Don't go its a waste of time I took a whole garbage bag full of clothes with brand new shoes they took 3 hrs to look through it and they said they wanted 11 items for $14.05 and they were all brand new items I don't think so I'll pass on that one last time I went they gave me $5 for 8 items really I was desperate and needed the money so I took it but not this time just have a garage sale you will get more money like that. My husband and I went into once upon a child after hearing good things about it on a pregnancy app I have. I'm 36 weeks and am wanting to have everything set for when my daughter arrives, but I haven't been able to find a cute enough coming home outfit. We walked in, and from that moment, the 3 girls at the counter were rude. No acknowledgment of us being there, just talking amongst themselves in a manner very unfit to be around children. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for adult conversations, but not at a kid's store. Upon looking around, we saw that this store was very messy and unkempt, as well as many items that looked dirty from staining or still had dog hair on them, for full price! No thanks! I'm a bargain shopper, but to pay what they are asking, I will get something brand new and have the peace of mind to know my daughter won't get sick from touching it. read more

Wow. Horrible experience. My wife sends me to bring in our childs clothes to see what would be offered. I was told I would be next and would take around 15 minutes. So after an hour and 15 minutes, I get a text that my offer was ready. 7 dresses for $8!! So I wasted all this time for this! Shawn was the associate who took care of me and she was so nice and sweet. She made me feel comfortable and she also made me want to go home and dig up more clothes just to come back to this location to sell. I've been here 3 times, the clothes, shoes and toys are always organized and the isles are clear. I stopped by the other night and watched 2 ladies throw clothes on the floor in the middle of the isle because they didn't have the courtesy to place them back on the pole where they found the clothes in the first place. I was a little annoyed because my daughter was in her stroller, clearly they saw us coming down the isle.. so I picked the clothes up off the floor and placed them back on the pole for them. I can't be upset with the staff, it's not their fault, so if things are unorganized, clothes are on the floor and in your way, blame the customers that were there before you. Cris and Alyssa give great customer service, very welcoming, patient and willing to drop what they're doing to help. Because of the great customer service I have received by them, I will continue to shop here. However, I strongly dislike Maria. She was very rude, short with words, and I felt like I was bugging her the minute I walked in with 2 small plastic bags of clothes. Which the sizes were in order by the way and neatly folded. Just to make her job easy. Maria told me she will only take the clothes that are a matching set and to be back at 5pm. Ok. No problem. I came back, she wasn't there but Cris told me Maria was only able to take a shirt. I had a very confused look on my face and told Cris "from what I was told.. Maria told me she will take the clothes that are a matching set... a lot of the clothes are gently used or not used at all and most the clothes are a matching set... Oh and the one shirt Maria chose out of the entire 2 plastic bags has the matching pants that she obviously missed, but the pants are in there, I promise." Cris was a huge help, she went back in the bags and bought multiple outfits and onesies from me. As I was watching her buy the clothes in, I noticed that Maria had all of my daughters old outfits just thrown in there like they weren't sh**. I DID NOT give Maria my daughters old clothes that way, so if she refuses to take them, so be it, but at least fold them all back and organize it the way I gave it to her. Cris organized it for me and apologized for Maria. I will shop when Cris is there, if I see Maria I will walk out. read more

This store made me feel like I was in an episode of hoarders! Completely disorganized and overflowing with stuff. They also do not have shopping carts, so nowhere for a shopping parent to place their child, but have signs posted everywhere that you shouldn't let your kids play with their stuff! Also, when I went about a month ago there were signs posted stating this franchise is for sale, so maybe it will turn around under a new owner. read more

Total waste of time. They make you feel like the clothes you brought in was horrible and give you all these excuses like it's out of style, yet I'm going through their racks filled with Garanimals and Carter's. They are packed full too because I'm sure no one is buying the junk they are selling. Their shoe selection is disgusting. Whoever is doing their buying needs to be re-trained or fired. They turned away Gap, Tea, Gymboree, and other name brands. Seriously never going back there again. They're staff is so rude and looks like they have stink eye Iol. The customer service is horrible. I dropped the clothes off in the morning and in the afternoon (250pm) I called at least 10 times with no answer. I drove all the way to the store just to be told the items I was selling still had not been looked at yet and wasn't going to be looked at until the items in front of it. The original time I was given was 2. The ladies working were really rude about it as well. I feel that they did not handle this situation very well. I will not be coming back. read more

Today was my first time to sell to this store. I gathered up quite a bit of stuff my son has either outgrown or no longer plays with. As the employee recommended when I called, I brought my items in as soon as they opened at 10. I was given a return time of 2:45 to pick up my offer / leftovers. My offer was ready on time and I feel the money offered was fair. The biggest plus being that I got the stuff out of my house, got money for it, and did not have to have a garage sale. The items they declined to buy either had stains that I missed, or had quite a bit of wear. I'm glad I found this store and plan to use them frequently when purging my items. I only wish there was a store like this to buy my no-longer-needed household items! read more

