It was professional and I did not feel rushed to make a decision. We spoke on the phone and I provided him with the number of windows, etc. He emailed me a quote and the breakdown of the cost for each service included. Some of the other quotes were lower but I could tell that I would get what I pay for. Ronnie (or Ronald) cleaned the interior and exterior of my windows and did an impeccable job. He is extremely detailed and took his time to make sure my windows looked perfect. And they did!!! I did not realize the difference it makes when the windows are clean. The difference in the light coming in was amazing. He even told us which window needed new caulking. I cannot say enough about the quality of his work. However, I want to make a statement about what a nice gentleman he is. He is respectful (e.g., he would not wear his shoes in the house) and kind. There are times when you meet a person and are immediately drawn to them because you feel that they are a good person. That is how my husband and I felt about Ronnie. He came by and checked the length of the gutters and gave me a quote. It was very reasonable so I hired him. He was here for about an hour and sent me pictures of the gutters after. I wish he would've taken before pictures too. We hadn't cleaned our gutters since we moved in about 2 years ago so I'm sure they were a mess. He even power washed the driveway and the patio. We said great, our fence is old and needs a good washing. He said that it would look nearly brand new when he was done with it. He did NOT mention anything about "levels of service" or additional additional fees for prep work or anything like that. One cost, one time service, at an hourly rate. Short to say, they did a horrible job. I asked him to come back out and see if he stood by the result. He told my husband that we "didn't pay additional for any prep work" and that's just what we get. He said he could do the job right if we paid more money. He said he was willing to work on the price.....as if that was supposed to make up for having to pay two times for one service.. We actually ended up doing it ourselves...took us a few hours to do what we had already paid them for. I have pictures comparing our work to theirs...it's a night and day difference. I have literally no idea what service they think they provided, but it sure wasn't cleaning my fence. They'll respond to this and say "We told them that they could pay more for a better product." Well, that's simply not true. They never said that we were going to get a crummy job done, and that we'd need to pay more for it to be right. And I'm sorry, but power washing is not a highly skilled service. Why not just do it right the first time? Why try to charge me twice for one service? The funny thing is that I have a broken arm right now, and I managed to do a better job myself one-handed than this crew did. I did contact ABW directly prior to this review and gave them an opportunity to make it right. They did not, and they tried to charge me more money again. Unfortunately, I will be calling the BBB in an effort to get my refund. Once the BBB sees the pictures, I have zero doubt of this getting resolved quickly.
