O.G. spot... got breakfast with the fam. gotta find parking in the back by the store if can. enter the store and order. greeted by the sweet girl behind the counter. we made our orders and went outside sat on da benches and enjoyed the view. I had corned beef moco... was a large portion and ono. good fun spot and we enjoyed... saw some ppl we knew in the bench area and talked story. need more local spots like this.

Yummer chili moco for breakfast!

I just loooove hanging out here! When I was a kid in SoCal, my parents used to take us to San Pedro fish market where we'd pack some rice, claim a picnic table, lay out some newspaper for a tablecloth, order up a shrimp tray & some fried fish (pride peeesh), and listen to the mariachi band. He'eia Pier reminds me those days, except it's waaaaay nicer scenery and plate lunch served up with aloha all day. Their loco moco gravy is GOLD. Beef stew ALWAYS sells out...I have yet to try it. Burger patties are handformed. They have music events! Last December, Kealoha Music performed a Christmas set...couldn't think of a better way to spend a December (or any month) evening...by the water, listening to great music, eating comfort food.

They aren't open everyday and you should follow their Instagram to see the menu for the day. They finish serving lunch at 12:30. I ordered the ahi sandwich combo. It was $2 more for fries and no tax! The seared ahi burger was deliciously seasoned and so were their fries! I ate every single fry. It was crunchy, salty, and paired perfect with the ahi burger. I definitely would come back for another ahi burger!!!

Missed the fresh catches of the day lunch unfortunately but still stopped in for pineapple dole whip and it hit he spot. So I happy for that

Can't beat , being out here!

A place to hang out & enjoy the nice ocean breeze & check out the fishermen fishing on the pier. The general store has great customer service by the gal behind the register. Beer cold in the cooler. They serve plate lunches & their soft serve cones are great on a warm day. They have other goods they sell, original Heeia Pier T shirts & trinkets! Restrooms outside & steps away, a place to relax & get away from your everyday thoughts!

Stumbled up this little store and was surprised that they sell lunches too! I got the soft serve pineapple flavor $6. They also had watermelon or vanilla flavors. Definitely will come try their lunch plate next time!

Big appetites are satisfied here!!! You go into the store thinking of picking up something small like an ice cream or a musubi but once you see their menu, you wont be wanting just a snack. they got some of the most delicious and comforting plate lunches you'll ever eat!!! I got the roast pork plate lunch that comes smothered in gravy on a bed of cabbage. Most plates come with your standard scoop of rice and mac salad. Also save some space for a cup of dole whip (they got different flavors!!!) or the crispy hurricane fries!

We went cycling up the Windward coast with our good friends and He'eia Pier General Store called out to us, so of course we made a stop there. Great food, great service, great location! Hoping to get back soon!

Our Sunday cruise led us to Kaneohe and we were starving but wanted to try something different. Yelp led us to the He'eia Pier General Store! The sweetest worker took our order and we chatted about our day as we waited. The shop offers candies, chips, drinks, as well as bentos, burgers, and plate lunches. I had a cheese burger and hurricane fries and my husband got a hamburger steak plate. The kids chose hot dogs and fries. For the price and view, it's definitely an amazing deal and delicious food! The hurricane fries were the best! Definitely a good spice to it! Will definitely be back when we're in the area! :)

Comfort food in Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii... Established in August 2020 and opened in October 2020... In the midst of a pandemic... Is that bravery or what? Today, my neighbor texted me and said she was hungry and bored. She asked me if I was home and if I had any lunch plans. Me: Yes; no; and how about He'eia Pier General Store & Deli? We both googled it and watched the April 2021 KHON2 newsclip online where Chris' daughter was interviewed about this reopened business at the He'eia Kea Small Boat Harbor at Kaneohe Bay. Knowing that they'd close at 2pm, my neighbor said she'd pick me up in five minutes. Shoots! Chris, one of the two owners, was quite friendly when I started asking questions about the new He'eia Pier General Store & Deli. He and his partner recently signed the lease for this popular spot and took a gamble - which turned out to be successful! The fare at the Deli is bentos and plate lunches - which are served at memorial services and drive-by graduation events - how appropriate and convenient! He'eia Pier General Store has been turned over several times. This time, the renovation looks very organized, clean, and well stocked! There were flip flops, sunglasses, fishing poles, lures, scoop nets, snacks, refrigerated beverages, face masks, snorkel equipment, etc. My neighbor and I just wanted some good food. I couldn't decide on what to order, so Chris suggested a Combination plate - yay! I got the beef luau, hamburger steak, and mochiko chicken. Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by the mochiko chicken. I usually don't like chicken. This one was good because it had a slightly crisp char on the skin, was flavored well, and was BONELESS!!! I also recommend the hamburger steak - the patty was high quality (no gristle), homemade, tender, and tasty! Oh - and I had a side of fresh poke. I think I detected a tad bit of sesame seed oil... Mmm... And some shoyu and sweet onions - classic! And the Mac salad had some tuna in it... Yummy! Next time, instead of taking my meal home, I might just enjoy my comfort food along the pier while breathing the cool air, watching the kayakers, and listening to the waves on the shore... ahhh!!! Lucky we live Hawaii! Good luck to this new business! Wishing you continued success and prosperity!

Under new owners and changing it up some. General store inside got all your needs for the day night etc. Little fishing gear to lots of snacks and drinks, forgot shades etc its there. In a hurry grab a bento musubi sandwich peanuts drinks icee. If you got time then check outside... Opened the kitchen now so hot meals along with serving up fresh local caught fish. That's what I love, supporting local fishermen to supporting local small business to supporting locals in general! Food has always been good comfort style. Nothing has been bad here. Check out their social media pages as they post updated menus daily and sometimes post special events like a ohana saimin night, enjoy saimin at the pier at night watching the sunset etc.

