I did call Rocky's Pawn shop, Indio, to see if they would honor the fact that they sold broken jewelry, but they said no. Not good business to sell broken jewelry.

I usually only go into a pawn shop if I am in a real pinch and they seem to have mastered the dark art of taking full advantage of desperate people while playing with their emotions in a condescending manner. They have misrepresented items and sold them to me and then gave me 25% of what I paid for it when I brought it back. As well as undervalued items that I know are genuine and insulted my intelegence. I understand that they need to make a profit but I wish there was a pawn shop in the area that was more community, customer service driven. This store never seems to be busy and I can see why.
