This facility opens at 9 on Tuesdays. While waiting I drank water. DRINK WATER! It will make your body more hydrated and take less time to donate! The woman was very helpful. She took her time and very nice! We talked about previous high school instructors at VBHS for the HOSA program and how wonderful they were! She explained everything perfectly as she did it, and waited with me as I was donating (since it was my first time) . I got 2 pair of special socks, a snack, will learn my blood type, will learn if I have the COVID antibodies and helped someone today! DONATE!!

There is one technician in the back who is rude, mostly to the newer staff members, however, everyone else is always pleasant and accommodating. Additionally, being a woman who was RH negative during pregnancy donating plasma is especially dear to my heart. My newborns all had to the shots that are only one of the many life-saving medications that are made through the donation of plasma. Furthermore, you get actually cash incentives. It's a win-win. Money and donating to a great cause!

This is now called KED Plasma of Cocoa Beach even though it is located in the nearby town of Cocoa,…read moreFlorida NOT Cocoa Beach. 3 names were called for donation, the order being myself, a woman in medical scrubs, and another man from the area who was known to the female employee (name begins with 'J') as she was familiar with him, called him by name. So the man called last who was known to 'J' was set up FIRST, and 15 minutes later I mentioned this to the female employee as myself and the woman in scrubs STILL waited to be set up for donation. 'J' became irate, mumbling to herself, stomping around with exaggerated gestures, even tearing open her disposable gown in an aggressive manner while standing uncomfortably close to my donation table. I ignored her. Every time I went back to KEDs 'J' glared and/or gave me hostile looks. I stopped going to KEDS Cocoa when at the end of my next to last donation 'J' twisted the needle during the extraction and caused a lasting pain in my arm for the first time in over 40 years of donating plasma. The unethical, unprofessional, and petty manner of their employee is why I no longer donate plasma at KEDS Plasma, formerly IMMUNOTEK. (In the photo the larger dark spot in the middle of my inner elbow is where the needle was twisted during the painful extraction, still visible months later). *Today, 4/25/2024, I received a reply from KEDPLASMA Cocoa requesting that I contact them about this issue at http://kedrion.us/kedrion-in-the-world/ and it appears that the email address is invalid with my response being rejected from the server. Also messages sent directly on the KEDPLASMA Cocoa website are rejected, generating the message "Error, please try again later." So much for "investigating these concerns immediately"!

The building is modern and clean and very well maintained. The parking is nice and spacious. They observe veterans and welcome them . They have lovely videos and let you know the types of behaviors they expect from their customers . I will definitely return to donate . ~ closed on Sundays and they take appointments. Good to know .

For someone that is a regular donor, I saw the Long-Sleeve "Fishing" shirt for only July but I wasn't eligible and I really wanted that shirt. Why? Why? I was truly sad when I didn't see the shirt offered again in August. I did receive the great Beach Tote! Love it :)
