Best item I bought for my kid in 2018. Well made and gives me peace of mind. Would highly recommend to anybody with a carseat-aged child.

I have shopped here for years and spent quite a bit of money here. I have always found the owner…read moreand staff to be helpful and friendly...until today. I came in with a romper I had bought my 12 yr old. It was quite expensive and she wore it once and the seams were unraveling. When I first showed it to an obviously new sales girl. She told me it didn't come from there store. I assured her it did and told her she could look it up in my profile. I then went to shop with my two girls. The woman never came back to tell me she did find the transaction I had to approach her at which time she told me she couldn't help me but Melissa would be back soon and wait for her. So I waited and waited. Finally Melissa arrives and takes one look at this unraveling romper and says" I will have someone sew it for you it's an easy fix" Wrong answer. I explained I didn't want it fixed because it was obviously made poorly and for the money I paid last didn't want "someone stitching up thank you very much " She said well I'm not taking it back" This woman can see I am standing there with more clothes to buy today...the right answer is "I am so sorry I know you shop with us often let me give you a credit towards your purchase today. She was beyond rude thus I put down the clothes I was going to purchase and picked up my phone to write this yelp review. I will not shop there again. If you are going to have top prices then you best have top customer service to match it. Shameful behavior especially given the number of places to mediocre overpriced children's items in this area. I never would have expected it from this store. But it only takes once to lose a customer for life. I hope not taking back a damaged romper was worth exactly that.. Because that is what it cost you.

It has come to my attention that Carter's, purveyors of baby and children's "fast fashion," have a…read moresocially irresponsible practice of not recycling any of their plastic hangers. Today I asked the lady behind the cashier at their Norwalk, Connecticut outlet, if they could reuse the hangers (as I did not need them at home). She replied that the store would not reuse the hangers, and all hangers went in the garbage NOT RECYCLING. Norwalk has a wonderful single-stream recycling program. However, I was flat out told thousands of hangers per year just get thrown in the trash out back everyday. While I love that Carter's can sell me a cute shirt for two dollars (which will inevitably get spattered with juice and other mysterious stains), I do not love that my daughters great-great-great-great grandchildren will still be living with the mess we are creating today. It is said that the average plastic takes between 400-500 years to degrade. Many plastic hangers used by Carter's are #5 or #6 and are usually able to be recycled through most curbside programs. While I recycle at home and will teach my daughter the importance of recycling...why is Carter's not doing it's part to reduce, reused or recycle! Basically it seems that they do not want to pay for recycling services which is a disgrace considering they are ruining the world for the very children they aim to clothe at a profit to themselves. Carters sells more than 10 products for every child born in the United states and prides itself on "quality and innovation" (carters.com). I am asking Carters to pledge to make the world a better place for everyone's children by making it mandatory for their stores to reuse or recycle unneeded plastic hangers. As the largest branded children's clothes manufacturer in the United States, it is in their interest to become and advocate for ETHICAL manufacturing and consumption of their goods. Great customer service! Local to me and I'm there a few times each month.read more