The ordering counter and cashier is right as you enter along with thr pastry counter. Same deals with thr kapolei location you order and find your own table and put number so they can find you when your order is up. Inside is airconditioned with around maybe 10 tables and chairs some seat 2 others eat 4 and they also have outside patio seating back and front. The parking can be challenging having maybe 10 -12 spots in their lot and some street parking . Their Menu is a bit more limited than their other location. Sandwiches.. pizza and other stuff oh and coffee. The only thing that wasmt as good as their kapolei location was they didnt have the thin crispy salty cravable fries they only had small bags of chips available The food is always good and the service was real good. The staff gave you an impression where they really valued their customers with greetings with a smile and happy goodbyes. As always a great experience with a great casual setting..fair pricing (nothing is considered "cheap" nowdays) ..good food and friendly staff.

Water is self-serve, and the setup feels more like a cafeteria than a traditional sit-down restaurant. That said, the staff has always been friendly and welcoming, which makes for a pleasant experience. I usually order the chicken pesto sandwich, which is always a great choice, but today I decided to branch out and try the Beach Burger and the Margherita Pizza. Both were absolutely delicious and definitely worth ordering again. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It has a relaxed, coastal vibe that makes you feel like you're dining at a beachfront café, even if you're not right on the sand. Overall, it's a great spot for good food, a laid-back environment, and friendly service. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Sandwiches, burgers, poke, bowls of various types, coffee, all kinds of bevs. Anything that you could desire to keep you sustained during a day of sun burns and big waves. I can't recall the names of the bowls that we got, but they were exactly what we were looking for. Incredibly generous portions at reasonable prices, and the highest quality of ingredients. I'm pretty sure they gave me an entire fish, and I ate the whole thing. The garlic shrimp that fantastic, and smothered in that buttery-garlic goodness. The star of the show were the accompaniments that brought the whole bowls together. The ube was flavorful and added a great texture. The kimchi was a nice add too, giving these dishes a bite to balance things out. And the sauces were nice, but not overpowering. I'm pretty sure there are a few KP markets around, and you should stop here before whatever adventure awaits for you in Hawaii. I even bought a shirt because this place was so dope.

As someone who was a loyal customer of the Waimānalo Kalapawai Market for many years, this review…read moreis difficult for me to write. When this location first opened, it felt like a true community gathering place. The staff were welcoming, cheerful, and knew many of their regular customers by name. I looked forward to coming in, and as a local artist, I was grateful to have my artwork displayed there during Christine's time as manager. Unfortunately, my experience changed dramatically after the management changed. As a longtime customer, I personally noticed a decline in consistency and quality after the management changed. Drinks and food no longer met the standard I had come to expect, while prices increased. Over time, I felt increasingly singled out and treated differently. Communication became tense and disrespectful, and I no longer felt welcome. My final experience was especially disappointing. I purchased a coffee that contained a significant amount of coffee grounds. I politely requested a refund, which was provided, and with the cashier's permission, I poured the coffee into the sink because I did not want both the coffee and the refund. The following day, I returned as a paying customer and was told that I was no longer welcome and would be refused service. I was also told that I had "injured the staff," yet when I respectfully asked what that meant, no one would explain it to me. To this day, I still do not know what I was accused of doing. Because I genuinely cared about this business, I wrote a respectful letter to ownership asking for clarification and review. Weeks have now passed, and I have not received any acknowledgment or response. This review is not written out of anger but out of disappointment. I believe customers deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and clear communication, especially when serious accusations are made or a decision is made to refuse service. I sincerely hope ownership reviews how situations like this are handled so that no other longtime customer experiences the same confusion and hurt that I did. Living in Hawaiʻi, the Aloha spirit is more than a greeting--it reflects kindness, respect, and hospitality. Sadly, over the years after the management change, I felt that this spirit was no longer reflected in my experiences there. My hope is that Kalapawai Market Waimanalo will continue to be a place where every customer and community member feels welcomed and respected. Farewell. I leave with many good memories of what this place once was, and I hope one day others will experience that same welcoming spirit again.

Items tried: - Chow fun & fried chicken from the okazu menu - BBQ mix plate, includes Teri beef, bbq chicken, kalbi (my favorite) - Steak & shrimp plate Note: Regular plates included 2 scoops of white rice and 1 scoop of their macaroni salad The chow fun was packed with so much flavor, and their fried chicken was soft with crunchy skin as well. My friend tried their steak and shrimp, medium rare, and they were both super delicious. I've also never tried such a tender piece of kalbi! Also, to spotlight the macaroni salad, it was definitely different from others I have tried. I saw egg bits and potato in it, and it had a modest presentation, but there was much texture and flavor! Staff were also very kind, and the ladies in the front are so helpful and friendly. We also had the opportunity to meet and talk story with the new owners, Vanessa and Jay. All right, enough whining. Here's the review: Food: Good, but not great and not as good as the now defunct Tokiwa (*sniff*) or Nuuanu Okazuya. They have the furikake chicken (which is pretty good), the kabocha (smaller than Nuuanu and not as yums), fried garlic chicken (good), musubis, hamburger patty (in a teri sauce), corned beef hash (flat). Service: Sometimes everyone is in the back, but there is a little bell to ring if you want service. A few small tables and chairs, but most people get their food to go (plus it's hot in there, the air circulation is not the best). Ambiance: Not really worth mentioning. Same as any other cramped okazuya. Overall: Slightly more expensive than Nuuanu Okazuya. One furikake chicken, one garlic chicken, one musubi and one corned beef hash was $7.50, I think. The plate in the pic was also over $7. I guess if you're tired of Nuuanu and want something a little different, check this place out. Otherwise, I'm sticking to Nuuanu.