There is no real appraisal process. They pretty much just give you a dollar per item regardless of the brand, condition, and type of item. I dropped off a box of brand name clothing like Polo, Jack and Jill, etc. When I came back, she told me they accepted 64 items so she will give me $62 and some change. If you're considering selling your items here, don't bother. It's a joke. Took in two full bags of CLEAN, some still with tags, baby girl clothing and made $9. And that was after waiting for two hours. They should have accepted more because much of the clothing on the racks to be sold looked very worn. Not speaking out of frustration, just being honest. absolute worst service. we went in last night to try and sell baby clothes, we were told to come back tomorrow because they'd quit buying for the day. their hours are 10 am to 8 pm. it is 2 pm and they have quit buying. that is absolutely ridiculous. never will I go there again. read more

I've been to this store a few times to sell stuff and have been more and more disappointed each time. The staff is rude, condescending, and slow. Most of the baby gear I brought in was barely used, yet they lowballed me on the offering prices. My stuff was in much better shape than the items they had for sale, yet they declined more than half of the items. There's really no rhyme or reason for what they accept and what they reject, at least not a good explanation the employees have ever been able to give me. Their for sale items were not good values either, considering the condition they were in. I'd rather sell on eBay or donate my items to my children's daycare or to the Salvation Army rather than waste my time coming back to this store again. read more

I used to shop and sell here but the last few years it has changed drastically. Long waits, very little help onthe sales floor and attitude galore. Toys/electronics were broken or did not work, clothes missing buttons, stains or busted zippers. I realize it's a resale shop so you get what you pay for but there are many BETTER options in the Houston area. read more

This store wasted 4 hours and 41min of my thankgiving eve day off work! I took some clothes and toys there, It took them over half a day to tell me to come in and get a quote for my items. When I got there they only wanted three or four of the shoes. They told me they would only give me $7.70 for 3-4 pair of unused baby shoes, I told them it cost me more than $7 dollars to drive there, so keep your $7. I could tell they didn't even sort thru the clothes good. The staff was very rude!!! I took all of my clothes and toys back with me! They don't even deserve a star in my book! I am not sure why I have gone back to this store more than once, I don't think I will again. The employees are very rude. When I bring my items in to sell, they tell me I have to wait in the store. They say an hour to an hour & a half however once before that wait time turned into almost 3 hours. Needless to say I was livid. This time I was told an hour to an hour & a half again. I told them I would be back as I didn't want to wait that long (mind you there are NO chairs to sit in while waiting) and the manager informed me that I would lose my place in line, even though my items were already in line to be reviewed. That makes no sense to me. She did tell me I could come back in 3 hours & if I was late that I would only get store credit, no cash & I could not sell to them again "for their inconvenience." Are you kidding me? So I can stand & wait forever and be treated rudely and THEY are inconvenienced? The manager proceeded to call everyone "baby, sweetie" which I find rude and unprofessional. They basically hold you hostage while going thru your items. There are no signs in store (or any online that I could find) that list their selling policy so you literally just go off the word of the "manager" that is normally some 25 year old with a Boss complex who I noticed talks down to the other employees as well. The concept of this store is great however the execution of it is very poorly done. Maybe they are understaffed (there were 3 employee that I saw when I was there) but the lack of a clearly listed policy, the lack of seating accommodations to those who wait and the ridiculous rules for drop off and waiting leave much to be desired. I realize they want you to shop while you are in the store waiting (which I did and made purchases) but to shop for an hour and a half at one store that has only certain amounts for items for the size you need is just stupid. I even told the manager I was going to the Style Encore (their sister store) that was just on the other side of the building, and still, they were insistent that if I left I would lose my place in line, even when I said I would be back within the hour and a half time frame they originally told me, THAT is when they told me they would not honor that hour & A half time period if I left, it would revert to the 3 hours wait and again if I was late upon returning then I could no longer sell to them and only get credit, no cash an all for their inconvenience...this store is poorly managed. they need some lessons in customer service and professionalism. Though you can find some descent items for your children there, just save yourself some time and hassle and just go buy them things that are new and donate what you don't want to those that cant afford it. This store is a complete joke and a waste of time. The staff was exceptionally rude from the beginning. There is no consensus as to why one piece of clothing is acceptable and why another is passed on. The staff did NOT go through the majority of the clothes I brought in even though we had a 3 hour wait time. Instead deciding to pick and chose what was worth their time, meaning whatever is easiest. They excepted worn in shoes, but then passed on never worn onesies and 24 month shirts. The excuse given was that the clothes were moist, an outright lie. I understand that this store is not a goodwill, and that there are standards. However, if you are going to complain that the clothes I am trying to sell are too "worn", then the clothes on your rack better look brand spankin new compared to what I have brought in and they DO NOT. Also, if the store simply has too much inventory and can not take anymore of a certain size then just say so. There is no need to lie. So just to recap the staff is exceedingly and unnecessarily rude. The store is dirty with food on the floor, and the buy back is inconsistent and subjective. read more

This place is horrible! They don't even deserve 1 star! Do not waste your time trying to sell anything here. The customer service is terrible. I took my daughter's exersaucer, bouncer, some gently worn shoes, and clothes (alot of them which still had the tags on them) and was told they weren't sure if they could buy the bouncer and the small bag of clothes I had would take until eight to be ready for pick up. It was four at the time and I live an hour away. I went outside to get the exersaucer because on my first trip in I couldn't carry it all because I had my 2 year old daughter with me. After spending 10 minutes outside putting all the toys on the top I took it in only to be told it "had too many stains". I looked at the thing 10 times before and after I was told that and I still see no stains. The employees are beyond picky and this store needs some major help.
