Stapled my shirts and one got this weird bleach mark. Went her because my usual guy was on vacation. Won't come here again.

My first time dropping off laundry to have someone else do it!…read more"Who's a big boy? Who's a big boy!!?" I am, Mommy, I am. I lugged my crazy overloaded (and over-sized) laundry bag here because there was no way I was going to have time to do it any time this week! A bit nervous after hearing horror stories, I turned to Yelp to find a good place. Sadly, very few in my area had reviews but this one had a good tip that made me try it out. I walked in and was greeted by the lady, possibly the owner, in the back. She asked when I wanted to pick it up, I was dropping it off on a Wednesday around 6pm and she asked me if I wanted to pick it up same-night... Is that possible? Amazing. I told her I wouldn't be able to pick it up until the next day, she said okay and handed me my slip with a quote of 21.50 incl tax - remember, this is a STUFFED over-sized laundry bag. WOW! That's literally cheaper than what I pay when I do it myself. I picked it up today, it was ready as promised. Everything is neatly folded, smells clean and in pristine order! I think I found my new laundry method! The only down-side is I am sure they use off-brand soap, and do not use fabric sheets, and I just cant get over how my clothes smell after a fresh wash with Tide and Downy. :/

This place provides same day wash and fold service. The staff are friendly and helpful. I don't…read moreknow what they do but the clothes always smell so fresh when I get it back. They also conveniently provide dry cleaning. Highly recommended.

DO NOT go here for alterations, just don't. Save yourself the stress. The service is dismal and…read morethey do not take responsibility for bad work. If I could give ZERO stars I would. The woman in front is plain rude, combative and argumentative. If she speaks three languages it's just more opportunities for her to argue with people. My friend and I brought in two gowns for a wedding two weeks before the event and ended up having to get new gowns, even though they only needed hems. She didn't measure properly but also argued where the hem should be "because of our age"... I was very honest that I wasn't asking for fashion advice, just a hem. Formal floor length gown should be "floor length" but she cropped it and it looked like I borrowed someone's dress who was shorter than me. My friend's gown was cut so badly, you would think a blind person made the cut. The back of the dress was above her ankle and the front touched the floor, completely ruined. Just the sloppiest job ever. We came to ask for our money back, which of course was a waste of time. She gave me ten excuses and didn't even acknowledge ruining the gowns.... Just more arguing. It seems she knows how to run her mouth but not measure, apologize or even admit when she's wrong. She said the older woman who does alternations "felt bad" (which would confirm she knows she did a bad job) but claims she saved the leftover material to show us the cuts she made, but it was clear they were done wrong! We spent $200 and $160 on the gowns, $65 on alterations, and $230 and $180 on two new gowns. And more money on alterations at a real seamstress. Nonetheless, the lesson of never coming back to this dump is priceless! Do not waste your time, money or energy. The floor and walls are also very dirty

I had first heard that taking in clothes was a thing from a dapperly dressed Ben Sherman sales…read moreassociate, but never thought about it again until I realised I wanted a more tapered cut to my slim pants. I know the slacks I had for work looked good, but it would just make it look that much better with a slimmer silhouette. I asked around on social media and was directed to multiple place in Manhattan, an inevitability I feared as a Brooklynite. I researched some places near work and found a tailoring shop that offered to do it for $14, well worth the labor in my opinion, but also cost-aversive since the pants I had were from Zara and on sale which I had been wearing for years now - $20/each. I figured it wasn't worth the cost. That brings me to a random bike ride home when I saw this place across the street and figured I'd give it a go. The lady in the front was super nice, and spoke Cantonese, Spanish, and English. She was super helpful and offered me $8/pair to take in. I asked for a discount if I brought in multiple pairs {7 total} and she agreed. After getting an experimental pair done first, I realised I would be coming here again and again. After that first pair, the results were dramatic. Shopping around SoHo within an hour, I was stopped inside of a Banana Republic asked by a sales associate if the pants were from them because a fellow shopper had noticed them and wanted the same cut and pair. Winning? I think so. Lucky Cleaners is my go to for tailoring!
