    Hello happily engaged couple, We understand where you are…read moreright now in the process. You're excited about the engagement, and the thought of your upcoming wedding. Congratulations. We also know however, that the more you Google looking for answers, the more questions you have! Even if you have a venue, you now need to worry about seating charts, timelines, hairstylists, weather, forest fires, COVID, cleanup- oh my! "Do I even need a wedding planner?" may even be a question that you are pondering- and that is ok! The good news is, this review that you are reading is the review you need. As partners, we were asking ourselves these same questions. In hindsight, we would have been stupid to not hire Terri/Events Extraordinaire. Should you simply care about the bottom line, then skip the rest of this review and just hire her already! If you are interested to know why, please see below. Although one of us was skeptical in the value of a wedding planner, I can assure you that Terri's actions and efforts were invaluable in making our day perfect. From the very first meeting, we were relieved at the methodic approach Terri takes to wedding planning. Your first meetings are simply getting to know each other and learning what the couple wants to achieve with the wedding. Terri fairly listened to both of our ideas and provided unbiased feedback and guidance. These little nudges compounded to big decisions which encouraged us along the wedding planning process. Speaking of the process, Terri has one. She has timelines, 'day of' agenda's, and planning deadlines that keep not only the couple, but also your vendors on track! Although you may expect the planning process to go smoothly, just as we had, of course life happens. We had a serious issues with one of our main vendors (That we found before working with Terri) the month before the wedding. We promptly referenced Terri's pre-supplied vendor list and found someone who was more budget friendly, that produced fantastic results. Then, just one week before the wedding, the HMUA dropped out (crazy we know!). Terri picked up her personal cell phone that same day, to step in, and spent the evening with us hunting down alternates. To us, Terri felt like another family member with all of the right tools in her tool box to help us navigate the complex nuances of wedding planning. On the day of the wedding, we hardly noticed Terri- and I mean that in a good way! Seamlessly behind the scenes, our wedding day and timeline panned out about as perfect as it could be. This letter is a testament to her process, value, and care in wedding planning. My problem was I had no idea if I'd have 30 or 100 guests and I just moved here and had zero connections and a few bad experiences with local companies not calling back. Not long after I handed the planning over to someone who lived 3 hrs away and hoped everything would fall into place. When I went to her showroom months later to pay Genice spent time showing me all the treasures she had to throw parties from vintage crystal luncheon trays to mismatched silverware. I could tell she was someone that truly loved helping others figure out what they like and then gets joy out of helping them make their dreams come true. The night of my birthday party Genice and her team were hired to help serve and clean up. But Genice went beyond this... Several times she was seen scooping someone up by the arm and leading them to the dance floor. She wanted to make sure everyone was having fun. She helped me be a better host which was so unexpected. She has a contagious smile and a warm personality. She has chosen the right business and I wish her all the success in the world. She made sure i had everything and kept it organized. We had a great time laughing and keeping things light so there was no stress. I recommend her services and rentals for any event. Also The air conditioned bathroom we rented for the event was absolutely amazing. They supply it all. Cant wait to come up with another event so i can work with her again!!

Pre Booking: When we initially chatted, Melissa made me feel super comfortable and she cultivated trust. I had no hesitations and we went ahead and booked her. What stood out was her commitment to her clients and how much she cares about her work. Leading Up to the Wedding: We did a final venue tour about a month out where we went over questions and site details with the venue coordinator. It went really well and Melissa guided us in thinking through final decisions based on her expertise, but did an incredible job at prioritizing our needs and vision. I put together all of our contracts, tablescapes, and details of who would be bringing what to the wedding in a folder for her so there wouldn't be any surprises for her. Day Of Wedding On the day of our wedding, Melissa took care of all of the details which included overseeing set up of both the ceremony and reception areas at our venue, being the contact person for our vendors, and ensuring we stayed on schedule with our photographer and for the wedding. When I arrived to the venue, she asked a few questions to confirm details and then sent me off to finish getting ready. I ended up doing significantly less work than I thought day of thanks to her! She was so incredible to work with and she ensured that we could enjoy our wedding day together and not have to worry about little details. As an event planner myself, I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking at ways to ease stress and enjoy their wedding day! I was hesitant on booking a coordinator thinking that I could handle everything on my own and I'm so glad I ended up booking Danielle. There's so many details, timing, communications, etc. that go into a wedding that I wasn't aware of, and I would have been so stressed out, trying to do it on my own. As soon as I handed everything off to Danielle it was a weight lifted off my shoulders. She is so detailed and organized and remembers every little thing. I was so at ease leading up to my wedding because Danielle had it all covered. She made our day exactly how we envisioned it. I was able to relax and have fun all day during my wedding because I didn't have to answer questions or find anyone or anything. Danielle took care of it all. Even all our family and friends commented on how on top of everything she was. She went above and beyond and even made sure my husband and I had drinks in our hands throughout the day and always made sure we were being taken care of. Thank you Danielle! We also rented items from Amador Event Co, which was nice because they dealt with the transportation, set up, and clean up of these items and it was one less thing we needed to stress about. We opted in for the month-of coordination and felt that we got the support we needed to run the event. I'd highly recommend everyone work with Amador Event Co.

Lina stepped up for us and helped put together a FANTASTIC party. She transformed a businesslike boardroom into a magical place for a ceremony. She provided the tables, chairs, curtains, most of the decorations, and did the floral pieces as well. She coordinated with our vendors and helped make the ceremony and luncheon one that my parents and their guests will remember forever. In addition to all the setup and coordination, she suggested a photo booth that would print out photos right there that all our guests enjoyed. We could not have done it without her and would gladly recommend her to anyone.

Once we eventually got our photos back we could see just how badly she had done. She used fake flowers when we paid for real, used the literal cheapest decor everywhere possible. We were sold a dream and were left with unlit tacky candles, plastic walls, exposed sand bags and BARE minimum decor. Practically everything she did for us was CHEAP and TACKY. She lied to us about having "a team" when it was just her husband and son that evening. When we reached out for a refund she agreed (clearly she knew she didn't do a good job) but when it was time to pay us she ghosted us for a year despite multiple efforts. Stay far away!!!

Shonna put together a beautiful display of flowers for us. The floral theme was beautifully elegant for our small wedding. I didn't want to let go of my bouquet!!! I would definitely recommend Belles and Whistles for any event (especially a wedding!!!). They took the stress completely out of planning my wedding and allowed me to enjoy every minute of it, from start to finish!
