Once upon a Child should be ashamed for the prices which they are charging for the clothing in such poor condition . This is my first time visiting Annie once upon a child from the franchise. They're selling some of their used target and Walmart name brands at nearly full price for items which are used and lbobbled. The only positive is that everything is well organized. I hope this review can save someone else's time as I wasted mine driving across town and then searching in hopes to find some options. read more

This is a large store. They were having a really big sale when I went so everybody was shopping. I like they had Halloween stuff out for a reasonable price. The store had a lot of sizes for boys and girls and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely come back again since Christmas is coming and I would love to see the selection on holiday wear. read more

I have always loved consigning my kids clothes at OUAC but just discovered this location. The staff was amazing ! So friendly and welcoming, my little one didn't want to leave the store lol. This is much closer to me and the variety of clothing was wonderful. I found a few good jackets for winter travel all under $10! This is a great location ! read more

Absolutely NO REASON why any child wouldn't have clothes, shoes, toys, books, furniture, etc with these prices!! Young teenagers can make miracles work from here, I promise. Everything is seperate by age/size/color. Different locations are slightly different but offer the same everyday low prices and I'm not talking about Walmart cheap, I'm talking about CHEAPER!! Even named brand clothing for cheaper than Walmart prices. It's doable for all!! They're all lightly used or even brand new. Can't go wrong and sweet staff. I recommend 10/10! I definitely do not recommend this place unless you really need as little as you can get for something. I was quoted over the phone because I've never been there and they told me that they take baby items and if they're brand new which everything was then it's half of retail well that was definitely not the case and I drove over an hour away to get there and when I get there, I was offered her chump change for everything they're very unorganized as well. I'd call myself a bit of a OUAC connoisseur, with having been to at least 15 different locations between Tampa and Daytona and this location is hands down my favorite location. VERY well organized, stocked, and PRICED. it's an hour away and I still frequent it whenever I need something for my growing kiddos even over the one that is only 15 mins away from me. Their toy selection isn't the greatest but clothing wise I don't even think twice as to where I'm going shopping! Having to bring your items in a plastic bin instead of plastic bags is annoying and unnecessary. These Covid "surface tests" have been dismissed as inconsequential by the cdc. I took my items out of a bin and into some bags with handles to make it easier and safer for me to enter the store with my child then using two hands to carry a bulky bin. Waste of time. Additional notes- shoes piled up in bins cause anything of quality to deteriorate as people jostle through to shop. I've been here several times (old location and new- moved across the street) and always end up leaving with something every time for my daughter! Any parent knows how fast kids can outgrow clothing and shoes, of course I love buying new- but this is a great alternative! I've also found hard to find vintage items for her here too. For apparel/ shoes I haven't paid anymore than ten dollars for an item and typically most priced under 5 dollars! Its tricky though, you're getting such good deals it's easy to get carried away! This newer location is much larger and nicer. Wider aisles probably the biggest benefit. They carry clothing, shoes, toys, cribs and strollers. My girlfriend even found two Halloween costumes for her boy- they had a good selection. Also a decent sized book selection. One minus here is you must ask to use and be escorted to use restroom, annoying. My friend and I spent so much time shopping here it was inevitable. When I asked I noticed one of the young attendants give a scowly look, rude. The girl that escorted me however was sweet. Try this place! Fun finds without breaking the bank! Just a seven day return window for clothing so take note, also bring your own recyclable shopping bag as they dont have bags to carry out your items! read more

Not even a few seconds in and this lady tells me to leave my drink on the counter, mind you it was a smoothie with a lid on it. I asked why? And the woman stated it was because too many people have been spilling their drinks. With COVID happening this lady must have lost her mind if she thought I was going to leave my drink on a counter as I shopped, and then go back to drink it. Friends from South Korea were visiting for a month and they wanted to spend the bulk of their time shopping. During their first week here I started them off with the high end stores in the Mall of Millenia and followed up at the two outlet malls. Since the outlet malls thrilled them I thought that maybe they would get a kick out of consignment shopping. This bought us to Once Upon A Child. When I explained that we were going to a second hand store they were taken aback at the thought of buying used clothing. It took seconds for the attitude to change. The clothing at this store is impressive. They sell every item of clothing that is available in regular stores along with books, toys, strollers and so much more. These items are in perfect to near perfect condition at a fraction of the normal cost. The staff is helpful and very friendly. They even have a play area for your children. We returned to Once Upon A Child many times over the month and each time I helped them drag out countless bags of awesome "finds." I recommend this place to any parent looking to save a decent amount of money. You will not be disappointed. read more

