Jeremy gave us better quality, better service, and a better price than the insurance contractor. He was professional, communicative, and clearly takes pride in his work. The whole process was smooth and stress-free, and the results look fantastic! If you're looking for someone honest, reliable, and skilled--JBH is it. Highly recommend!

I made sure that whomever I have repair the job has an ROC and good yelp reviews. Enter JBH Maintenance and Remodeling, He gave me an estimate and promised me that he would make everything good. He explained what he would do and the repairs I needed to make. He came in higher than others, but he was the only one with an ROC and good yelp reviews, so I pulled the trigger. Gave him what we agreed upon for the money down ($1600.00) and said he would start tomorrow (Sunday). As a contractor I was under the impression he would be here at or around 7 am but he starts his day at 9:30 am. He shows up and tells me the additional materials I need to replace the baseboards and Casings, which cost me an additional $450.00 on top of $3500.00 that I would pay him for the job. (We did agree that I was responsible for materials at the time of the estimate). I ordered the materials by phone, unfortunately, they could not be delivered until Thursday. Jeremy told me that he would still come work tomorrow (Tuesday) as he could do other things to get ready for the baseboards. I received a text Tuesday morning (I believe) around the time he was supposed to be at the house (9:30 am - 10:00 am) telling me he wasn't coming over and he will see me on Thursday. He shows up on Thursday at 9:30 am to start. Jeremy worked a few hours and took a lunch and was not able to finish as I locked him out of house (The second half of the day was on me, not his fault). Friday, they worked 4.5 hours and at the end of the day he informed me he was taking Saturday off. He shows up on Sunday, and I am a little concerned about how far he has to go and the amount of material I purchased and has been barely touched. He shrugged it off and basically tells me he's not done yet and it will be used. I feel a since of urgency on his part and he tells me he needs to get the job done because he has a $18,000.00 bathroom remodel that he needs to start. He surprisingly works only till 3:00 pm, telling me he is going to finish tomorrow. I didn't see how that was going to happen, I knew this was not going to end well. Shows up Monday at 9:30 am by himself and works without a lunch till 5:30 (his first full day) I could see that he was trying to get this job done and his body of work showed the rest of the way. Shows up again on Tuesday at 10 am and says he done with the job after an hour and 45 minutes. Has me come in to look at the completed job and I was shocked that he would think that it was acceptable. First the reason why I had him redo the baseboards in the first place is to put them all at a 45-degree angle, along with replacing all the casings that were not level. No casings were recut; they were just hammered down on top to look as if they were leveled, which then you can see on the picks, the bottom of all the casings he was supposed to replace are not level at the bottom. Very little of the baseboards on the last 2 days of work were not replaced (If any were replaced at all), he just applied caulking over the top where the corners meet to hide the fact that he did not do it. I questioned his quality of work, and he had an excuse for everything, like my wall was crooked so he couldn't put a 45-degree angle on my baseboards, or he couldn't cut the baseboard correctly cause to do that he would have to pull the toilet out (LOL). No Jeremy, all you have to do is take the hose off the back of the wall that connects the toilet. Jeremy also told me that he would caulk all the baseboards and fill in all nail holes, baseboards he did. Nail holes he didn't. This is why I paid you the money, not for you to tell me, "No one is going to know the difference". Those were your words! The only reason I paid him in full was because of my wife. I personally would not have paid him and definitely do not recommend his work. There are many contractors out there and I would advise staying away from this one. I see that Jeremy replies to his bad yelp reviews and all I have to say to that we both know how you finished my job. Shame on you. I hired a handyman to fix your work which cost me an additional $1000.00 but at least he did it right. Below are pics.

Previously we had somebody else from another company out and they did not do the job properly. I explained the situation to Response Crew and I was relieved to receive reassurances from the manager of Response Crew that he'd send one of his best door guys out and that we would not be disappointed. The manager also called back twice to make sure we were happy with the job. Although I missed those voice messages I figure posting about my experience here will make up for that. It's always tough when you are trying to hang a new door on an old frame that may not be perfectly straight anymore. And yes only time will tell if the fit holds. But I will say that even if we do have another problem in the future, I know where to go - Response Crew is a no brainer and for sure I'll be a repeat customer for future needs!

