This wine shop is a treasure trove of imported wines, spirits, and beer. Their wine selection is decent and pricing reasonable especially in their champagne. They have a wonderful range of selections from France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, etc. They also carry wines from Washington, California, and Oregon. Their spirits selection was equally impressive! We were looking for a couple bottles to bring to dinner. We ended up getting a bottle or Vincent Wengier Chablis and Loriot-Pages Brut Champagne. These were based on recommendations by the staff. Service was amazing. The staff were very friendly and walked us through their collection and provided excellent recommendations.

But, they do not have just wines (a vast and impressive selection of, by the way)! I went to check out their whiskys and whiskeys, of which they have a very good selection of, but not too extensive. You do not go there to buy the cheap stuff, rather to look for something special or unique. Been there a couple times: first time we went the person behind the counter was way too helpful, almost forcing their knowledge on you when it wasn't warranted. The second time was met with a very friendly and non-intrusive but knowledgeable employee, which made me feel better about buying a few bottles of whiskey. I'd say prices are the same as other stores. Ambiance is great. If I go again, next time I'll check out their wine selection.

I guess it pays to have the credit card on you, just in case you need it and running past here. This particular Aloha gas station is nestled deep within Palolo valley, where its definitely a neighborhood establishment and very close by to many to fuel your vehicle and grab necessities you'd need on a daily basis. This Aloha Gas station and mini mart has been Palolo Valley's mainstay for many years. It's one of two main gasoline stations inside Palolo Valley, the other one being on 10th Avenue. Gas prices here, like all of them within Honolulu and around the state, fluctuate weekly, if not daily, so the drivers who come through or live here cab fuel up while being quite close to home. For the most part, gas prices is quite competitive here, depending if you are trying to score a bargain. The overall experience here each time is rather of quickness and positive. Fast is always better and having your credit card is always a plus. Usually for me, I literary run through the area and past by this Aloha gas island mini mart location more consistently than I realize. The service here is okay, usually because I come here after dark and sometimes it does get a little spooky, just cause you are in Palolo valley, it seems. Strange cast of characters seems to come out of the woodwork at odd times, but that's how life is, I guess. I don't get gas here, as I don't drive or own a car in Honolulu, but I would buy water or food snacks at the mini mart whenever I felt hungry or thirsty. It's always nice to have a stop like that, versus finding a public water fountain that may be broken. Besides I do like ice cold water anyhow. This Aloha gas mini mart calls its home at 1841 Palolo Avenue in the heart of Palolo Valley. Public bus route 9S currently services this route and before that route 9 previously did the job before being rerouted. They accept credit cards, as well as cash at the pumps and inside the mini mart. There are 4 individual gas pumps outside and serve the typical 3 grades of gasoline: regular, plus, and super/premium. The mini mart itself is really small, but has most of the items you'd need. Drinks, food, and other essentials to get you on your way to work, or to grab something you need on your way home from a hard day at the office. For what it's worth, the mini mart experience was just average and okay. Nothing more to say, since it isn't a 7-Eleven at all, where you can get a little bit more real estate as far as space goes, but there's an adequate supply of stuff to buy and I'm sure you have your favorites when you come here. While there are 7-Elevens with gasoline pumps, you may be better off here at the Aloha Gas here in Palolo Valley. Probably if you live in the valley or trying to scope out a nice deal on savings. Service here can be hit or miss, depending on when you come. Still, a pretty good but average experience here. Just get in and out and move on with your life. Nothing special here. 3.0 stars. Who hasn't passed Yong's Wine & Spirits just a step away from Safeway Beretania on one of the busiest corner on Kinau and Piikoi and I thank goodness I haven't given them a visit earlier. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff and loved how nice and clean it was, spacious and neatly organized. Here's the place for cravings of all kinds...the variety here is just incredible, though they've been keeping a secret that I just discovered. They have the asian exotic chips that we all have been salty about the bougie lays's and even Oreo! I was in heaven and spent a great amount of time deciding on one...yup one lol! I did get the seaweed flavor and gosh what a yummy crunch snack! It's just a nice convenient location for a place that's open 7 days 7am-9pm knowing that surely puts me in great spirits! Thank you!

Young's Wine & Spirits has a great selection of the two noted alcohols in the name, but they also have many others: soju, seltzers, RTD cocktails, and for me, an amazing selection of beer! It also feels like a convenience store, with essential food items, lots of snacks, and tobacco products. They also sell ice and have an ATM. They regularly rent out a stall in the parking lot to a food truck, which changes periodically. If something interesting is making food that day, it's also easy to pickup dinner. For me, I come for the beer selection. They get a variety of 6-packs, 4-packs, cases, and singles from mostly US breweries. I really appreciate their large selection of local breweries, most of which are available in single cans if you'd like to try a few. Prices are competitive with stores selling similar products. The owners have been super friendly and welcoming to me, both on Instagram and in the store. I appreciated having a few free sample cans to try on more than one occasion. Cheers! It's easy to get here, off Piikoi near Safeway with its own small lot. It's also easy to walk around the fence if you're doing your grocery shopping and want to add in some libations.

She was even doing a free wine and cheese tasting when I popped into their soft opening after my appointment upstairs at Habib Hair. This shop is the perfect place to stop for Mediterranean goodies like wine, cheese, herbs and canned goods. They also sell bakery items and desserts now. Their wine selection is small yet bespoke and unique. Wines from Greece, Italy, New Zealand, France, Oregon, all over and decently priced. I grabbed a small charcuterie box that had a good selection of 4 types of cheese, 2 types of meat and 3 kinds of fruit (grapes, fresh figs and apple) and it comes with crackers.
