The catfish was seasoned well and moist; the dressing was moist as well and had a lot of flavor and the mac&cheese was good as well....lots of flavor with all the different cheeses and very cheesy The caramel cake was awesome the cake was really moist and spongy and the caramel sauce was fire ! The banana pudding was great as well and the serving sizes were just right. The entire meal was amazing and will definitely go there again to try another meal. The owner is very nice and personable and cares very much about the food she cooks. She cooks to order so the wait time may be a few minutes, but getting fresh food is always worth the wait. The dressing was just "okay" and unfortunately I bit into a large chunk of fat from the turkey meat in the dressing so that didn't help. The real star was the gumbo greens. My dad was also not a fan of the dressing, but he said he would have gotten the gumbo greens for both his sides if he had known how good they were. My mom enjoyed her food as well as the strawberry crunch cake I suggested she get. I am not sure if I missed it my first visit, but when my order was being rung up I noticed a cash and non-cash price flash on the screen. I did not see any signage on the door about the extra fee for paying by card, and the cashier did not mention it. That is such a big pet peeve for me. Had I known in advance, I would have come prepared to pay with cash. I am sure I will return again, but restaurants really need to be transparent about these excess fees.