They were upfront on their initial scheduling call with their estimates for pricing, minimums, and hours to complete. Overall, very reasonable pricing in comparison to some of the other quotes I received. Definitely not the cheapest (and also not the most expensive), but they pride themselves on quality of work - so you pay for what you get. Within 24 hours of my initial quote request, they had me scheduled, and had their handyman, Carlos Hernandez, out to complete the job. Carlos was professional, courteous, and did a fantastic job. When he arrived, he briefly scoped the job, measured, and explained what he needed to do/roughly how long it would take him. From there, he went out to get the necessary parts and returned within the hour to complete the job. He cut the trim to length in my driveway, installed the trim, and caulked within 45 minutes. Frankly, the new trim Carlos installed looks even better than the original! I would highly recommend Carlos and the Response Crew team to anyone in need of general handyman services. While I only used them for this small job, they will definitely be hearing from me again for other work to be done!

He admitted to me that he had to remove the entire casing so how is it not possible that a chip could happen something could have hit my stove top a tool could have banged against it. Once I informed him that neither the handle or the chip was there before he came he stopped responding unfortunately I'm a single working parent and needed to be at work and was not able to supervise him so he's taking full advantage of this stating that he's not going to fix these. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 instead of 5 is due to the cost. My dryer turned out to be fine, a piece inside fell off. It was 60$ for the tech to just put the piece back in place. It did take him about 25 min to get it put back on and the dryer back together, but I still feel like 60$ was a lot for just putting a piece back in place. Just my personal opinion. The tech did offer a 90 day "warranty" if the piece falls off again, they will put it back on for free again or put that 60$ towards the replacement of the piece, so that is very nice. I'm a yelp stickler, otherwise I would have given a 5 stars probably. Great service, just think 60$ was a little high.

He said he would pressure wash, fill in all the holes/knots, prime (as one side had a significant amount of replaced siding the year before and had weathered) and then paint. He said his home looked like glass - to imply that would be the quality of service he would provide. I did not negotiate the price. The day of the job, his people arrived - no John. I asked if they would wash, fill and prime one day and return to paint the next day (as was being done with other homes being painted in the neighborhood.) I was told it would be done all at once. John didn't come to the site until the end, wanting to be paid before the job was completed with a promise to return to finish and put up the shudders. I wasn't particularly happy with the job and expressed that to John by saying he should have been on site. Some knots were filled, not all, the new wood was not primed, just sprayed. I held back $1,000 until the job was completed (the shudder issue.) That clearly angered him and he was quite nasty. He said he would return at a particular time, arrived hours early and proceeded to send nasty texts because, I was not there, saying he never said that was when he was coming. After having some woodpeckers damage the side of the home with the replaced siding, it was apparent why they chose that side, as you could see the weathered wood through the coating. I contacted John and he sent Dave to come assess the issue. Dave estimated labor at an additional $650 to coat one short side of the home. He quickly lowered his price to $600, as I did not respond right away. I eventually explained my obvious dilemma (paying AGAIN, because the job was not done as described and improperly at that.) I asked for it to be discussed with John, no response. I sent the text to John about the issue, and he had all kinds of excuses: He's retired (yet he's painting in AZ); He just gets the jobs for the guys (yet you make the check out to him and he collects the cash); You wanted it painted when it was cold so it didn't cure (it can't cure where it's not applied, I have the texts - in March I requested the job be done in the summer.); You sound mad (then says Dave will do it and he will be in touch.) Thus far- NADA! John has painted in the Twin Cities, MN for at least two decades, likely closer to three before moving to AZ. No reviews except from someone from the state of Washington in 2019?! I guess he is on to scam the good people of the Sun Lakes region. I implore you not to trust this slick talker. Get a professional the first time and only pay once.
