Stopped in with some friends for one of this bar's trivia nights. The vibe was cool but I don't see myself stopping in for anything other than maybe some fun trivia. Only because the food was very.....very salty. My friends said that salty things usually make people want to drink more so maybe that's why it was overly salted but.. no.. I prefer an edible meal. Let's not play with the food. The fries were hot and fresh but yet so salty that I couldn't even eat them. Parts of my burger were even very salty. The bar area is warm and cozy which was nice for this chilly Chicago area day. Our bartender John acknowledged us right away and we immediately felt welcomed. They also have a happy hour Tuesday through Friday from 2-5pm which includes some value pricing on beer and wines with a $10 smash burger deal. This last visit on a Sunday was baaaaaad! I hate to write them a bad review but none of the good staff was here today and the cooks in the kitchen were the worst. Cold fries that were sent back and all they did was microwave them so they were rock hard when brought back out. I sent them back again and requested they be taken off the bill. Chicken wings with feathers that were cooked hard. Requested sauce on the side and of course it came out on the wings. Parmesan wing sauce is gross do not get it. Bbq, buffalo, or sweet chili are the best imo. We get the bill and there's 2 beers on there that we didn't order. Also the kitchen staffs family was here so while my food was cold and took forever to come out they continued to cater to one table in a crowded place on a bears game day. We came here after doing a long walk/hike not too far away. Most of us got a flight. The bartender was super friendly and answered our many questions about the beers before we decided. It also has a large outdoor space (inside is spacious too) and live music at times (there was a guy setting up when we were finishing up). Took off a star because the beer was good but not great. None of the beers made me say "this is really good" and I expect at least 1 of the 4 to do that. I go to a decent number of craft breweries and whether I'd want to take some home - of at least 1 - is a good indicator of really good beer. They also served the flights in small plastic cups. Which I kinda understand but also that's pretty wasteful and a bit tacky for a flight of craft beer. I'd come back more for the vibes and maybe try a few different beers. read more

Cute place with a good selection of beers and house made drinks. I love the sangria here during the winter time but not so much of a fan of white wine so it wasn't as good as I wished it would be. It's like an old trucking transportation garage that was transformed into a brewery which is neat. Decent place to just hang out during the week to catch up over a drink. I absolutely love this neighborhood brewery! The beers are pretty great here. I am a dark beer kinda girl so I'm a fan of the crawlspace (a porter) and whatever imperial stout they have on rotation. The last imperial stout was a maple pecan and it was amazing! Tasted exactly what you believe a maple pecan stout would taste like. The bartenders are friendly and will give you tips on what to try if you are not really a beer drinker and they also have other cocktails as well. I'm talking waiting about 10 to 15 minutes for your drink order when there's literally only 6 other people in the place. See before they stated serving food if you were sitting at a table with your friends you just walked up to a section of the bar that had a "order here" sign hanging above it... you walked up to it, bartender would take your order, you gave them money or started a tan, they poured your beer, handed it to you, and you walked back to your table and drank it... that simple... whole process took maybe 2 minutes. Now though if you sit a table you have to place your drink order with your server, there is no more walking up to the bar and getting your drink. Now you're relying on a waiter to get it for you and now it take way longer.. i understand they wanna serve food but come on let me just at least go to the bar and get my drinks though. The staff here is so amazing. My boyfriend went in our first date here during covid and we didn't know their beers. Because they weren't doing flights they were kind enough to give us small sips of beers we thought we wanted to try! Love this place. The staff and bartenders are the best you will find. Superb find on a Saturday evening heading back from southwest of Chicago back home. I felt fortunate because most breweries close by 9 or 10 pm, and all bars in Chicago close at 10, and it was already a little past 10. I missed the turn and parked next door, and was pleasantly surprised at the really gorgeous courtyard area out front. Love the design, the overhead sweeping stretched coverings, the brickwork. Inside was just as well designed. The bar was the highlight, a spectacular gem that the owner and his son harvested from a nearby tree. I saw a few people disappear out the back door, thinking they had left. Then a couple came back, then went back outside...I followed and discovered a huge open space out back with an excellent live band, tables widely spread, view of the heavens, happy chatter of people playing bags nearby accompanying the music. Had a brew from them at the Lake Katherine Event today; then went to the brewery. Had some Indian food from the truck which was really good. However, the server, a large girl working the bar, was very rude and unpleasant-us she related? She shouldn't be working here if she dislikes people that much. I visit craft breweries as a hobby. At the time of this writing, I believe that One Allegiance Brewing was 186 on my list of visited breweries. First, it's a convenient location to visit with ample parking and a large tap room in an independent building away from an industrial park. They have tasteful decor and high ceilings. They have a large tent beer garden in the back of the establishment for more seating. My host and bartender was part of the brewing family and could speak to its history, beer choices and their future plans. I felt very welcomed and she could not have been nicer or display more authenticity. The beer was very good. I tried a sour and several of their trademark beers including a wheat and a lager. Very clean finish to each selection. My only complaint would be that the Wi-Fi did not work, but as I told her at my exit, it was somewhat good as it gave me an opportunity to talk to her and learn about the brewery. I bought a glass and a half growler which is my way to better support the business. I would highly recommend a visit. If I were in the area, I would return. read more

A very nice job with the outside areas during COVID. A spacious patio up front, and a yard area with "bags" in the back. Really enjoy the Blood Orange brew. And there are cocktails for the non-beer drinkers. My wife ordered the Beach Bum, and she enjoyed it so much we made a second trip. A nice location, but parking can get a little tight. There is a strip mall next door, but watch the first step if you walk over. They do food trucks, but not all the time, and you can order in for delivery. One Allegiance is a great spot to try out some local beers. They have an extensive list of both beer and cocktails, plus the place is huge and has a great atmosphere. If you're looking for a spot to stop in the summer, they have a really awesome outdoor area with tables and string lights. Highly recommend trying their Coconut Rambler American stout and the Tropic Breeze DDH Midwest IPA. If you prefer cocktails, all of the ones I've tried were amazing. read more

New brewery (at least for me, I only just heard about it this month) that is especially beneficial given the covid situation since it has a huge amount of outdoor seating, possibly the most of any brewery that I've been to since they began to reopen. There's 2 big sections of outdoor seating, both in front and out back, some are makeshift tables/chairs added to the grass but they're still comfortable and work, and you're able to maintain social distance. There's also plenty of space for live music if they ever decide to bring some in. It's also good just to have a big craft brewery in the SW burb area, as there aren't too many near there. It's easy to get to, right on Harlem Ave. (also the name of one of their beers, and a good one at that) and they have their own parking lot. They have multiple beers on tap, the usual variety of styles so something for everyone, and most if not all, can be put in a crowler/growler for you to take home. Next time I'm down in the area I'll def try and visit again. read more
