This place is great. I always find nice clothing in here. Its very well organized. Highly recommend.

If I could give 0 star review I would. I have been coming him for a while bringing clothes n toys. Even brought my mom from 2 hours away to sell items here. I went to sell a toy n called not even 20 minutes after leaving if I could get it back bc my child wanted it back. I was told it would be found n separated with a note n I would have to pay back what they gave me n I agreed. Went to the store the nxt day bc they where closing when I called. They ended up loosing a piece of toy set and expected me to pay. I told them I'll pay u when it's found. No one looked for it but myself and partner. Owner was called n seemed like he was going to help by saying he would personally look for it until I asked can I take my toys bc my child wanted it back. He disrespected me and started talking bad about my child when it was uncalled for and then threatened to call the cops. I said I just want the missing piece n I will gladly leave but I also won't pay for something that was lost in ur hands and I didn't get paid what they wanted me to pay back. The employees working that day were helpful n I understood it wasn't on them because they weren't there when I sold it. But very rude owner n will not be taking anything to sell again. Really good selection of used kids clothes. They only wear things for a short amount of time so why pay full price! I also wish I would have saved on baby gear with my first and not got so many brand new things but instead purchased used from here. Babies don't hurt things and they grow so so so fast! I haven't sold to them yet but more to come if I do! read more

Only have a problem when a certain individual is working. If I ever come in on a day she's working, I get attitude and my time wasted. It's as if she hates her job and hates me for coming in so she has to work . Never had an issue with anyone else any other time and have come to this store for years read more

This is one of the better once upon a child in Richmond area . I look for a lot of name brands clothes and shoes for my kids and this store always has a good selection. As for selling I usually take one laundry basket filled with Clothes that I consider still in style and usually they take the whole thing for around $100 . Most people think the selling process is unfair but basically they can't offer more than 1/3 of the price of the clothes original price to make a profit and a lot of people don't consider the condition of the clothes or style they bring in. But if you know what they look for while selling the process is very fair. Store associates always are nice , love the points system and if you shop the same day you sell you get 15 or 20 % off I can't remember. But definitely a great store just remember to bring your own bag also! read more

I brought them a hundred of dollars worth of brand new stuff (stuff from my kid's birthday that she didn't want or already had) and they gave me like 6 dollars. . I also bought a wooden train set for 25$ from there and it had a bunch of broken parts in it... also, the isles are way too close together and you end up brushing against everything as you are walking. read more

Very racist and rude.I do not shop here anymore and the midlothian location smells like old stale feet or something there is linguring in the hvac system not to mention if you're black dont waste your time this place is just awful ,they won't buy from african american even if its new items with the tags still on it .If you are Caucasian they will buy all of your items even if they are nasty dirty and smelly .Not a good place at all I wonder if management or corporate even cares not one black employee either .They will give lame excuses no matter what they should just put a sign on the door that says WE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM PEOPLE OF COLOR this is obvious I will continue to shop at kid to kid they are not racist they are very fair. Their prices for used shoes and coats are OUTRAGEOUS! For USED Nike's--$18. For a USED Rothschild coat --$40! Macy's has them (brand new) on clearance for $17! Some items you can buy brand new on sale for the same price--or even less than--Once Upon A Child charges for used items. I used to love the deals I got shopping there. No more. Also, the workers are not very friendly. Two of them didn't even acknowledge me and were busy complaining about their work schedules. read more

Normally I have never had a issue with Once upon a child but I brought some things for my granddaughter and one of the items feet was cut completely out & i tried to return it. That was a no go because the item tag was removed. Yeah I washed the item before I inspected it. So please inspect every item closely. read more

They are what they call "very strict" when it comes to buying used and gently used children's items, however a Caucasian friend and I have proved that's not really true. So if you have any doubts about your items and an ounce of melanin, I just wouldn't even try. It's not worth hauling your old stuff up midlothian just to get shut down. I've visited this location twice. The first time I planned to drop off some things to sell and browse, but decided to just drop off the bags of clothes because the smell in the store was horrible. It smelled like mold. I took three bags of clothes and they only accepted about 20 items and I got $22 dollars. I decided to give them a second chance today and I only took one bag so I could better judge their buying process. This time they only accepted 10 items for $16. There were a pair of Jordan sneakers that looked new (my 18 month old daughter only wore them about 6 times) and they were only offering $6. Their website says they start at 30% but there is no way $6 for a pair of Jordan's is 30% I took them back because I would rather give them away to someone who needs them. On both occasions they rejected items because of wear or stains that I could not see. If they want new items they should say that. My daughter only wore most of her clothes two or three times. Aside from the fact that they barely accept anything, don't give much for your items and the bad smell, every employee I dealt with was rude. There have only been teenage girls and they seem more concerned with their personal conversations. Then when I ask about the items they accepted and the prices, they act like it's a problem. If it weren't for the fact I put the little bit of money they give me in my daughter's piggy bank, I wouldn't go back. read more
