This little hidden restaurant inside a liquor store is definitely a sleeper. They offer a wide range of foods but we specifically came for their steak plates. It was served with toss salad, rice and steak which brings back memories. I decided to get the steak and shrimp mixed plate ($13.99). For the salad, i went with ranch dressing. It seems like the steak is cooked a certain way as I was not given the option on how i wanted it cooked. It wasn't that big of a deal for me as long as it isn't well done. Once my plate came out which was pretty fast; about a 5 minute wait time, i went over to put their special sauce. It was a sweet korean sauce which was super tasty! One thing that was disappointing was the size and amount of shrimp on the plate. 4 pieces of shrimp and they were fairly small. The steak looked medium rare-well which was perfect. As far as taste, it was pretty good and i can see why there was a lot of people coming in to order them. read more

Best plate lunch ever. Got there about 1030/1045 and they had just opened. I ordered the chicken and Kalbi plate (comes with rice and salad). 1000/10 recommend. I found this place via an instagram post and I'm so happy I went there. If you're in Kailua you need to check this out. It's an unassuming little market with great food and great prices. Everything tasted good, but as a cook I just don't think it's worth the money. It's easy to make white rice and marinate and grill some meat. If you don't cook then yeah it's good. A neighbor told us about this place when we first moved here. It has now become our go to for steak plates. The owner is always very nice and has now remembered our orders. This little cornerstore has been a Kailua staple as long as i can remember. It doesn't offer the variety of your big box stores, and honestly, not nearly the alcohol selection of the nearby pali bottles, but its got just enough of what you need for a late night beer/snack/beverage run. 5 stars only because that is as high as you can go. This is by far the best bang for your buck when it comes to plate lunches. The steak plate is my personal fave - served with a huge portion if tender steak sliced perfectly 2 scoops rice and a small salad. Love it! Kinda shady at first because it is literally in a corner market that sells alcohol but it is the best food around! Don't leave Oahu without trying it!!!
