Despite the fact that I had just made a purchase and the parking lot was still mostly empty, the owner chased me down as I walked across the street and abruptly told me I could not keep my car there. I returned to my vehicle and decided to simply wait for my wife instead of abandoning her and our baby while I circled Kailua looking for parking. Roughly two minutes later, the owner came knocking on my window demanding to know what I was doing. I explained, calmly and logically, that I was waiting for my wife and utilizing the customer parking that was advertised on the sign after making a purchase. Rather than respond reasonably, he became increasingly emotional, irrational, and confrontational over an almost empty parking lot. The interaction honestly felt less like speaking to a business owner and more like dealing with a child throwing a tantrum. By the end of it he seemed genuinely on the verge of tears over someone calmly sitting in a parking spot they had every reason to believe they were allowed to use. At that point I decided it was better to leave before my wife and infant walked back into an escalating confrontation with someone behaving so unreasonably. If the business wants to impose hidden rules or arbitrary time limits on parking, they should clearly post them instead of emotionally harassing paying customers in an almost empty lot.

I like to come for the poke, I also like the chips and local snacks. The dips and other refrigerated goodies are also good. As for liquor, I've found pretty neat bottles of interesting flavors and brands. They're the only people who sell ever clear (I needed some to make homemade limoncello) and they have a variety of locally made alcohol. The cashiers are efficient, but not always friendly. Prices are reasonable I think. There are usually other people on the store picking up pau hana drinks and snacks. Yeah and I just love how they managed to evolve and keep up with the times as many other flavor enhancer has entered the industry here in Hawai'i we just love our local flavors not found in many places. Through work I do enjoy the flavors of Harders luckily which did make me think of my bestie who share the joy of our favorite drink and though why can't she take home and enjoy the island like we all do, and to my surprise I can purchase syrups online as well and yes they ship though I'm able to pick up at their warehouse located in Waipahu as well. From the street view there's no sign for Harders but "Island Maid Inc." and that's where it is curbside pick up is Monday to Thursday only from 7am to 2pm and there is a sign for you to pick up your order but as I drove up a staff came right out and knew exactly what my order was and it was just super easy. Love the convenience of ordering and pick up you just need to be mindful that it does take some time so it can't be a same day service but knowing that you're able to place an order easily is truly sweet.
