I recently visited One World Roasters for the first time. Although they serve coffee beverages on site, the roaster side of the business seems a particular focus. I say that because it affects how I rate One World. If I was grading them against other Coffee Shops, I would have to consider things like the lack of significant seating and the fact that the atmosphere, although fine, is not a selling point. I have been to other roasters who serve some coffee beverages. I think that's a better point of comparison. As a roaster, One World does a number of things well. Their roasting machine is visible as you enter. They have a wide range of countries of single origins and blends available. They offer several different roast levels. The person who helped me seemed knowledgeable about their offerings. He also provided me with a document that described the qualities of their offerings. I fresh grind coffee and make home pour overs daily. I bought a pound of a medium roast Guatemalan Single Origin beans. It was a good value. I often pay 50 percent more for Guatemalan Single Origin through the websites of highly respected craft roasters across the US than I paid at One World. When I first brewed it, the coffee tasted and smelled fresh roasted. Perhaps even too fresh roasted for maximum flavor enjoyment. Sometimes, the flavors open up a bit a few more days after the roast date. I waited a week before brewing it again. At that point, it tasted less "roasty" and I picked up some of the orange flavor mentioned on the bag. It was good. I tried to buy a black iced coffee while I was at One World. It was a couple hours before they closed for the day and they were sold out. The person nicely offered to make me an iced latte or an Iced Americano. Instead, I ordered a hot coffee, which I understand was a house blend. I let it cool and poured it over ice when I got home. It was fine, but didn't really pop for me. I don't live in the area. If I did, I might visit One World to try more coffee beans. I would probably consider other area options for iced coffee. 4 Stars

This coffee shop is absolutely beautiful. The inside is super clean and neat and organized. It smells amazing. It has seating for many (about 10 people). The employee who made my caramel dolce latte was very kind. The store had just closed when I walked in at 1205 and he still served me. The espresso is super dope too!!im actually embarrassed that I haven't gone in sooner than this. I want to support local coffee!

A few weeks back we made a spontaneous trip to One World Roasters to try out their holiday drinks! Their specials included Tiramisu, Peppermint Patty, Candy Cane and Gingerbread. John and I tried the Tiramisu and Peppermint Patty and WOW did we love these! The real highlight of our trip though was getting to talk to the baristas about their shop! She was so welcoming and friendly and we had a great time learning about this coffee house. As One World Roaster says, Great Coffee isn't easy to come by, especially if it's ethically sourced and made from nothing but the finest organic beans from around the world. They also have a yoga studio attached and a - Labyrinth how fun! They host many community activities which is super fun for those near East Haven! While their holiday special have passed they have just entered their month of vanillas and these look just as amazing! Check out the offerings below: Vanilla Maple Vanilla Brûlée Vanilla Almond Vanilla Chai

Quaint spot in East Haven with a nice coffee selection. Love that they roast their coffee as well. We enjoyed it! And will definitely be back!

Lots of coffee!

We stopped at this cute little cafe yesterday while we were waiting for an event at East Haven high school. I had a latte and my husband had a black coffee - both delicious. The cafe is spotless and nicely decorated! The service was great. Recommend!

While the vast majority of businesses one might find on Yelp are primarily coffee shops that also make some money selling beans, OWRC is a group of dedicated roasters who have seemed to opened up a coffee shop to make money on the side and/or for fun. Given that context, it made sense that when I drank the coffee-of-the-day black, I was not shocked when it was one of the best "quick coffee" I had in a while. The cup was not sour or diluted from mass production, which is a small tweek that makes a huge difference. Aside from the coffee, wherever they get their baked goods seems to also use fruit that's in season. I had a delicious peach coffee cake that complimented my drink well. Though the place is small, it is nicely decorated and comfy feeling to slowly enjoy the morning as it passes by. The parking is a bit confusing as the front is mostly gravel where you could park, and if you accidentally drive too far you end up in a rehab center in the back where workers will stare at you awkwardly to let you know you're in the wrong place. Not that I know from experience or anything...

Support local businesses. One World is one of them. Eric and Christine run a great little shop and share their love of coffee and wellness with the community. The have an attached yoga studio and often run many free events to the public. I definitely trust that the beans that they purchase and roast on site are high quality. I bought a bag of medium roast coffee for my french press and it was very delicious. They have several light, medium and dark roasts available in 1lb bags as well as sell coffees and other beverages by the cup in their cafe.

I was looking for a new place to get fresh espresso beans and came across this cafe on Yelp. Stopped in this morning and got their Black Kat espresso beans along with my usual iced caramel latte with oat milk. The latte was really good (pictures attached) and I enjoyed the interior of the cafe - very relaxing. I haven't tried the beans yet but they look fresh so I'm excited to try them!

Left: Hot Almond Joy Latte is very tasty and flavorful. Right: Cold Green Apple Espresso Latte, the taste and aroma are very refreshing!

I ordered a Hot Almond Joy Latte and it was very tasty. You have the option to get it cold or hot. I would recommend stopping by and getting one on your way to work. One World Roasters is one of the best Coffee Shops in East Haven, CT.

I can't choose 1 fave. My daughters in Boston & NYC, fellow coffee nerds, prefer Jesse's coffee, as do their friends over their many local roasteries. Decaf earns kudos: with caffeine-sensitive family member, he offers several excellent Swiss/water-processed options, of which 2-3 are available at any time. I want more so I can drink more and sleep soundly. He's a pleasure to speak with, and I wish him much success.

He gets the beans, roasts them himself (and will roast them fresh for you if you preorder though this is not necessary!) The variety of beans is tremendous and he is always ready to give a recommendation. The usual staples are there (around 10-15) but there's always a variety of small batch stuff that he's gotten. Though the tariffs have made prices go up a little, this place still remains my favorite place to buy beans. Not only is it is nice to get great quality coffee it's wonderful to support the small business! Note: this is only a bean shop, there are no premade drinks. It's open twice a week but apparently other times can be prearranged via special orders (I usually just go on saturdays when they are open). Finally beana are available while though he will grind them for you for free if you like.
