I have been using Marc 1 Numismatics this year from a recommendation of a close personal friend. My experience with this company has been professional, prompt, fair and overall very satisfying. They treat me like a long time customer, like an old friend or family member. Another surprising fact, I was able to take product purchased the same day, even though my payment took several business days to clear my bank. I thought this was very good business on Marc's part. He did not have to do that. Also every person I have dealt with especially Jasmine has been wonderful! I would highly recommend this business whether you are new to buying metals or coins or if you are a seasoned pro. Marc 1 Numismatics is 1st Rate! read more

you will be making the right choice with these folks. no pressure and trustworthy ! wouldn't hesitate to recommend Marc, Madison and all.

Had a collection of old silver coins. No numismatic value at all. The prices they paid were quite reasonable. Great people to work with. Will be back with some of my better silver soon. read more

Marc is a man of integrity and honor - he has multiple certifications and runs a safe and honest business. I went to a jewelry road show where they offered to buy old jewelry and their offer was less than half what Marc paid out to me. MarcOne does not cheat people out of their money. If you have old coins gold or silver jewelry then see MarcOne! Buy and sell with this friendly business read more

Be careful if you sell gold here. I brought in a gold coin with a bezel, and we were unsure if the bezel was gold. The employee did an acid test, and based on what I observed, the first test seemed to show that it was gold. Then a different acid was used, and I was told it was not gold. I left feeling very uncomfortable with the process and would recommend getting a second opinion before selling anything valuable here. read more

Went in for the first time to sell some gold. They were very professional and extremely helpful. I was offered a fair price and left feeling like they made the process of selling my gold very easy. read more

I will be back and encourage others to buy and sell with Marc One. read more

I have been trading and buying silver and gold for the past 20 years. There are three or four other alternatives here in Coachella Valley and I have tried them all. When I found Marc One Numismatics, I was both happy and pissed off. I was pissed off because I had been getting ripped off from the other jewelry and coin dealers. Not by just a few dollars we're talking big percentages. I was happy because I finally found a fair and honest coin dealer. When others have a spread of $10-$15 between buying and selling. Marc One is usually a 4 to 5 dollar spread between buying and selling even at $70 an ounce. I use Marc One like a bank right now. If I need a little cash I take a few coins in for cash, when I have extra money, I buy a few ounces. I don't even look at the other sites anymore because they are a rip off. This is the best deal going in Coachella Valley. I guarantee it. And the customer service is fantastic. read more

Extremely knowledgeable Marc was pleasant to deal with and his offer was exactly what he prints on his day sheet. Go here. no need to to look anywhere else. read more

Friendly, Fair, Knowledgeable and Professional. If You are thinking of selling coins - Be Sure to Check them out! You can waste a lot of time and gas driving around, but I guarantee, You will end up at Marc One. read more

Marc, Madison, and their team are the best in the business. I shop with them regularly and have built a friendship with them. I am thankful for their honesty and integrity. Honest. Pragmatic. No pressure. Incredibly impressive. It took hours, yes. Was it well worth it? Yes. I would trust my life with Marc and everyone in the shop and I barely know them. Dealt with other dealers before but this guy is head and shoulders above all the others. Highly recommended? You betcha'! read more

INCREDIBLE PLACE! You won't find a fairer or more friendly coin shop anywhere. Madison and the rest of the team there were so accommodating. They really made my experience both rewarding and stellar. I would not only recommend them but will not go anywhere else now!!!! They also had a great selection of coins and jewelry to peruse! Tremendous value for the money as well. read more

I am very impressed with this business, and especially the owner, Marc. I have never met a more patient person. We showed up with a small box--40 years worth of coins we had found when liquidating a relative's estate. I expected to be just sorting out a few silver coins to trade them in. However Marc patiently went through ALL my coins, finding hidden gems and value where I was expecting NONE. This was a really enlightening experience, and his tremendous knowledge translated to quite a little cache for us! I highly recommend this business--don't even shop around! He is the best! read more

I met with Marc today to discuss the old coins my mom left to me. He is very knowledgeable, patient and kind. I hightly recommend Marc to anyone wanting to buy or sell coins. read more

Fabulous service- fair pricing. They helped us with the coins left by my husbands mother.

Usually when I see all ***** ratings for a place I wonder how can there be so many, are these all their friends; in this case all I could wonder is why aren't there more. It's not just the extra effort they put into the business (like putting a spread sheet of the buy/sell prices on their site every day), or the fairness of the prices, or the range of the items they buy and sell; it is just fun to shop here. The staff is fun to talk to and rummaging through the amazing variety and quality of available items could be your entertainment for the day! There are a number of ways to get buy/sell quotes on the website, so you can negotiate online, then go play. I'm looking around the house for more stuff to sell, right now. read more

The most hardworking, honest, and knowledgeable staff in the desert area. The owner Marc and his daughter Madi always go the extra mile to take care of the costumer. The guy with the one star review below probably was just having a bad day. Couldn't recommend Marc One enough! read more

Thankful for the wise advice from this family-run business regarding old coins and documents.

