I had thought it was going to be with some buffalo sauce, but balanced, as the menu simply describes it as "tenderized pork loin, panko fried, buffalo sauce, Caeser salad, bacon, blue cheese" But unfortunately it came out with at least a 1/4 cup of Frank's Red Hot drenching the top of the meat. We finally got some Porto (after he came back to the table with 2 options / bottles in hand--all things considered, the Port was great). We finally ordered the Truffled Hummus (nothing truffled about it, it looked and tasted like store-bought hummus). We actually knew the taste was not going to be great at all by the bread that first came out - old bread, just heated. And incredibly yeasty dough. Not good. The Seafood Fra Diablo was a joke - it had frozen small shrimp in it and the TINIEST scallops I have ever seen. See the pictures. My husband and I both had the salmon--the entire dish was incredibly oily. Overall for the quality and taste, the place was overpriced too. We skipped the desert and called it a night. 2 Stars because I think the fireplace was amazing and the Port and the clam chowder was really good. This was a special occasion (just for two) with my dining companion coming from far out of state, so I (the local) had checked out numerous familiar venues in the Mad River Valley, including Rumble's, at which we had enjoyed so many meals in that spectacular setting in the past. I was impressed by the very reasonable prices on Rumble's new menu. We actually stopped by that afternoon to inquire whether the online menu = tonight's, and it was the same, so we went and had a delicious meal and a wonderful experience. We especially loved our server, Debra, and fully appreciated what, in today's world of fine casual dining, were very affordable prices.

My spouse had a quesadilla that was fresh, hot, and tasty. For beverages, I had iced tea that tasted freshly made. My spouse had a smoked lager that he tells me was the best beer he'd had in Vermont. It was dark, smoky, and slightly sweet. The place seemed a bit understaffed, but the guy who seated us and took our orders was pleasant and helpful. The wait for food wasn't bad at all. As for ambiance, the place is a rustic bar in a strip center. There's a pool room and video arcade attached. There's outdoor seating available.

Also, the owner was super nice and our service frequently checked in on us. Great staff and establishment and I will definitely be back in the future!
