I came in for an oil change and a fluid check on way my through town. He was upfront and told me they probably couldn't get to the car until the afternoon. Later, I'm pretty sure he was the same guy who called me and told me what they found (some fluids needed filling and air filter replacement, etc.), and he gave me an exact price. Prices were decent, but I'm not from the area, so maybe that's skewed. Later, I picked up the car from a different guy and he seemed like I was wasting his time. Excuse me? I'm handing you my credit card and you are taking money from my account. Maybe you want to lighten up. Hit or miss, here. But my car seems perfectly happy and I suppose that's all that matters. Bonus point for being upfront and straightforward about everything. :)

The same folks have been there for years and will ask you about your day or tell you to feel better if they see you buying some cold medicine. After 11 they do close the door and complete transactions though the window but hey, that's perfectly reasonable and safe. It's true they are a couple of cents more per gallon than the conglomerates but I'm happy to spend that to support the owners and nice people who work there. If you're in TGS this should be your go to gas station!

It's not the closest station nearby, but I've found it a cut above the rest because of the personnel. Express Mart was formerly a BP gas product, and has recently transitioned into a Philips 66 product. What I like about these little marts who are typically owned by a family is "cheers" aspect to it. The family that runs this place remembers it's regulars and knows everyone quite well in this small town. Even when you are from out of town, they'll treat you like a "townie". They're not afraid to engage in friendly conversation about anything and develop that relationship between business and customer as eventual friends. The place is a little old, but it looks like it is kept well, including the bathrooms. At these kind of gas stations, I enjoy that option of paying for gas with cash to save....usually...5 cents a gallon. In conclusion, I'll make a point to go out of the way to stop at this store rather than the hipper, and closest stations nearby.

Shop Local! Nice little independently owned gas station…read more(Phillips 66) and convenience mart. Located where Hampton and Watson fork, giving it a prime location. Being an independent owner does not keep them from being competitive in their pricing. Their pricing is the same as the mass chains down the road. Attendents are friendly and chatty, giving it that true mom & pop feel. Whenever I can, I fill my tank up here. Because, shopping local isn't just about retail it is about services too.

The 4-in-1 vac, shampoo, spot remover, car freshener is the bomb diggity. Four quarters gets you a full 6 minutes of go-time! Make it work or like me; have somebody else make it work for you (ladies don't wash cars where I'm from girls) I used the restroom while my car was being cleaned and it was perfectly sanitary.