Love this location and plan to use it plenty in the coming years. We are expecting our first child so stocking up right now is essential. I was lucky enough to happen in during a clearance sale and they had all onesies, shoes and maternity clothes as 10 for $10 mix and match! I browsed through and there was a ton of cute stuff. They have a fair number of brand name clothes - think Carter's, Cat and Jack and Baby Gap. Most pieces were in great condition, some looked unused altogether! I was able to get forty pieces in varying sizes for just forty dollars. Would have been hundreds of dollars elsewhere, easily. Staff was friendly and greeted me on my way in and told me all about the deal. At check out they helped me bag up all the items and keep enjoying organized. I've purchased clothing and toys for my son here several times now. Yesterday, for the second or possibly third time, someone on the staff was rude to me. I had come in to sell some toys and also to purchase some clothing. I was unfamiliar with their buying process, and the salesperson looked put out to have to explain it to me. I had to drag every answer out of her. In fact, the other customer there explained it to me more politely and clearly than she did. She looked and behaved like she would rather be anywhere on Earth than there serving customers. Honestly, I just don't need the attitude. I would rather go to Carter's or Kohl's, Target or Marshalls. I can buy most of these same items brand new (and attitude-free) for either the same price or $1 or $2 more per item. In fact, I saw a pair of used Carter's toddler jeans on the rack for $12. Carter's constantly has sales where I can purchase that same item NEW for the same price. Staff tip: if you don't want to be polite to strangers, then retail is not the place you should be working. read more

Shopping review (haven't sold anything here): I went in searching for a Christmas and baptism outfit for my baby boy as I couldn't justify paying 50+$ on two newborn outfits, but still wanted him to look nice. After about 20 min of rifling through dozens and dozens of clothes (mostly onesies and other knit, casual items) I put together a few cute outfits and walked out paying only $12 for a 0-3 month white button down, blue sweater vest, black and white gingham dress shirt onesie, and grey baby dress pants. A pretty good deal! I will say I think a lot of their stuff is overpriced. A single used Carters onesie for $5? Carters leggings for 10$?? You can definitely get these new for cheaper, especially on sale or in packs. If you know what you're looking for and you have price points for reference I'd say this can be a great option to reduce your carbon footprint and save some cash. read more

I was really disappointed with this store and with the experience. It took too long and they don't give a good trade value. They take forever "processing" your clothes so that you walk around for an hour filling your cart, then at checkout they value your items very low. I brought a lot of really nice name brand stuff in like new condition. They took an entire tub worth of my stuff some of which had never been worn, but only gave a credit of $15. I purchased about the same quantity from their store which totaled over $100! The most frustrating thing was when I got home and started cutting tags off the items I purchased, and a so called "set" was two items of two different sizes! One of which is too small for my child. Another item was marked 4t but was actually 24 months. Very frustrating. read more

I shop here almost exclusively for a 3 year old and 1.5 year old. They have everything imaginable for kids. I typically buy only clothing there. (Their pricing on things like strollers seems a little high for used.). But the clothes are great. Inspect carefully before you buy. I know they try to inspect everything, but some things with stains or tears occasionally slip by. But if you're careful, you can find great clothes at really bargain prices. Given how fast kids grow out of clothes, there seems to me to be no reason to buy new when I can buy used for a fraction of the price. I have even bought beautiful party dresses here. I just go frequently to make sure I get first dibs on the best stuff when it arrives. They get new stock literally every day, so there's always something new. Store is clean, well laid out, employees are friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about this store. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. Most of the clothes here for sale are stained and old, The manager here is so rude and I don't know if she is racist or what her problem is but I buy at this store often and I used to sell at this store often but once this new lady started working here she has judged me everytime and she will pass on all of the stuff I bring to sell, mind you I sell at other locations as well and they take my clothing no problem. One time the lady said she had to pass on all of the clothes because they all smell, the clothes did not smell at all, we come from a smoke free pet free home and there is absolutely no smell to the clothes or I wouldn't bring them in.... This time she said she had to pass on all of them because they are wrinkled.... Some of the clothes I brought in were brand new with tags, the others are right out of the wash and folded in a basket. This lady is just not a nice person and I would recommend going to any other location besides this one. read more

