To avoid 30 days of Interest. Well they refuse to take my payment saying that some Law. Requires you wait 72 hours before you make the first payment. That's bullshit I looked up the case laws on this type of loan and there is no such law. They are just trying to get 5 days of Interest out of me. As they are closed on Monday for a holiday so will be five days before I can make my first payment. So be aware that these people are not your friend they are there to take you for as much money as you can. If you have to take a loan like this please pay it off early. Try to figure out a way. To make payments ahead of time. Ask for example in my loan the payments are 417 a month. Yet only $22 goes to principal. Therefore 380 something goes for interest. So pay it ahead of time and you won't have to pay that interest. We got this loan because I'm going trying to pay off my pre-funeral needs. I have no family and I don't want to be buried in some unmarked Mass grave in my local town. I want to be buried at Sea and it cost more. Two weeks later they put my car on as collateral and now tje medical loan it's being called a car loan. Now since they have collateral, not a single company will help me get a refinance. I called today to ask if I pay it in full will it just be the actual loan or will they still try to take on interest? They replied that the loan is now at over $4,000, almost $5000, which is far more than the amount that I borrowed. He asked if I'd be coming in today. I told him it would be several days. He told me he needs to know because it goes up by $39 per day. He basically told me that if I pay tomorrow I will be paying MORE than what I owe today. If I hadn't said it might take days, I would never have known they cost me around $30 per day in interest. No wonder I cannot get ahead. Never ever get a loan from Landmark. I'm almost better off declaring bankruptcy since I'd like to own a home someday. I borrowed around $2,500 for a medical expense. I pay $227 a month and I now over $4,000 almost 3 years later.
