One would think if you're paying $44 to dry clean a jacket it would come home looking better than when you dropped it off. Nope, there was a two inch scorched area on the front and several places the color was completely gone. My favorite jacket is now ruined, so disappointed. Usually I don't mind one or two one star reviews, not everyone has perfect experiences everywhere, but there's a reason this place is essentially all one star reviews. Incredibly expensive and the three times I've used them, came home with a shirt that wasn't mine the first time, and didn't come home with a pair of pants the third time. I made the mistake of dropping off and leaving as I've done for years at my old cleaners with no problems, unlike this place. A 66% error rate is WAY too high. Save your money on costs and replacements and go elsewhere. Same day service isn't worth it. read more

I just went in to get my wedding dress cleaned, and the worker told me it would be $300!!! I said excuse me? I expect that if I was having it preserved and such, but just to have it cleaned? I checked online and saw that costs are usually between $150-$200. She said I could speak with her manager, who appears to be the owner, and after waiting 10 minutes, she finally appeared. I asked her why it cost so much and she "because we do a really good job." I informed her that the cost was close to the price of the actual dress, and she said, well, you're in Montecito! So, I took my stuff and left. Now, seeing the other reviews, it makes sense. Prices are way too high, and that sort of attitude is quite frustrating. read more

I had two silk ladies blouses cleaned, no stains or peculiar problems. I took them in at 2 p.m and was told they wouldn't be ready until 4 p.m. the following day ( noon cut off for one hour) OK! I returned to a bill of $35! I thought there must be a mistake, perhaps they had charged me for three? No ... just 2, but they had elected to sew two buttons on $5. Nice. I still thought the price for dry cleaning was very high. So I called around to the three dry cleaners in our area, Ablitts (Green) St Paul's, Montecito, and California dry cleaners. All excellent. They quoted me $9 to $11 per ladies silk blouse ( the longer ones would be $11). I called Martinizing back, this time I asked to speak to the manager. I mentioned the competitions quote? I asked again if they had been mistaken. They reiterated that no that was their price. So. Despite this NOT being a ONE hour service. You are paying the premium anyway if you don't deliver before NOON. read more

Wish I had read the reviews first. Absolutely awful service. From the greeting, to finding out I'm a new customer, to asking if they would call me with a reminder about my clothes being ready. Non-stop attitude, and absolutely unpleasant person working behind the counter. So I'll take my $200 order elsewhere, with better service, no plastic, and reusable wooden hangers. read more

I used this place for years. Brought in my wedding dress - which was just a simple elegant white dress - no bodice, no train or extra trimming. The low-taker attendant who had the worst demeanor asked me something I didn't hear - I thought she said "do you want it detailed". I replied, no just a basic clean I've already been wed and mentioned it was my wedding dress. I returned to pick it up and they charged me $300. I asked why and she said because it's a "wedding dress", I should have never mentioned it as they wouldn't have known. I felt scammed as they charged triple what they charge for my other dresses, simply because it was off-white and I happened to mention it was my wedding dress. I see they did the same to another woman. Stay way from this place at all costs. They are the worst in customer service and scam longterm clients. read more

I did not have a good experience here. This place was way overpriced; I paid roughly $10-$12 per sweater (I had the same sweaters cleaned in LA for less than half that). On top of that, everything I had cleaned there reeks now! I have to get all my sweaters cleaned AGAIN at another dry cleaner because they stink so bad I can't wear any of them. I would have taken my stuff back but didn't realize the smell until a week or two later when I went to wear one of the sweaters and figured they would tell me it was my own fault. Save your money and time - go somewhere else. read more

AVOID this cleaner at all cost. Their prices are extremely high, and some of their charges are pure rip offs. Napkins for $8.25 each. When challenged on unposted hidden charges and exorbitant prices, the clerks are surly. "Diane" the proprietor, who also has State Street Cleaners, is unresponsive. read more

A fortune. Sweater returned with the stain on the cashmere, twice as bad as it was, one pair of pants pressed only, and a jacket. $69. Avoid. I am sure their rent is sky-high at the Montecito Mart, and so they must charge that, but how will rents every get reduced to a correct amount unless the retailers fight back, or leave? I only go here because its on the way home. Thier prices are super high and not at all competitive. If St Pauls was not so out of the way I would go there for sure. 1/2 the price. I understand charging a premium for same day service. But not $8.00 for one shirt because it had fake pearl buttons on it. I think the only reason the survive is its location , being in a higher income area and its next to Vons and the Freeway. read more

This is the worst dry cleaners I have ever been to!!! Not only did I pay $309 to have my clothes dry cleaned (most expensive place ever) they didn't clean anything! It appears they just steamed my clothes. I had wool blazers and silk blouses and they still smelled like sweat and had deodorant stains underneath the arms. When I confronted the two young girls who work there they humiliated me! They both smelled under each underarm of my garments in front of everyone and said because the smell is so pungent they weren't able to get it out. That has NEVER happened to me in my lifetime! I get my clothes dry-cleaned all the time and always had success. The only reason I went here was because I moved to Montecito and it was convenient. I had them re-clean everything again and they did not do anything! Still had the same smell, actually smelled worse and same deodorant stains. When my husband picked up my clothes the two same girls were there with no manager (like last time) and he confronted them about the dirty garments and they said they can't help The fact that I have a problem with my under arm odor and they could try spraying Fabreez on my clothes! He took the clothes back asked for a manager and once again she was not there. I took my clothes to Ablitts In Santa Barbara and paid another $300 and my clothes were perfectly clean and smelled fresh. I called the manager for a week solid never received a call back. My last attempt she was finally there and did not care at all and said there was no way she would refund me and could not help the fact that I had a odor problem, which I do not. I have never been so ripped off and embarrassed in my life. I hope they go out of business soon. read more