I visited Once Upon a Child for the first time last week, on a mission to sell a new stroller that my uncle gave me. I am currently expecting my first child (a boy), and received this new pink stroller that my uncle some how acquired (who knows how) without a box. My husband and I accepted the stroller, and decided that we would go ahead and sell the stroller, and eventually acquire a more gender neutral stroller. We walked into the store, filled out a form, and waited about 15 minutes to have the Graco stroller evaluated. While we were waiting, we walked around the store, and checked out their goods. The store was super clean, and did not have the usual thrift shop smell I associate with used clothes and toys. Furniture and strollers they had on display were in really good used condition or almost new. They also had some really pricey brands of strollers and furniture, including a few items from Peg-Perego at a significantly lower cost than what you would find at Babies R Us. The store also had tons of clothes, all divided by gender, color, style (formal, winter, shorts, etc), and size. Many of the clothing items (particularly the baby stuff) was brand new and unworn, with the original tags still attached. Used items all looked to be in good condition, with no fading, stains, or damage. They also had toys, new and used, as well as DVDs, and books (for parents and adults). However, this is the sort of place that you will need to scope out often , as merchandise moves quickly. While we were waiting around one gentleman sold an electric sports car toy (it looked like a mini Ferrari that a could enter and drive around the yard). and another guy who had come in to sell some baby furniture, bought itwhile he was waiting. The employees did not even have time to tag it! So the moral of the story is check this place out often, and if you're looking for a specific item call ahead, and see if they can set it aside. As for the Graco stroller we were trying to sell they looked up the current retail value, and estimated it as 50$, they then offered us 20$ cash. We took it, as our goal was to get rid of the the stroller. Either way I think I will definetly be checking this store out in the future, and definetly return periodically to sell items as well. read more

I walked in to sell something, stood there near the "Sell Your Items Here" sign (you can't stand at the counter under the sign because they have too many things cluttering up the floor) and waited. And waited. I was never acknowledged by any employee. Two employees were working sorting through bags of clothes. Finally after about 10-15 minutes of absolutely nothing, I left. Before I left I overheard someone saying that you have to leave the items for them to check them out and then you have to be back in the store by 5pm to find out whether or not they will buy your items. Complete waste of time. After a waste of 10-15 minutes I was definitely not returning at 5 (or ever again) to be told yes or no. You're better off selling on craigslist or just donating stuff at Goodwill (which I did after I left). Don't waste your time (or your money) here. Never again. Also, when I got to the parking lot, I heard another customer saying to her friends, "An hour and half for nothing. I could have been at work!" So there you go. Don't bother with this place. I love Once Upon a Child, and I have to say I'm actually kind of sad that my older kids have outgrown it. I have saved so much money shopping here! Seriously, kids grow so fast buying everything brand new isn't always practical. Traditionally I clean out our closets at the end of summer and haul everything that has survived the past year to Once Upon a Child. Whatever they don't buy I donate to Goodwill. It works out great. I make some extra spending money that I put towards clothes for the new school year. Last week it came to my attention that my 8-year old had grown again. Oh dear. Poor thing had no pants that fit. All of a sudden. (How does this happen???) So, we ran over to Once Upon a Child. I was excited because I had my frequent shopper card all filled, which is good for 15% off your purchase. We found a bunch of great jeans (all brand names like Justice and Abercrombie). When I went to check out I found out that they were running a 20% off storewide sale! Whoo-hoo! So I kept my coupon for next time and saved more than I expected. I bought 3 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of jean shorts, and 2 cute tops for around $30. Yeah, that would have been the price of one pair of jeans new from Justice. I tell all of my friends with kids to check out this store. The selection is great and the items they sell are always in great or even new condition. And if you're not crazy about buying used stuff you can earn some quick cash from all of the things your kids outgrew or never used. It's awesome! read more