A+ I brought in a coin collection I've been lugging around for decades. Marc and Madison took their time going through each and every piece, educating me along the way. Poorest excuse of a coin shop I have ever been in. Was there in the middle of the day on a Saturday. No inventory to look at. Wasn't that busy either. Owner said he didn't have time to put anything out! Finally found two silver coins to purchase. First salesman couldn't add two, two digit numbers in his head. Slid him a calculator that was on the counter. The kid pulls out his phone because he didn't know how to use the calculator! Finally came up with a number. Gave him a hundred dollar bill. Couldn't make change. The owner comes over seeing my frustration even though he was helping other customers and puts the sale down on paper. Now the price is 10% higher! Got my money back and ran. Maybe a good place to sell coins or get appraisals but hard to buy at. I've been in stores that were a total mess but they had inventory. My advice steer clear of here. I did go to another coin shop and spent four times what I would have spent here just because they had something to look at. If I wanted to buy on the internet I would have never gotten into my truck! Buy the way this part of California is beautiful just keep driving!! read more

This is a trip I wasn't looking forward to making because I had numerous coins to sell and figured it was going to be a long process. Marc and staff are so welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. The transaction was so much faster than I thought it would be and we were on the road in 15 minutes. This is one of the businesses that deserves the 5 stars. Thanks so much Marc! We will be back! read more

Marc was very friendly and informative. He answered my questions and explained everything well. I had a few silver coins, and Marc showed me his silver dollar sell/buy sheet, which showed the amount he'd buy my silver coins for. I ended up selling a few, and the process was simple and hassle-free. One thing that stood out during my visit was that the shop had a lovely ambiance and was well organized. I will definitely be a returning customer. read more

Madison, Josh, and Marc are great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Good selection and prices. Will definitely return in the future.

I am so glad my boyfriend noticed Marc Crane's family-owned coin shop on Hwy 111 on our way home one day. My dad recently passed on a ton of silver and international coins he had collected over the years but was looking to offload now that he is newly retired. We walked in randomly and introduced ourselves, and Marc and his staff members were very helpful and welcoming. Fast forward a few days later, I made an appointment to come in and get quoted for every item I was trying to sell. Marc spent almost two hours going through everything I had very thoroughly and was transparent with pricing (what he is offering vs. what he will be selling for). He is super knowledgable about coins and shared that he has been into this since middle school! In the end, we ended up selling everything except a couple coins that my dad decided he wanted to hold onto for the time being. Marc's offer was way better than the other two local coin shops in the Palm Springs area. I especially appreciate the personalized experience he gave, and did not feel any pressure to sell anything to him if I didn't want to after all that time. During our visit, he graciously offered us complimentary bottled water and wi-fi. We were comfortable and so incredibly happy we found this gem! I will definitely be back with more of my dad's coins since he has a few more boxes to go through. Highly recommend Marc One Numismatics to anyone looking to sell coins. He will make an offer for just about anything! read more

I always take a few coins with me when I travel as an excuse to visit coin dealers around the country. I handed three coins to Marc and he offered me more than any other dealer has offered on all three. I sold two for cash and decided in the end I was not ready to part with my higher grade 09-S VDB even though he made a fair offer. He was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and honest. Had I had more time I would have taken his invite to stay longer and talk coins. Next time I travel through Palm Springs I will make time to just visit with him. Easy to see why everyone is giving him 5 stars. read more

Marc this is a message to you personally, anyone who bring coins to you, be serious aware, this man knows his coins and he's an expert for decades, and rates coins brought to him, so low to anyone, because I/we trusted him to be fair, Marc conned me, and I trusted his experience giving me a fair coin value, you Marc rated my pure rare 1908 coin pure dollar gold necklace at grade 60, he gave me $3,300 est and it was worth twice of that, it should of been graded at 68+ I was told that by another expert in coins, he also took my rare 130 silver dimes from 1942-1964 and paid me nothing but a few dollars $2.21? est. per coin for them, he took my Eisenhower Dollars and paid me coin value, he took my Kennedy head 1/2-dollar coins and paid me coin value, for my rare Sacagawea coins and he paid me coin value, and he took my 100+ European coins from 8 countries before the European Euro,so much and he said they had no value and gave me nothing. Telling me they were worth nothing. Anyone do not go to this man's store, his store inside is a dump inside, and he put me under such stress during our exchange because he had no help that day and hurried me up because he had several people waiting to see him! And he had the exchange so others could hear the deal vs in San Diego they do their business in Private rooms!! Do not deal with this man, he's in the coin books as an expert which doesn't mean he pays out at a fair value! Be aware, find someone else to deal with. I've been upset for 2 months now how he treated me and didn't pay real fair value of my coins! I walked out with $5,300 it should of $10,000+ another coin expert told me! Do not give this man your coins! read more

My son has started collecting quarters. My son is 10, so when we went to this store, I understood we were not going to be big ticket buyers. So I did not anticipate the level of service we received. Madison took time to show my son their extensive inventory, reviewed with him the beginnings of the jargon used in coin collecting, and spent time helping him find the coins he wanted. She even gave him a coin collector book to get him started! We were there for forty five minutes and they spent every minute helping him. We will definitely be going back. read more
