This was my first time trying the food truck. I ordered the chicken (one time) with fries. It comes served with pita; I was unsure on what to get but people told me you can never go wrong with the steak or chicken. It was delicious, but what's really commendable is how personable Chef K is and how great he is in remembering everyone's order without writing it down. I really don't know how to describe the food or the taste of it because it was covered in his special sauce (get that!) It's a food truck. But it's not a food truck. Kendrick takes pride in what he serves and always strives to better his menu. I've been here around 10 times now and tried almost everything on the menu that isn't a salad, and it is all great. It's hard to pick a favorite but if I absolutely had to I'd probably go with the filet on pita with Gouda & bacon. read more

I pass by this truck everyday coming home from work on Old Fannin Rd. Seeing that he sold filet mignon kind of held me back from trying it out. I thought since he served filet mignon, it would be at filet mignon prices, I didn't want to pay a lot for food truck quality food. I had a late day at work and was exhausted, so thought, why not? We ordered the grilled bourbon filet mignon pita, grilled bourbon chicken pita and a crab cake sandwich with fries. To my surprise, the prices were reasonable, and definitely not food truck quality. Pita was big, chicken and steak were cooked perfectly. Filet was so tender, literally melted in my mouth. My bf loved the chicken and we both really enjoyed the crab cake. The crab cake had a ton of fresh crabs, but because it was also on a soft bun, the texture was very one note. It would be better if it had a little crunch, maybe with some slaw? Tip: If you're going to try a few different things, try different proteins and don't get everything bourbon haha. We liked the crab cakes, chicken and steak but because we got everything bourbon, we were bourbon overload haha. He usually parks across from Christway on Old Fannin Rd. Service was amazing, a little wait, but it's fresh so it's totally worth it. He has daily specials and seems to change up his menu, so ask for his specials. read more

Really? 5 stars on Yelp? You bet! Kendrick, the owner is one amazing guy and his food is even better. He found out it was our first visit and before we could even order, he gave us samples of his steak fingers, chicken, fried mashed potatoes and amazing crab cakes. I would not consider this health food but he does have healthy chicken and vegetarian options. We were in full carnivore mode on this visit. We ordered blackened grilled chicken, grilled chicken pita and the filet mignon - yes, filet mignon - from a food truck. It was served over the most amazing homemade mashed potatoes - these weren't fried. The sauce that was poured on top was so good! This is not surprising - after all, Kendrick studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and his sauces are killer. His truck is on Old Fannin and it's easy to miss. He's on the West side of the road in an open field. Currently, it's not well lit but he's working on that. We got 3 amazing meals for just over $35. Talking with Kendrick and the other patrons was the icing on the cake. He is a passionate soul who appreciates his customers and works very hard for your business. Truly an amazing meal! This is literally my favorite place to eat. Yes, it's a food truck and yes, there's usually a wait - but all of that is worth it for the best food in town. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have loved all of it. Kendrick is an amazing chef who puts in so much hard work to make his menu top notch. First time eating here. Always see a big line of people out there on my way to work and figured we'd try. The owner is wonderfully friendly and when we pulled up, he was making samples of his specials for people to try. The food was all freshly made. We ordered the crab cake on pita bread and the red fish over mashed potatoes. Under the impression that his specials change, and his menu is pretty flexible. Easily one of the best crab cakes I've ever tried! Delicious tarragon sauce. We waited about twenty minutes but it's well worth the wait. Reasonably priced for the high quality of food! read more

Not sure where his set up is, we used him for an event. His food was perfection! Loved the chicken I got and the steak my husband ordered. There were probably around 100 people ordering in a 30 minute time span so keeping up seemed a bit slow, but I don't think anyone expected him to. We had the Grilled Filet and mashed potatoes and fresh green beans covered in Tarragon sauce. This Chef is an expert on sauces. It was perfection. The steak was tender and cooked exactly medium rare. Got the rib eye sandwich and filet. Amazing! The rib eye was tender and the one guy sauce on top of the fries added a nice zesty flavor. Everything was cooked to perfection and the portion sizes were just right. The filet came with fried mashed potatoes and it was melt in your mouth goodness. I don't think I ever had potatoes that good before. He is usually parked across from Christway on Old Fannin Rd. Arrived around 7pm and there were a bunch of people waiting. We decided to give this place a try because the reviews were so positive. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to hype. The place advertises that the truck opens at six, this wasn't the case last Friday night as he didn't start taking orders until 6:35. Normally I would've left but I had my heart set on steak and chicken. Despite the fact that I was one of the first cars to pull up I somehow found myself at the back of the line. Not a good start but nothing some excellent food couldn't make up for right?!? Well, the flavor was certainly there but the texture of the steak was similar to eating beef jerky. The chicken had a great smoke flavor but again a little dried out. The soggy fries were thrown on top and lathered with sauce which I didn't mind but would've liked the option to have it on the side. On a positive note the owner knowing I was a new customer threw in some fried steak fingers. These were absolutely delicious. I will probably give him another try as I'm well aware that everyone cannot always be at their best. read more
