lived there, I would just go get a bowl of soup daily in the winter. Estrella (Spanish beer) on draught was a welcome respite from Sagres or Super Bock. The service was excellent. Our waiter, who was new, was fantastic - very personable. I apologize, but I forgot his name, as I meant to give him a shout out for our visit on 11 September in the evening. A young Japanese lady from the kitchen came out to check that we were getting quality suggestions from the kitchen after something was done for the evening. All this for 33.50 Euros. Highly recommended.

Timeout in general though is a must see in general for any Lisbon bucket list, so stop by and decide whether or not you want sushi! It has really good sushi, and there's a lot of variety on the menu. I figured that if you're in Portugal, you need to get seafood in any variety, including sushi. The sushi was very good and very fresh. For the price it was also reasonable because it's cheap cheaper than what you could get in the US. My only complaint is I wish the menu was easier to understand. I am not a sushi expert, so there were different names of rolls that I didn't understand like Fotu Maki. It was fine though, because the waiter explained to me what each term meant and what was on the menu, but it would've been helpful to have that listed. You can sit anywhere inside the timeout market. And there's around 500 where the seating inside the market. If you leave your tray on the table too, it gets taken by a worker.

Ambiance- good crowd at 9 pm. Place esthetically appealing. 5 stars Service - staff was polite and friendly and efficient. 5 stars. Edamame- small portion. Good taste. Satisfying. 4 stars We both got the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen. Broth was average. Didn't strike me as that flavorful and for me, I probably would have had to add some chili oil to give it a kick. The ajimago egg was cooler in temp to the broth but was nice with soft yolk. The noodles likely were not made there but sufficient. Overall- 4 stars Dessert- wife got the green tea ice cream that was on a bed of on oat and cookie crumble. Wife enjoyed it. 5 stars I got the Dango Matarashi with red bean. It's basically a rice ball, put some red bean paste and strawberry slices on top. Definitely a similar taste to Chinese rice balls to taste. Seemed very small portion and not that impressed but was presented nicely. 3 stars Overall, ramen can't compete to other places I've tried in my life but it was good enough for us. Would I go back here if ever returning to Lisbon? For sure. ** if you decide to go to Koppu based on my review, send a compliment - much love from California, USA **
