I was very very surprised to find beef noodle soup in Lisbon, and it is very very legit! For those on the journey and want a taste of home, this restaurant is a must.

Put your name down inside, wait by walking around, and then come back because it was about 2hrs when we put our name down and then got seated! We came during prime time so that was probably not the best idea. This is not Chinese or Japanese style noodle but it's still really good. I would describe this as Chinese and Japanese fusion that's done really well. I've eaten noodle soup in Japan, China, NYC, LAX, SF, basically everywhere with famous noodle shops and this is honestly really good (and much cheaper than in the states. The food comes out pretty hot! I got the large Ramen and it was not very big, I ate it pretty fast. So the process is: put your name down, and then when you get called, you pay for your order already before you sit down. I would recommend looking at the menu before you get to the front because you probably are already waiting while you are there. The inside is very tiny and probably only seats about 25-30 people. They do have a restroom inside and kind of cute decor with dim sum steamers. Pro tip: you should ask for your hot sauce on the side! Lots of people who are not used to eating spicy Chinese food will find the hot oil to be spicy. I saw a lot of tables of local people sweating and coughing since they didn't taste chili oil before. I honestly loved their spice and it tasted really good. They did a pretty good job with it.

Good broth, but not too special to visit specially if you are from Taiwan/Japan/China. Good to visit if you miss asian noodles during your trip.

It wasn't the best ramen ever but a bit of a higher end than the tourist ramen joints in Lisbon,…read more visited by many locals yet some tourists. Tables turn pretty quickly later so we got a two top pretty fast without a reservation. We started Baos (yes chinese dish....) and they were pretty good. She ordered the miso ramen and liked it. I ordered the pork belly ramen that I enjoyed. They don't have Togarashi pepper but if you ask and show them a pic of it they bring you little cup of it though a variety without sesame seeds. Pretty good choice at a little higher price point. I've had better but would maybe go back. Very convenient to the area near the waterfront tourist locations yet nestled at the bottom of the hills.

Was walking around Lisbon at night and noticed this Japanese ramen place…read more We've had enough Portuguese and European food and thought it would be interesting to try their ramen here in Lisbon. Ambiance- good crowd at 9 pm. Place esthetically appealing. 5 stars Service - staff was polite and friendly and efficient. 5 stars. Edamame- small portion. Good taste. Satisfying. 4 stars We both got the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen. Broth was average. Didn't strike me as that flavorful and for me, I probably would have had to add some chili oil to give it a kick. The ajimago egg was cooler in temp to the broth but was nice with soft yolk. The noodles likely were not made there but sufficient. Overall- 4 stars Dessert- wife got the green tea ice cream that was on a bed of on oat and cookie crumble. Wife enjoyed it. 5 stars I got the Dango Matarashi with red bean. It's basically a rice ball, put some red bean paste and strawberry slices on top. Definitely a similar taste to Chinese rice balls to taste. Seemed very small portion and not that impressed but was presented nicely. 3 stars Overall, ramen can't compete to other places I've tried in my life but it was good enough for us. Would I go back here if ever returning to Lisbon? For sure. ** if you decide to go to Koppu based on my review, send a compliment - much love from California, USA **

I am running out of words to describe the ramen I tried here…read more Just go and visit!!!! You will be glad you do! This place is hidden in the ally, with tiny entrance. But it got good spaces and will be able serve 20+ tables. I visited around 6:40 pm-ish, and it was pretty empty but the server asked me if I had reservation. I got lucky they still seated me, because around 7pm I realized that people are flooding in. The ramen here is serious ramen. The chef seems to attend several classes or continue educated himself by participating the programs from Japanese ramen association. There were several certificates hanging just next to the entrance. I got the Shoyo Ramen. and I am as so satisfied with the quality. The meat, the eggs the noodles, the toppings are all well presented and cooked! And yet the price is really reasonable, compare to the most mediocre ramen places in America with same price and the same quality ramen place in Taiwan. They do serve cocktails, alcohol, and dessert, but one bowl of ramen was already talking all the space in my stomach... I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Great choice after eating too much Portuguese food. It was a rather chilly day so Ramen is perfect…read more Compared to other establishments where they don't have option for tip, this one has it in their credit card portal. Very nice decor and very cozy
