While there were a few that seemed worth trying, Sun Ray Dry Cleaning did stand out and I figured I would try this place. I ran over one afternoon to drop off a brand new suit jack. The person who meet me was Simon who was a very nice younger guy that just was a pleasure to talk to. I told him the stain was either had a lamb or olive oil and that I didn't exactly what it was. The stain happened at a wedding and to be honest I think someone bumped into me which was why I didn't know exactly what it was and I think the methods change depending on what the stain is. The stain was pretty large, and I was worried that it was to late. He said they would try their best and they might be able to get it out. A few days later I got a text that my garment was ready and when I picked it up, the stain was completely gone. He said they did have to treat it several times but they got it completely out. I couldn't be happier. They will have my business for the foreseeable future as this was such a great experience and I have been looking for a good dry cleaner for a while now. As a side note, you do pay for your garment when you drop it off. Something that I haven't really done before but it isn't a bother. Just if you pay cash that might be good to know.

Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The seamstress was not there when I dropped of the coat, they said that she will look and see if she can fix it and let me know by phone. I then find out that she "fixed" my coat without consulting me first, claiming the repair was necessary for the dry cleaning process. In doing so, she actually made the tear worse and ended up ruining the coat. When I tried to address the issue with the staff, the situation only got worse. The employees became defensive, rude, and belligerent. The interaction escalated to the point where I felt uncomfortable and unsafe in the store, as two male associates were behaving aggressively. I haven't even evaluated the quality of the dry cleaning yet, but at this point it's hard to say the service was worth the cost of a ruined $400 coat and the unpleasant treatment I received. It's especially disappointing because I had hoped I'd found a reliable dry cleaning and tailoring service close to home.

They do a great job and are one of the cheapest cleaners around here. Most recently, I brought in two winter coats to be cleaned and it cost me $27. I regularly entrust them with both my bright white trench and my cream-colored pea coat and they always come back in perfect condition. The owner is very knowledgeable and offers honest advice/suggestions, even if it costs him business. For example, I brought in a leather belt after wearing it to a fish market. (It reeked. Ugh.) He suggested that rather than cleaning it, I just air it out for a few days to see if the smell went away naturally. Since I'd already tried it, I told him I still wanted it cleaned. They don't do their own leather cleaning; they send it out once a week. So he goes, "How much are you willing to spend to clean it? It may just be cheaper to get a new one." We agreed on a maximum price ($10) and he said that if it was going to cost more than that, he would just hang on to it and give it back when I picked up my other clothes. I moved to another town a few years ago, but I still make the drive to this cleaner because I trust them so much. Last thing: All of their cleaning is buy-one-get-one-half-off, so it's in your best interest to bring in two (or four or six ... ) items at a time.
