Sleazy, shady, unethical, and disappointing. I don't leave reviews ever, but I think people should…read moreknow. On 6/2/25 I brought my car to the dealership for a brake job. When I scheduled the appointment a month before they quoted me $390 est, I do understand some thing can fluctuate just a little bit. When I came in, Kaylee, the service manager, was super nice at first, got me into a loaner so I could get to work for the day. However as the day went on I got a call, they were quoting me for a ton of work that equated to around $8K. Most of the work was unneeded, I had a friend (mechanic) look over my car as well, and it is not work needed.
She said oh I could come back another day to get all the work done and I could come in installments as needed. I told her I had only budgeted for the brake job I was quoted for today. I looked at the quote she sent me and for only front brakes, it looked as though I was paying $1000.00.
I texted and told Kaylee that that was not something I could do right at the moment, and she told me "oh that quoting system is never accurate lol, it won't be $1000.00."
So at this point as I'm looking on the quoting she sent it looked as though I might be paying $625 to maybe $1000 for a brake job. I asked for an itemized list of what I'd be paying for, she said I'd get that when I came to collect my car.
I asked for a proper quote and was told that "they had to order the parts, and once they came in she could fully price it." You know the cost of the parts, you had to order them. You can give me a correct quote. You're not even giving me a ballpark as to what I'm paying for.
At this point I was frustrated and not sure what I was paying as there was no clarification, and it seemed as though my wallet was going to be rung out to dry. There are financing options available though, on an undisclosed amount.
By this point, I texted and said I need an accurate number so I know what I'm paying otherwise I'm picking up my car and taking it elsewhere. This is where her texts got short with me and said "I cannot provide an exact number until all parts are here. The price is what I told you before tax and shop fees." Well you never told me a price, an accurate one. You gave me multiple different numbers. And about three minutes after she sent that text, she told me the parts had just arrived. Wow. Coincidental. I told her work was not authorized on my car and I was going to pick it up. As to which she said; "Okay." And then "Your vehicle is ready for pick up. Open until 6PM." Just very cold and not at all wanting to work to figure out some kind of solution. On the RO as I was checking out at the service shop to get my car it was also said "I declined work right as car was being pulled in." Which means you were going to do work without telling me what I'd be paying fully. As I had arrived to pick up as well, both Kaylee and the service manager ignored me, and nothing was said at all, in fact she hid behind her monitor as I walked by.
I did get my car back and I've got the job being done for a FIXED amount which is still cheaper, from someone else. Overall a horrible experience and if you don't want to be scammed, worked around, and lied to, or possibly have a sleazy credit check pulled on financing for an undisclosed amount. Don't go here. Kaylee, Suntrup, and the service department here are just a part of the reason automotive has a bad name.
