Toxic work environment, were managements bullies and micromanages staff. Benefits suck! Management…read moreis secretive, unprofessional, arrogant and controlling. They do not trust or value their employees and the owner threatens staff with emails to tells staff they have to "Pay to Stay". They do not care about your mental or physical health. Also be prepared to help answer phones all day and concentrate on your work. Errors are not tolerated however, the training for staff is non existent. People are barely trained and thrown into tasks and then expected to not make mistakes. Management staff are irritable, unapproachable. You feel like you are always being watched and talked about. Turnover is high due to the owner and her incompetent managers/friends. Lastly, they don't have office supplies, you have to ask to get some ordered and paper is handed out at 100 pages at a time and questioned on how much paper you need to use. No organizational structure and ran like a mom and pop business.

I was glad that they found me a assignment after working with them for one day. When it was time for the company to hire me permanent, express just ignored my e-mail and never got back to me on the next steps of the permanent hiring process nor did they response to the numerous calls and e-mails they have received from the employer. They are poor on communication! Then they charge the company for days I haven't even worked!!! The invoices they send are exactly the same week after week and they try and act like it was a mistake once the company called them out on what they tried to do! I can't believe the amount they charge the company for an employee and then pay you b******* money even with years of experience! This agency is all about making money not actually helping people! In order for me to be hired permanently I had to talk with the hiring manager myself. Still to this day they have not got in touch with me on what to do next, and they are still trying to bill the company for hours that I worked after the hiring manager contacted them directly to let them know I work for them now. They have also tried reaching out to one of the administrators to ask them to send them my time sheet so that they can bill the company for the hours I work? Who does this? So unprofessional and sneaky!! I would not recommend this agency to anyone in need of employment. They are better off finding a job on their own, then going through this agency!!! Once you work for them and put your time in that is required in their contract, they will not let you go, cause they still want to get paid off of You! Selfish....

This is by far the worst staffing agency I have ever worked with. The HR manager at a company I…read morepreviously worked for as a temp put me in contact with them so I could work for her company on a temp to perm basis. I signed up and went to work for the company. A couple of weeks later, I received a job offer that only a fool would have turned down so I called the staffing agency to give my notice. Morgan, the recruiter I'd been working with became completely unglued. She accused me of being disloyal, not taking my "opportunity" seriously, and other nonsense. Once I made it clear that I was leaving regardless, she forbid me to come into the office and pick up my paycheck. She was even bold enough to tell me that she was inconveniencing me because I'd done the same to her. She said she would mail it but, naturally, I have yet to receive anything. When I called today to confirm it was mailed, she was rude and unprofessional. She then told me that if I didn't receive it, all I could do was wait 30 days and then "try" to get it reissued. Furthermore, the first two times I called, they didn't pick up but when I called again and blocked my number, they answered. That is completely unacceptable and Express should be ashamed. There is zero professionalism in their office and they only seem to hire a bunch of ghetto girls from PG County with the barest education. The pay is also pretty crappy and so are the benefits. If I do not receive my paycheck by the end of this week, I will be looking into all of my options. As it stands now, I just want to warn others about this so called staffing agency. Do yourself a favor and check out Randstad or Beacon Hill.
