During my visit, I felt very impressed by how organized the store's racks were, especially compared to competing retailers. I shopped mostly in the women's section, and the articles of clothing were well organized by type, size, and color. Throughout the store, I saw many major brands, including Adidas, HOKA, Under Armour, and others. The prices were low to moderate, and I found some things that I liked. For example, I saw price tags of $25 for a women's sundress and $85-140 for a pair of women's HOKA sneakers. I deducted one star from my review because I cannot find everything that I want here, and because employees need to greet more often.

Then head around back of the Monroeville Mall and check out this clearance store for the Dick's brand. There were lots of great deals on stuff and I'd imagine it's hit or miss depending on when you go. They have shoes, shirts, shorts, hoodies, exercise pants, etc with racks and racks and racks to search through. You could easily spend an hour or more here. The shoes were in a weird order though (at least in my size) The fan shop was hit or miss depending on your size. And of course, nothing in my size that I wanted... I thought about a $3 Russell Wilson shirt to honor his 6 wins for the Steelers, but that seemed excessive. I also saw these cool Pens Socks that were normally $14.99 but were on sale for $16.99... wait... whaaaaah? It's probably worth a stop here and there to see what you can find for cheap! If you're looking for legit Dick's stuff, then the real store isn't far away.

So charming, well run and clean. 9 dollar per person entrance fee regardless if you skate . Snack bar has a variety of offerings ( think pizza, hotdogs, soft pretzel, slushies, candy etc ) at very reasonable prices. Skate rentals are great- chose between rollerblades and rollar skates. Skates are modern and the rental for only 3$ extra over the price of admission is a deal. In addition to the throw back aesthetics, what distinguishes this place from everywhere else right now is the level of warm service we encountered. The staff was awesome- so kind, attentive and professional. The owner approached my daughter and unsolicited gave her great skating pointers to make her first experience on rollerblades a huge success. Wish we had this kind of place in my hometown. I understand "policies" but maybe there could be further consideration for the parents that are required to be there. Skate Castle doesn't charge adult spectators. - Skate floor can get a bit overcrowded - Adults of children/adults skating with their younger children skating around extremely fast at times and others getting run into/knocked down - Concessions are a bit on the higher side ($3.50 for a small slushie) My kids ended up having a blast which offset the higher prices of all the things, but I'm not so sure that we'll be going back here too often.

I honestly didn't know Sketchers made such a variety of shoes and sneakers. Second, I was impressed with their size selection. I wear an 11 or 12 in women's and most of their styles had 11s and some even had 12s which is sadly rare to find in stock at stores. All of the shoes are on display and the boxes (generally arranged by size) and the boxes are clearly labeled. There are benches throughout the store to help you try on shoes and they have the slip on disposable socks in case you don't have any socks on. Staff is friendly and helpful and the store is well kept. The prices are great and they often have sales and specials. They are currently running a sale of buy one, get one half off! If you are looking for great shoes at decent prices, check them out!

The store is clean and setup well with plenty of signage and shelves with every shoe box straightened up. From sneakers, workout shoes, work shoes, hiking boots, sandals, and dress shoes... I didn't realize that Skechers was competitive in every range of shoe, but they must be moving up from the standard dad shoe of the past! The employees were welcoming and ready to help if needed while keeping the store prepared for the next guest too! On their website the group talks about being particularly focused on helping Pittsburgh climbers, hikers, bikers, runners, campers, paddlers, and "outdoor adventure lovers." Obviously that last bit is pretty general, but I find the statement helpful overall since it does a great job of summarizing what kinds of gear you'll find at their shop. No matter your experience level, you're welcome here, as the staff want to help people of all experience levels explore and access different outdoor activities. In other words: this is the perfect place to browse and ask questions that can help you best prepare for your next/new adventure. In addition to operating a storefront, the 3 Rivers staff also regularly coordinate outdoor events and activities that people can sign up for. Naturally some activities are more seasonal than others (looking at you, kayaking!). Others happen year-round, including monthly night hikes in Frick Park. It's a shame this shop is currently so far out of my way, because if I was closer I'd probably stop in more often, even if only to take advantage of their community fireside hours. Still, it's great that they're here in the city at all - and it just makes my rare visits that much more delightful and special!
