Just a note for your "loss prevention team" …read more.. If you're going to follow a customer down not one but two aisles, pretending like you're putting away go backs, please act more convincing lol for your own sake. I don't really like this Marshalls/Home Goods, I feel like I can never find the products I'm looking for compared to other M/HG combo stores, but it was late & I was trying to find some last minute items to set up a guest bedroom for a guest this weekend. Mostly, bedding. I used the bathroom when I first walked into the store, & put my EMPTY cart off to the side because I hadn't begun shopping yet. I came out of the bathroom, and zipped my small cross body bag back up because I had just put eye drops in because I suffer from severe dry eye. Guess they didn't like that I zipped my purse because then I saw two employees following me and watching me in the bedding aisle. And then one of them walked down the aisle, picked up a sheet set from the top shelf and then put it right back down & continued watching me. I'm curious- where exactly did you expect me to shove a king sized sheet set into my purse that can barely hold my wallet and keys? At this point, I had a toilet bowl brush in my cart, so I'm obviously shopping... so again, why were we tailing me?

I needed to return a few items to HomeGoods and this is the location that is local to me so I…read moredecided to stop in. They're a HomeGoods /Marshalls combo in a large shopping plaza so there's plenty of parking. Upon walking in the store is pretty bright and it's clearly signed which side is HomeGoods. The thing I appreciated most about this HomeGoods was that while it was nice and in-stock it was no where near as overwhelmingly stuffed with product as most of the other HomeGoods I've recently visited. This had the perfect amount of in-stocks and allowed a pleasant shopping experience without overcrowded aisles. I was able to find sooooo much that I needed and wasn't able to find in other HomeGoods like storage options (which were on clearance YAY), a salad spinner (yup I'm old school lol) and other really beautiful decor. The checkout line was short and the cashier I had was really awesome! I wish I recalled her name bc I would love to shout her out. She processed my returns and new transaction and packed my items with such care. She was also so very naturally friendly and made me smile. (For the sake of her getting the recognition she deserves if it helps she has a caramel brown skinned complexion, long dark brown/ black hair that's pretty straight, is beautiful and has an amazing smile and personality) . I told my friends that they need to visit this HomeGoods because it's just that great. And I realized I didn't take many pictures ... so I've got to visit again to do the store justice with photos :)

The furniture seemed really…read morewell priced and in good condition, unfortunately I don't live nearby or else I would've bought a couch I saw. The clothes were cool, lots of shoes. I also found some treasures in the home goods section. They have a pretty good selection of formal dresses from the 80s to current. I definitely snagged a couple to try to sew into some sort of costume. The staff were really friendly and so were the other customers. A really nice experience!

They are closing at the end of April, 2024 and moving across the street according to a post on their Facebook page. There are still a few pieces of furniture deeply discounted (bookshelves for $25.00), a couple racks of clothes and some kitchen items, hangers, toys still for sale but beware... the offerings are exceptionally few. The shop is nearly empty, and the staff seem preoccupied enough to even notice you are there. From Sloan's Thrift Facebook page: Exciting News! Sloans thrift will be closing its doors and relocating across the street to its new location next to the new Planet Fitness (old rite aid location or for better clarity, near Ollie's. This move is already in process. Even thought the idea saddens us, we are looking forward to a bigger location. The plan is to close up last week in April and reopen May1st. More updates will come as things progress but just remember now Bristol will have 2 great thrifts stores in one great location!

Walmart won! This is a super center with 2 entrances and a massive parking lot. Walking into the store you must go through what I would say are similar to the metal entryways at amusement parks ... I'm assuming it's for theft prevention given you can't exit through them. Fresh produce is the section you literally walk into so I was able to grab my lemons and take a quick spin in a few other sections just to snap a few pics and I must say the sales floor was really neat and there were actually employees available if you needed help. And checkout was a breeze with no waiting ... tons of registers open and self checkout was smooth too. I had no idea Walmart didn't accept any tap to pay options so I actually had to open my purse to get my credit card out which was slightly annoying lol. All in all a smooth trip to a place I never shop and I had to give them a fair rating because they deserve it based on my experience.
