Odd experience. They make up the price based on what they think they can extract from you. They came out, quoted $800 to clean a rug I'd had previously cleaned for $300, and I was so shocked by the price being so high that I politely declined. The cleaner kept dropping the price as I explained it was cheaper to buy a new rug. He kept dropping the price and would not leave as I kept declining, until he reached $300 and I felt like I had to "give in." Then when it was time to pay I had to give my detailed credit card info on speaker phone where the cleaner was listening, to a person I'd never met. If this sort of thing stresses you out (it did for me) or you prefer want transparent, fair pricing I would not be able to recommend them. read more

Encountered one of the strangest and most bizarre experiences with this vendor. I found them online and called inquiring about getting 2 of our area rugs deep cleaned. Kevin called me back, and right off the bat starts to tell me "We are a professional company -- and any professional company should offer a deep clean." Through the rest of my 8 minute conversation he used the word "professional" multiple times, automatically leading me to think that they're anything but that! Next, I ask him about the process they use to deep clean, to which his only response was "we can take your rugs on-site." When I proceeded to inquire about the approximate price for a deep clean, he responds by saying "Any professional company would need to send someone to see the rugs before quoting you the price." Totally something that is not true, as I've spoken to at least 6 other vendors who were all able to give me an approximate price range and explain the process too. When I inquired about having someone come out to see the rugs, Kevin says there's a $100 deposit required to get on their calendar. Upon inquiring whether it will be refunded after the appointment, I'm informed that the $100 is to cover the time, gas and labour charges for whoever comes out, should we decide not to proceed with them... this to me is NOT a deposit, but a fee. Lastly, when I tell him that I'll get back to him, he says "If you have to shop around for vendors, we're not a match... go bless somebody else." This was said by a business owner even BEFORE they've met someone looking to work with them. Kevin and his son came to my house to do an estimate for half of my hallway and one bedroom. There were stains and someone just moved out of one bedroom, it was pretty filthy. We agreed to the estimate even though It seemed overpriced for only one room and half a hallway. They worked quick and he was somewhat pushy about getting it done. I should've asked to take a minute to think about the estimate before agreeing, so that's my fault. The reason I took off stars is because the stains in the hallway and bedroom they said they could remove were still there and seemed confident about it. Poor business practices, and overpriced. I hired them for a move-out carpet clean. When I called for a quote they said around $350 and shouldn't be more than $425. The carpet was in good condition, and had been vacuumed already by house cleaners. When the carpet cleaners got there the price changed to $600-$700. I feel that they high-balled me to raise the price. How could one hour of carpet cleaning cost $700? I was moving out that night and didn't have the flexibility to say no and hire someone else. They wound up doing 1hr and 15min of work. When I called the owner/manager to discuss he told me if I didn't like the price, I should have tried to negotiate, and shouldn't have signed the paper.
