Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . The work crew was professional , skilled craftsmen that figured out every little corner and angle to perfection . I am amazed at the quality of work . The transformation is stunning . Then Dan came to our house and spent a significant amount of time with us explaining our options, showing us samples of cabinets, and answering all of our questions. We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. But we feel that the finished product, the quality of the materials used, and the professionalism and skill of the team were worth what we paid. Someone came out to our house initially for the first consultation and we looked at images, sample colors, and got pricing. We ended up waiting a while before scheduling as we had some work trips come up, family stuff, and some other things that we couldn't do it in the timeframe we had initially thought, but we finally got it done this last week. Communicating with the company was incredibly easy, the woman answering the phones was super friendly and courteous and we were happy that we were able to book an appointment within a couple of weeks from calling. A technician came to do the tub portion on the first day and came back the second day to do the surround and shower. He was very professional, clean and communicative during the whole process. The smell was a little bit strong for us, so we did have to open some windows and doors and get some fans going since we are on the sensitive side to odors. Overall not a big deal. The room was covered and taped off... we could not wait for the reveal!! Now that the tub and surround are complete and we are able to get back to using the bathroom again, we are very happy with how it turned out. It looks so next level and it's going to be easy maintenance... plus it looks 1000 times better than that nasty yellow stained surround that we had since we bought this house a year ago! This person educated me on the different products and services that could potentially fill my need, and we discussed my lifestyle/living habits to determine which would suit me best. He even performed a live demo of the product we chose, and that settled it. The pricing was very competitive - literally within a couple hundred dollars of the competitor quotes I gathered - and they were able to get me on the schedule within a week's time of signing the quote. Someone came to the home, arriving right one time and working quite quickly. They sealed the grout in my entire house in less than one workday's time, and explained we can walk on it after just 24 hours. Best of all (for me) they supplied us with their proprietary cleaning solution, and they do provide "touch-ups" for the sealing, which means that as years pass and high-traffic areas wear out, I won't have to pay to have the entire house redone.
