I was looking for a place that had expertise in dry cleaning black tie clothing. I think they did a good job.

This review is only for the cobbler experience I had (not for dry cleaning). In April, I took my…read more20-year old red patent leather pumps to get new soles because the old ones were crumbling off. I chose to go here because of the good cobbler reviews and the location was convenient. I picked them up 5 days later and when I got home saw that significant damage had been done to the uppers of my shoes and the soles that had been applied were already coming off and were smeared onto the bottom of the shoe. Even the heel caps were unsecured. The damage to my shoes had been covered in red shoe polish, which came off when I touched it. I was devastated. These shoes were a gift from my husband early in our relationship and are my favorite. They are not replaceable and have high sentimental value. I called the store and they did acknowledge that they knew something had happened to the shoes, but didn't tell me. They gave me the cobbler's information and I left him a message. When we talked on the phone he said he had sanded the upper because it had gotten some of the old sole on it and then covered it up with the polish. He said he could make it right. I went back to the store and talked to the cobbler in person. At this point, I didn't have a lot of trust in his judgment given that he didn't fix the original damage when it happened and didn't tell me what had happened. After a bit of back and forth, I asked for a refund. He said the owner would cut me a check. I also asked for compensation for fixing and/or replacing my shoes, but he insisted he could fix it. Given the lack of judgment and lack of honesty and accountability, I refused. I had to follow up with The Cleaners twice about the refund check only to find out that they had directly credited my original form of payment, but no one communicated with me about any of it. I ended up taking the damaged shoes to Dardano's in the hopes that they could repair the damage and they were amazing. I should have gone there in the first place (they were appalled at what had happened to my shoes). I cannot recommend Frank the cobbler here at The Cleaners and suggest extreme caution depending on what you need.

However, my family and I have had only positive, if not glowing, things to say about this Dependable Cleaners location close to County Line and Quebec. We have been bringing our dry-clean-only items here about once a year for the past several years (the types of comforters and nice blouses that are truly dry-clean-only that you only need to be cleaned once in a while) and have had nothing but fantastic results. I'm a 28-year-old who grew up in the Denver area and has since moved to the San Francisco Bay area in CA but even I still save my dry-clean items to bring to this location whenever I visit home 2-3 times a year. My most recent visit was 2-3 weeks ago when I was in CO and my adult siblings and I were helping my mother to declutter her home. We had four very high-quality Pendleton wool blankets (Pendleton is often a staple brand in Native American households, which describes my family and me) that had not been cleaned in decades. I took them into this location and worked with Nicole who told us when we could expect the items to be ready. Nicole helped me identify which coupon would apply to this order and when I picked up my family's blankets, they were beautiful! The colors were so vibrant and bright and the quality of the wool had not changed. Nicole was there to finish up the transaction and we paid about $65 (including the 40% off coupon) for the items, which is about what I had expected to pay for high-quality wool items such as these. My family and I will continue to go back to this location until we no longer live in the area - which I hope is never! Thank you to Nicole and Dependable Cleaners for your excellent customer service and high-quality dry cleaning!

However, since a corporate policy apparently involve consumer gouging and clandestine extortion. I thought everyone should know!!! Brought some "laundry" in to be washed...two sheets, two comforters, a blanket and a matress cover...just to be washed(ok, and dried) Something I could/would do in larger commercial machines for probably $20-30. However, we were headed out of town that day, and an elderly cat had a bladder accident. Anyway, I drop off the load, no questions asked. I'm thinking maybe $50-$70 bucks... 10 days after I dropped them off, and without a promised call... $240 is what they charged me!!!! FOR LAUNDRY!!!!!!!!!! I asked the Manager what the deal was, she politely told me it was policy NOT to give price quotes, and they didn't think who knew and didn't know there pricing, so they'd rather not quote.....WHAT????? Anyway...Buyer beware!! Dependable Cleaners...you will never see another dime of mine...and I dropped off 5-7 shirts a week for dry cleaning...Amazed you're still around with business practices like that!!!
