I went to this location for steroid injections 3x over the course of 6 months. There were inconsistencies on when I heard from a nurse to schedule a time and receive preop instructions - sometimes it was days before; sometimes a day before. Overall, the staff was efficient and friendly. Augustine was my nurse all 3 times and her bedside manner was extremely empathetic and kind. She was very patient with me on my first visit as I was a little anxious about anesthesia. Eventhough I didnt get relief from the injections, the service and the facility were a standout. read more

While I understand the need to inform patients of co-pays or balances, the representative's tone and approach were very unprofessional. When I explained my situation regarding my co-pay/out-of-pocket status, the agent became argumentative and focused only on collecting payment. I felt pressured and disrespected, rather than assisted. The results of bone density were not accepted by the doctor because poor information. One Stop Diagnostic Sugar Land told us that they can repeat the test but paying it. The doctor placed a new order to Methodist and the results were excellent with an outstanding service. Professionally, huge difference. read more

Terrible service at One Step Diagnostic in Sugar Land. I called in July to book an appointment and the lady on the phone asked me to email them the referral. Months went by, I finally got a call to ask about my insurance information and make an appointment. The only thing that was done right was the location of my choice. Getting there was no problem but getting out to the freeway was a giant hassle. Because of the freeway exit closure, I had to drive to Richmond to make a U turn back to Houston. I wish they would post something about the traffic advisory. When I was at the examine room, the technician was so-so friendly. I wonder if she liked working there. After the test was completed, she ignored me and went to her computer working on the report. I was laying there like, what now. My chest was full of lubricant. She didn't even hand me a towel to wipe. I managed to get up and find paper towels to wipe it down. Next time, I'll try a different location. read more

One Step Diagnostic has multiple locations. My initial call to setup a date was rerouted from a main office line. My wife had a mammogram 7 days ago, and the results still haven't been sent to her primary care physician, causing her to miss an appointment she had scheduled with him. I do not recommend using this clinic, as the results should be available immediately, especially when something potentially dangerous is detected. It's unacceptable that this is happening. read more

I only have a complaint about the registration process. Even though this was my 2nd visit I was told to register as if I was visiting for the first time. it's long and tedious. I think the Billing Dept. needs to be retrained! I feel everytime I need to make a payment it's a big ordeal and you would think I asked them to solve a Calculus problem. I shouldn't have to pray for someone competent to get on the phone to take my payment successfully and give me my receipt. Why isn't there a link provided to patients (a portal) where someone can view their account and pay online? Like, really? I was overcharged recently and now I have to wait 3-7 days for it to come back into my account. It's really an inconvenience. My first time coming. Had an appointment for a mammogram. The office is very clean and spacious. You do have to wear a mask and the staff is masked up as well. At the sign in desk there is a jar of clean pens and a jar for used pens so everyone is not touching behind each other. The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. My wait was not long after I finished my paperwork. The person who took me back walk me through the process and talked me all the way through. The service I was having was uncomfortable and she knew so she continued to talk me through and ensured me all was good and quick process. I think she kept me from being nervous. Afterwards I was walked out and given a time frame for results. I think it's a very professional place and I would recommend to my family and friends. read more

They charged my 91 yr old MIL for a bone density scan, telling her that Medicare doesn't pay for them anymore, which is most definitely not true. My guess is that Medicare doesn't pay as much as OneStep would like them to pay, and makes up for it by charging the patients. They also won't send imaging reports to the patient, the patient must go in person to pick up imaging reports (mind you, my MIL is 91 yrs old). I found that very unusual, as every place else will fax your results if they have a release of medical records on file (which they do). Very frustrating, and not nice to take advantage of elderly people who are confused by the ins and outs of insurance. read more