I haven't sold anything here but since I was in the area I decided to come by and possibly look for some winter outfit for my infant for our upcoming trip to the North. The shop is so crammed and it kinda gave me a headache when I was looking in the infant section- too much clothes and narrow aisles. They also sell gears, toys and furnitures. The staff were only those in the counter & not much help unless during check out or selling itens. Although I did not get what I needed for my infant, I left the store with two shoes & a fleece jacket for a deal. Price for the clothes and shoes are reasonable considering that these were gently used and some are known branded. I only saw few pieces of high end infant clothes though. For me the gears, toys, travel system & some furnitures are kinda overpriced since those were used. read more

I had heard of once upon a child before but never thought of using it to donate/drop off my daughters gently used clothing. This store is in a strip mall, next to an adult resale/consignment shop and a few other businesses. The girls were nice but not overly friendly. I was told it would be about 45 min for my things to be reviewed and would receive a call once it was processed. I got $14.38! I walked in expecting nothing and left with something. Not as much as I hoped for ($20 even would've been nice) but I'm glad some things were able to be resold. Good spot for slightly used toys and shoes as well. Happy shopping! read more

I've been dealing with Once Upon a Child Stores for about 11 years now. I've had maybe just a couple of issues nothing major within that time. I recently visited this particular store, and was EXTREMELY UPSET!! I know that you won't get retail prices for your items, but for a $80 DILLARDS BRAND NEW DRESS, they wanted to offer me $6!!! They are COMPLETELY "SHARKS"!! LOWBALLERS and on top of that(my experience) RACISTS!!! I WILL NEVER VISIT THAT STORE EVER AGAIN, and also spread the word! CATASTROPHIC EXPERIENCE! read more

I love all Once Upon A Child stores. I traveled to Florida and located three locations in the Orlando area. I went to all 3 locations. Long story short they gave me $30 dollars for a $200 stroller when I asked why they said because they would only sell it for $50. The stroller was used for 4 months only. It was practically brand new no visible signs of being used. I go back to the store and it's on sale for $90! Rewind to a few weeks prior I bought a jumper from the Alafaya location. The jumperoo was missing 2 parts and cost $40-as is. Before purchasing the jumperoo I asked the manager how much I would get back if I were to bring it back in a week. I was told $15-20 depending on condition. Fast forward to a week later I went to east colonial to sell my jumperoo as I was told this location and the location on Alafaya are owned by the same owner so why would the policy be different? They told me they would give me $8 for the jumperoo because it was missing parts and would only sell it for )20-25 dollars. Which obviously is a lie since I bought it for $40 as is. I wouldn't recommend neither stores. The Once Upon A Child at the Florida Mall has way better stuff, better sales, and better buy back pricing. Don't waste your time with these thieves. read more

Wow, I have no idea why this place has such bad reviews. I work next door & make it in this place weekly. I've never once had a bad experience. I'm always in here buying something! I feel like those other reviews are fake...staff is always friendly & immediately greets you. For a "thrift store", this is the cleanest one I've ever been to, & isn't it a good thing your kids can play with the toys while you shop? Yes it is. I like that they also sell NEW Melissa & Doug toys. My favorite part of coming here is the books. My 5 year old loves to read & I love being able to bring her here & literally let her pick out all the books she wants, while spending $1-$2 each book. & their all always good, up to date kids reads. They always have a good selection of DVDs, & always overstocked on toys. I even scored some leapster games once. This place is a shopaholic mama's dream come true. read more

this is a great place to recycle children's clothes and baby items. (and to find great deals on the same)They are very picky and will only take new/gently used and very clean items. They don't take anything stained or that looks worn. (Don't try to bring in a dirty child's seat or swing--clean it first!) However, I am fine with that since they are also reselling. You can bring a bin in and drop it off with your information, then they will call you with a price. You then go in and get your credit or cash and take what they are not interested in. My first stop is here before I donate to Goodwill. read more