One Step Diagnostics was 1 of 3 places my doctor referred to me for a CT scan. I chose them because they were the closest to my home. When I first called them, they said they only took appointment directly from other physicians. I called my physician and asked them to make an appointment for me and they said I should be able to do it directly with them, they should not have to do it for me. Nonetheless, my physician went above and beyond and make the arrangement for me and forwarded One Step all my information. Not yet hearing back from One Step, the next day I called One Step and they said they received my information and will call me within the next 2 days after verifying my information. I never hear back from them. In 3 days, I have made no progress with One Step Diagnostics. I called Fort Bend Imaging and made an appointment within 8 minutes. I wish I would rate this place negative star. My podiatrist recommended me to get a CT scan from this place. I called them right after my foot appointment around 435pm to just schedule a appointment for sometime during the week. The lady who answered my call was Zahra she informed me they close at 5pm but still would schedule my appointment for next week n put me on hold n never came back on the phone. I stayed on hold 15 mins thinking she is probably figuring out something. I called the next day n spoke to her and found out she had put me on hold n apparently left for the day!!! How unprofessional is that?? She didn't even apologize n laughed it off over the phone. I asked her to speak to office manager but obviously there isn't one. Where do I even begin, it's an utter mess from the moment you check in. The front desk ladies are beyond rude. There was one nice girl, nice in the sense of no attitude. There are HARDLY ANY covid precautions being taken. They have this coffee tea machine out and obviously people will crowd to get it. They have chairs right next to "x" on the floor for patients to wait. I was sitting and the patient waiting in line must've been 1 foot away. As I was getting my CT SCAN, the bit elderly African American lady was so rude, demeaning, terrible at making a patient feel comfortable. I mentioned to her I needed a CD and she says well you have to tell me, first time patients aren't aware of such. You can tell the back office is utter chaos. The owners kept walking around sitting in their office just on their phone. When I mentioned the lack of precautions for covid taking place I was told to go talk to the man in the office with the door closed. WHYYYY in my right mind would I go into a closed door office with a man twiddling his thumbs and playing on his phone?!? WORST EXPERIENCE I have had with a medical facility in a very long time. The health department needs to come see how grungy this waiting room is. If I could give 0 stars, I would. There were so many patients that waited for hours on end and came back multiple times, only for the employees to rudely say, "I don't know how long it'll be". I waited for 47 minutes past my appointment to be called on. I'm a hundred percent positive this place is at high risk for covid. It's so unkept, grungy, terrible seating lay out. The owners I think are only there to milk the facility of its money, pocket their profit without worrying about sanitation, cleanliness, and covid precautions. The restroom door was wide open as I walked to the radiology room and it was DISGUSTING. I had to unfortunately use the dressing room and the used gowns were overflowing onto the floor from the bin! In such a time period of a very concerning pandemic i would hope there would be way more precautions being taken. Off I go to wash off my germs I feel are all on me and my clothes! The techs were kind. I got my results in less than 24 hours. The gentleman who worked at the front desk was polite and helped people fix their coffee in the waiting room. IRIS WAS A LIFE SAVER ! I went to One Step for a lumbar & cervical MRI I've been to One Step many times. I'm 55 & have a couple of anxiety disorders. When she put the facial apparatus on my head I didn't even make it into the machine before starting to have a panic attack. I kept having to go to the bathroom before I started the MRII & kept asking for water and let me tell you she handled all of this like a pro!.She offered to let me come back another day for my cervical MRI maybe later in the day so I might be more relaxed. AND my time in the marching wouldnt be so long! Very patient very kind you don't see that a whole lot these days when you have a pain in the butt patient like me. LOL. We all know the struggles we have been faced with COVID in full effect however, you could feel the friendliness and positive attitudes even if we were 6ft apart. Each member of the team was super helpful and when I had specific questions they didn't have the answers they were sure work on an answer before I left OR provide me a step-by-step to getting that info. This goes the same over the phone, too. Miss Cynthia was assigned to me for my MRI. Despite my limitations at the time, she was so polite and respectful and constantly making sure I was comfortable and just readily willing to help how she could. Miss Candy (the manager) was phenomenal! It's always nice to see a manager be a team player during a work day. I've been or other diagnostic spots, but the cleanliness of this facility was also exceptional. Great job, team! My doctor recommended this place for an open MRI due to their high tech open MRI machine. I also had a series of X-rays done there as well. All of the staff from the front office staff to the technicians were welcoming and very pleasant to deal with. The technicians answered all of my questions and went beyond by explaining how the equipment functioned as well. I am a techie and find Imaging equipment fascinating. The staff at One Step Diagnostic was also very time conscious and on time win my imaging. They actually were ahead of schedule with me due to a cancellation in their schedule! All of the staff has a great sense of humor and do their best to make you feel at home, especially the two technicians that I dealt with. Thanks guys and gals, keep,up the great job! I called ahead to see if there was a waiting list. The employee asked what type of X-ray and I responded accordingly. I was told there was no one waiting for my type of X-ray. I was 5 minutes away from their sugarland location when I called. I waited over an hour patiently before going to the desk to inquire. Within 5 minutes I was called in. I was told the X-ray Technician was there the whole time that the front desk never did a push back till just then. That is why I sat and waited so long. One stop diagnostic has very good staff and they complete your mri quickly. The problem comes in when you need to have the results sent to your doctor who needs them. They offered to give the results to me but it is not an process. I wish it could be better. I have no way of holding them accountable. read more

My complaint about this place is that if you overpay and your insurance indicate that you did not owe that much they do not actively refund you your overpayment. Unless you know to request it they do not send back the money. That does not seem like fair business practice. So make sure you check your EOB and match it to how much you actually paid out-of-pocket. read more

I went here because they are a participating provider of my insurance. They did not verify my insurance before I arrived like they said they would when I made my appointment. They stated I owed a co-pay but I did not. I was on time for my appointment but they did not take me back for 45 minutes. No urgency and lack of professionalism at the front desk.
